- The new 2015 Toyota Corolla takes on the 2015 Honda Civic in a dog eat dog segment. The Civic and the Corolla have been duking it our for years? Which car will take 2015's victory?
the video quality seems to be selling a 1980's civic
I did purchase the Corolla. I have the "S Plus" model which does come with the CVT transmission with 6 gears and 7 when sport mode is engaged. It comes with 6 speakers, not 4 and doesn't sound too bad. A few things I have been disappointed with in the Corolla; the road noise is ridiculous when driving at higher speeds, and it needs power seats in the S Plus model. Last thing I am not too pleased with is how much it lags off the line. I'm not sure if it's the power or weight that contributes to this. I did replace the air filter with a K&N and noticed a big difference.
Joel Wise Well you must have gotton a bad corolla then. My corolla 2015 doesn't make any noise on the high way. I don't even hear the engine while driving.
I had personally went with the 2015 Toyota Corolla. Mainly because it has a more solid reputation for being very dependable and saves me a ton of gas with my daily commute to work. In my opinion, my brand new 2015 Toyota Corolla takes the cake hands down. I am really feeling this car.

The reason he said what he did about take the Corolla if your #1 need is fuel economy is because the difference in fuel economy was tiny, and the Corolla is safer, better looking, better thought out, and you will be happier with it if you don't care about the sluggish performance.
Better editing would have made this video more helpful. When speaking of the Civic, video of the Civic needs to be shown. When jumping to the Corolla, video of the Corolla needs to be shown. Speaking of the Corolla's edgy styling while still showing shots of the Civic interior makes this video harder to watch.
Pianoman 70s style Definitely will change that for the 2016 season. I have received many comments about it.
All the Honda transmission problems I see as a mechanic have made the brand fall out of favor with me. On the other hand, a Corolla has never let me down.
Wait, you said if fuel economy is important, take the Corolla...but you gave the Civic the edge on fuel economy. Was that a mistaken conclusion?

My 2014 Honda Civic has very little road noise compared to the Corolla and better MPG'S so i'm not sure why he recommends the corolla was a better choice for fuel economy.
The voice over video wasn't in sync. Was talking about the civic while showing the corolla.
A better video editing could have made it easier to follow, such as shots according to the commentary. And why not HD?

First you mentioned , Honda has better fuel mileage and speed and at the end you said , take the corolla if you care about fuel mileage... the last sentence made the whole review useless.
Civic dashboard so much better with curvature.
Corolla remind me about Bangkok taxi, flat dashboard. Wonder if it is meant for the driver or the rear passenger??
Just for dashboard, I prefer to buy a car where I will see the dashboard everyday.

Some suggestopns - if you could a) do a better job on the video, hold the camera steady and focus better, and b) relate the video to what you are talking, esp interiors/ styling etc. You can perhaps do the audio description first and then overlay the video.

+allcarseveryday thanks. One more thing - I know you said styling is subjective. But didn't you feel that the dash of a corolla looks rather out of place? It matches more of an suv than a sedan with its almost vertical dash. I think it looks dumb and stark inside a small sedan. Civic on the other hand is more chic.
Anis Watch the 2016 version-it came out a few days ago. All of the above factors have been taken into play. The Civic is brand new for 2016; I'm sure you'll be more satisfied with the styling values as well.
By now most people know the Civic is going to be all new with models on sale later this year.
On cherche la petite bete ca se voit ici. Pick one, they're both good. The base has no cruise control which is bs on the corolla. I just got 5.4l/100l for a 1000km trip to Toronto going 105 km/h so im loving the civic. 50$ cdn to get there
The gas milage is wrong on the corolla. Its 40 on the highway or 41 miles per gallon. And 32 miles per gallon on streets.

I just tried corolla 2015 S model I am really disappointed , could not believe how cheap corolla 15 interior looks, door panel looks like cheap plastic , dash and speedometer surround very ugly ,shifter , I loved my 2008 corolla now I have 2013 Honda civic which has beautiful and expensive looking interior.
Check on you tube Toyotas 2014 and 2015 problems, problems with infotainment systems, back up cameras, doors won't unlock, steering problems, etc..

Why would I watch this video if all you're doing is comparing the base models which are not fair and accurate companions. Most people will get a mid range model and that is what you should so that we can see the wider ranger of features on the car.
As much as I appreciate your efforts and information, the video editing isn't very good. Besides the quality which I can deal with, it's as if your narration wasn't in sync for more than the initial minute of the video. You speak of the features, and cost of the Civic for instance, yet the video pans and scans around the Corolla the entire time...
I just bought a new camera so new videos will be in HD.
