Just got into Lego building and want to make a city, it's so hard with lego's prices. I see Lego elitists tearing people new ones for purchasing another brand and it's a bit intimidating. But this one looks incredible and for half the price of what Lego does. I'm gonna have to get this one now, thanks for the video!
For personal display purposes that's totally true. Though the resale value is always a consideration. If down the line you want to vary up your collection and off-load some of your least favorite sets to make room for new releases. Perhaps in time as third-party options like FunWhole get more recognition that may change.
@@danjal87nl The problem with Lego is that resale value was never really a consideration until about 10 years ago when the Comic and Collectable market began taking over ebay... Lego was just fun, and you could find used models for used/reasonable prices... the moment the whole 'how much is it worth' bit began to happen, that's when everything shifted...
I found your channel because i needed help on a build and was just getting started as a beginner. Now I just watch for the fun of it. The steampunk set kooks so awesome. Great job, love the positivity of your vids as well.
Hi Scott, what an awesome build, have just finished the train station and loving it, would love to see how well funwhole could do the horror idea. think that would be great.
These new companies are terrific with excellent designs, good brick quality, fun builds and good instructions. I do wish they would include a USB plug for lights though.
I’m an avid LEGO builder and own and built most of the big LEGO sets and it’s my favorite hobby by far. I’ve reached a point to where there isn’t anything new from LEGO for me to build (that I’m interested in). My question is how is the quality? Do the sets stay together well (clutch power). I’d love to find another company with fun and interesting builds, but worry that the quality is substandard.
Honestly the clutch is great , lego have the edge on minifigures but the design of these sets gets consistently better and it is well worth taking the plunge and trying one
This looks beautiful. My only bug bear is that the battery box hasn't been incorporated into the build, so it's hidden. It just spoils the look a bit. We're there any stickers? It didn't appear so. Thanks for such a comprehensive review.
There are a few stickers but not many , the battery box is out of sight but you are right it isn't incorporated into the build , you can however light it via an alternate power source with the USB adaptor and remove the battery box all together
Looks like a terrific set. Perhaps this heralds a move away from Lego? If I place an order on the Funwhole site which shipping start option do I use for the UK? It doesn’t clarify this.
Have you seen their new release for steampunk the flying club building? There’s also a bridge. Miss seeing your FunWhole videos. They even have a cyberpunk theme now too
@TheComicLibrary hi , I will have 3 fun whole videos going up very soon I also have a secret set arriving shortly that will also be featuring on the channel
@ fantastic! I love watching you build the sets. I discovered FunWhole through your channel and I’m happy to see how they are growing. I don’t buy Lego anymore. It’s too overpriced and the quality isn’t as good as FunWhole
I like your reviews, but have you thought about cleaning up your work space and in particular the bits that we see and where you show the sets you've built
@calvincampbell64 no not really , I have between 10 and 15 projects on the go at any one time so the practicality of having an immaculate work station isn't there
Just imagine what you would have to pay the Danish billionaires at Lego for such sets ... without lights, at worse quality and execution - just pathetic. Thank you Funwhole for putting the bar where it belongs.

They're definitely giving Lego a run for their money with these cool detailed sets.
