+Royal Me al Sadd won the Asian cup twice and the only Asian team to become the third in the WC for clubs. So there is history there. The reason you see empty seats is because his team doesn't have the biggest fanbase in the country it's like the third biggest. Others like Al rayyan and Al arabi (at times since their team sucks nowadays) are the ones able to fill most of the seats. It's also a population issue.
Honestly, he is playing amazingly well in Qatar. He even takes offensive licences that he didn't take at Barça. He could've stayed at Barça if he meant to keep playing at this great level. He's still much better than most midfielders out there. It's hilarious to see his teammates constantly fuck up, they are light years away from him.
Those passes that pierce the tightest space into nothing... this man Xavi has still got it. But its just sad to see that his teammates aren't of ANY quality to even put a strike on target. What an insult to the talent at hand.

He's hardly ruined his career, he's just winding down to retirement by playing in an easier league. That way, he can play for a few more years before he retires and becomes a coach/manager. Having said that, because of his style of play, he could probably still play at the top level for a few years, but he's earned the right to slow things down a bit leading up to his retirement.
Seb Fox He's the high workrate type of midfielder whose strength always was is his flexible and intelligent positioning. He'd run all over the pitch and had great stamina. But I guess you're right. I'm only annoyed by how his one clubness is gone. Atleast one more year at Barca would be enough :(

However, a lot of the top players are starting to move to easier leagues to wind down at the end of their careers these days. It gives them another year or two of playing football, as the level and intensity is lower than they had to play at before.
