my longest listing is a brand new shirt I listed in 2001, I forgot about it and it never sold so I updated the title to "Vintage shirt" a couple months ago since it technically is now vintage and it sold right away lol
This is the first reseller channel I’ve ever watched that is honest about the time it actually takes for items to sell. Thank you so much for your transparency. New Sub! ❤
I always write a message when i have an item like this saying, i want to make sure you read the description before sending, and give them a chance to make sure they read the description, most get back with me and if they dont I send it out anyway just saves you from some returns you dont need. Love watching what ya sold while im packing up my orders. Keep it up brother, God bless your business
Pro Tip - Axes and Hatchets sell at 5x the speed right now because they are used for chopping wood, which many people use heat their homes with. They also sell for double the price right now vs. summer, so keep that in mind when comping sold listings.
Only been flipping for a about 4 months. I used to just skip over the clothes like most people at garage sales, but after watching your videos I started to pay more attention. I picked up a motorcycle jacket for $25. Great condition, just needs some conditioner to polish it up. New it's $330. Should be able to get $150-200 easy.
It amazes me all the big bulky items you guys sell in the USA and pay such cheap cheap shipping prices!! Here in Canada it's super hard to sell big items because our shipping with Canada Post is so expensive. Example is the Media Mail you have, nothing at all like that here, heavy heavy book sets would be far over $100 to ship here in Canada and probably MORE to the USA. Americans don't realize how cheap their shipping actually is. So difficult here to compete with our shipping prices, that's why I stick to smaller lighter items.
Nice to know that games missing pieces can still sell for good amounts. I seem to always find good games with missing pieces and they wind up in my death pile. 😊
I’ve been reselling full time for the last 3 years.. remember when you buy these items they may sit for a year or more.. have a good filing or shelf location system.. I have about 2500 items and without a system I would be absolutely lost… good info on her.. p.s. do the buy through rates it will give you an idea of the time it may sit around.. cheers
I would love to know your inventory system. I’m panicking with less than 400 items listed. So far, I’ve always found my sold item but I know I need a better system.
Two comments for you you have noticed also about the extra charges for FedEx UPS through Ebay correct we are sellers should do something about that. I’m going to call or try to find out who to call about this because Ebay is doing nothing about it and the other thing you said, something wasn’t listed and you thought it was what the hell I went through some of my inventory the other day and I found 15 to 20 things that weren’t listed and I thought they were. I thought Ebay does not list items at all. You would think they would want to do that because it sellsmoney off them I’m in Ohio as well. Johnstown , Ohio to be specific. Maybe I will come down to your area and pick with you. That would be fun.
I have a question about taxes. If i only make $8000 net from ebay, do i have to do taxes? I checked up if i have to, and google says no, but other people say you do have to. And also i am wondering if you can use the money you spent on buying the stuff as a write off even if you didnt make a sale for them.
I think you have to do taxes on anything over $600 now. I'm not a tax expert, so better to talk to a professional. I always do taxes and file as a business, so not sure about lower numbers in sales
@@FlippingJunk geesh. They be robbing people. Yeah, I'm gonna have to eventually talk to tax person. In the meantime, keep it on the down low if you know what i mean.
Question here, Wick... Is it true that when an item sits in your shop for a year, Ebay automatically relists it + charges 1.00 each month? Is there a way to get around this? Thanks for your help! LOVE ALL your videos, Wick!
Not really anymore. I was getting notifications constantly all day, mostly from extremely low offers. You can set limits so people can't send low offers, but I just prefer to price stuff what I want to get and wait. If it doesn't sell, I'll mark down after a year or so.
All of these idea items look good to grab and sell! However I started not long back in September and made two sales so far posted up a few items but not getting any views or sales maybe a couple watchers but nothing moving further from their and currently in need for some guidance on what to do to make the item/product to have that attention it finally needs coming in with a strong sale. If anyone is kind enough and willing to guid me, please reach back with me here. eBay has been something I been very interested for the longest and finally started but I don’t wanna lose the motivation and stop there so if anyone is kind enough, this message will be here and be waiting for anyone’s help! Thank you 🙏🏻
I was curious about your comment about UPS or FedEx giving you the wrong quote on shipping price. I use them often and I was wondering how you knew that you paid too little? How do they notify you?
You will get an extra charge in your invoice and eBay will message you letting you know they deducted the difference. It usually happens with larger boxes since the eBay discount doesn't consider dimensional weight.
It’s doing that because they are a bunch of clips he puts together. As each item sells he records it before he ships it out, and then puts the clips together to make a big compilation video.
I edit out a lot of coughs and mistakes and pauses when I'm thinking. It can cause it to be a little jerky. For example this video was 56 minutes until I edited down. Nobody needs to hear me caught or say umm six times a sentence lol
I am located in California and my sales have came to almost a complete halt maybe is just people not expending because Christmas season is coming up? hopefully then sales pick up,but sales are really bad right now
It's not worth it. People just buy it, say its bad, then you have to let them just have it or pay the $20 to ship it back. Probably their old one they replaced... All FEE-bay is good for is laundering money I refuse to believe anybody makes real money at it anymore. Maybe in 2007 you could side hustle this with your lawn mowing business and make some good money. But these days it's really not worth it to deal with all the fees and scams...
It is weird. I’ll sell an item for idk 26$ after all the scams from eBay I get 24$. Then I’ll sell another item for 25$ and get 30$. Like what is going on

