I grew up on this music coutesy of the WNBC / Radio Nigeria redifussion box on the wall of our modest parlour in the heart of Ibadan in the very early 70s. Thanks to TH-cam for enabling us to keep those iconic songs and artists alive for ever.
Vintage baba why worry. This takes us back to our past when our dear country enjoy some orderliness. May the good Lord continue to bless this our duo baba wherever they may be.
Once again, thank you so much for this beautiful music. Suberu Oni lived behind my grandma's house in Ondo town. I must have seen him and the band a million times. Thank you so much.
Thank you Egba Alake for bringing the music of yesteryear, it reminds me of Lagos in those days, when Ariya olopin in Nigeria in the 60's. There is peace, no corruption and no armed robbery. God bless you guys.
There is no substitute for the music of yesteryears. Thanks vuys for ur enormous contributions to music. I am so glad to be remembering ans seeing the music I grew up with. May the souls of these various artists continue to rest in perfect peace.
very lovely music. I remember those the tough guys at the back of my granny's shop in Idumagbo Lagos love to hear this. and Shaklery (of Campus Area Lagos) of blessed memory, took to his music. I bought some cassette from a record seller at Akanni street, by Bristol Hotel when I left nija in 2002. I've overplayed them. I hope to find them on CD.
My father use to play this music when i was a little boy. God will continue to bless you for this uploading . Please i need more of this great legend Suberu Oni's music
Thanks very much EgbaAlake for this upload! My dad used to play this album every morning on saturday. My brother and I would sing along and simply enjoy the melody not fully understanding the lyrics. Good thing that some of the lyrics stuck in my head and as I grew, i would find solace in the truth in those lyrics. I have been looking for this album for ages. So, believe me when I say thank you!
Chief Lisa-Suberu ati Oni. EgbaAlake, you are just full of wonder. I have been looking for this gig for a long time (very hard to come by this days). Thanks very much.