Is this after you clean the item
I love your videos! You're full of experience and knowledge. I have learned so much over the last 6 months. Thank you!

Watching your videos makes me think i should raise my prices and be patient
I just got excited. You sold something I picked up at my Goodwill yesterday. Thanks for helping me learn some good info about what to pick.
Love these videos the most
I love these quick "What sold" videos! Plz keep makin' them!!!!
I love this style of video. SUPER helpful, thank you!!

I was going through my older inventory and 2 of the items I moved to get something else, sold the next day. Funny how that happens.

just get back on your high horse about how you don’t have to pay for healthcare and I’m sure you’ll feel better about it in no time

Great content, as usual. Thanks for all your videos, wishing you well with your upcoming surgery. Praying for a full and complete recovery.
Hoping you're healing up well if you're done with the surgery. Great sales and greater profits.
Great variety, as usual!
Great job as usual! You provide more information for us resellers than any other youtuber. Keep up the good work!
Great video as always. Time to list

Nice to know that games missing pieces can still sell for good amounts. I seem to always find good games with missing pieces and they wind up in my death pile. 😊
If it's worth it I do a search for the missing piece and purchase it. Really raises the profit on the game.
Here in southern california .. everything is marked up and sellers tend to know what they have plus the massive amount of competition
You got a Which Witch? game?!?! That's on my BOLO list!

The “Which Witch?” game is called “Haunted House” here in the UK. I have one but not looking to sell it yet.🙄
I admire the hustle. Appreciate the content. Wonder how you have time to sleep.
Good Stuff!
Thanks Wick!

Mostly experience and researching it online.

New sub here and new to reselling (baby reseller). Have you had any success clearing out homes for people as a way to obtain inventory?
I've never done it, but it can be a great way to get inventory.
your lowes buys do you use some pricing app or do you just go at the end of the season ?
how much you want for that star blazers dvd set?
I just go in there once or twice a week.
I'll have to check again. I forgot what it was worth. Still sitting in my pile to list.
when is the best time to go to lowes to buy things cheap?
Hard to say. Every store is a bit different, but they seem to have an employee that marks stuff down M-F.
I seem to sell more on mercari. Any advice? Maybe I list my items too high

Thanks again. What sites do u use to find your garages sales
I use Facebook and Craigslist. Local newspaper etc

How on earth do you do taxes? 😅 I'm scared of that part...
Just got to keep track of money spent and money made. Can either do it on a website like TurboTax or pay a tax pro to do it.

I don't think it does. If so, it's something new or maybe if you don't have a store subscription it does?
Do you do Best Offer on ebay?
Not really anymore. I was getting notifications constantly all day, mostly from extremely low offers. You can set limits so people can't send low offers, but I just prefer to price stuff what I want to get and wait. If it doesn't sell, I'll mark down after a year or so.
How do you know how to price everything?
It all comes down to just researching the prices things are selling at. Searching on eBay and looking at the completed and sold listings etc

I think usps ground is the best for most items anyway
I'm not sure if its your camera or your edits but the video keeps jumping. Great content though! Keep up the good work!

Do you ship all your items USPS Priority?
I use everything, but mostly ground advantage.

Do you promote your listings on Ebay? If so, how many, if not all? What percentage do you reccomend on average?
I promote about 75% of my items at 2%. Promotions aren't necessary. A good price and a good item will always sell.
