  • In this SUPboarder 'First Look' video we are taking a look at the Surf iSUPs from Itiwit. We have the 8' and the 9' to get on the water. These boards are available through Decathlon and they have many new features that we've not seen on any other brand before. We look forward to getting them on the water soon and seeing how they perform.
    Length 8’
    Width 30”
    Volume 135L
    Length 9’
    Width 32”
    Volume 175L
    Remember these first look videos are not full SUPboarder reviews, they’re not even close! They are unedited, gut feeling videos showing what’s in the box and how they look for the first time.

    I am one of the people who asked about the possibility of a review on these boards, so really chuffed to see this! So cool to see comment discussions taken into consideration. Looking forward to the full review! Might still end up with one, just a shame that the price has gone up since they first released these;-/ (luckily not by tooo much though) Keep up the good work Reuben 🤙

    Very interesting. They both look very cool and solid. I like the rails thing. And that uber-pump... oh my!

    The touring iSups that they have aren't half bad either, around here you can get them from Decathlon. They have rigid surf sups too and afaik the touring rigids from Tribord have been re-branded to itiwit.

      Cause it's Decathlon's own brand. :)
      They are decent quality, but really overpriced here, for a low end brand. But so are every other brand.

      We are going to be looking at one of their Touring board soon too.Thanks for the comment.

    Can you review the new Itiwit longboard surf 500 please! :)

      Hi Brenden, , We are trying to get hold of one, but we are getting a-lot of Customer feedback of how the new longboard is very technical to surf because of its thickness. Thanks Reuben

    Hi there, unfortunately these boards are no longer available. The new itiwit 500 comes in Size 9 & 10, would be great to get your opinion to the new 2020 model.

      Yes we have heard this. Which we think is such a shame. We are trying to get hold of a few new boards. Thanks for the comment. Reuben

    Will you test the new ones (2020)?

      We haven't got them on the new review list at the moment. ☹️ But we will keep an eye on and try and get one sorted.

      @@SUPboardermag Just ordered (some in finally) the 3" thick 10' longboard version. I plan to do my "flex test" on it as am not convinced how stiff a 3" board is. It could be either evolution or a surfing banana :-) They use the higher end woven dropstich technology similar to Starboard so although more money are far cheaper than Starboard. Decathlon sometimes come up with a blinder or a product such as their Stylus eMTB so we will see.

    Hello ! Do you think the 8 or 9’ works for kids? I have 2 daughters (10 and 6 years old ).
    Do you suggest these ones ? Or maybe another size ?
    Thanks one more time ! Very nice video as always does ! Keep paddling and safe !

      Hi Fabio , My daughter who is 6 prefers 8' boards.
      The only thing I will say about these boards compare to other boards that kids can use is they are heavier and will find them harder to carry to the waters edge. If that might be an issue? Thanks Reuben

    When I unfold my board I press in the valve for a second or two, it'll suck in some air and the board won't roll back.
    Just an advice. :)

    Have you guys had a chance to try the itiwit 9ft 160l and or 10ft 140l surf 500 boards yet? Would love to know your thoughts.

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No we haven't, but we have had a fair few comments from other SUBS and they all like the performance of the board. But they are not as stiff as these boards. So better for riders 85kg and under with their reduced thickness. Hope that helps a bit? Thanks Reuben

      @@SUPboardermag Hi Reuben, Thanks for taking the time to reply. My friend has the 9ft itiwit you reviewed in this video and its excellent. I currently have the Fanatic Air Stubby and it doesnt ride aswell as the 9ft. Im trying to find some decent reviews of the new itiwits 9ft/10ft to see if its worth upgrading to them.. I would go for the 9ft 160L as it should be thicker due to the 4" deck. Dont suppose you could point me in the directions of the SUBS you mention? Cheers again Chris

      Hey Chris. I think it could be worth going for that board.
      The subscribers and feedback we get if from our SUPboarder pro members. Check out what you get here. supboardermag.com/pro/ Theres loads of videos of all things SUP on there. And you get to ask us endless questions about SUP too 😉. Happy SUPing Reuben

    Did you inflate them up to 17psi? They seemed a bit wrinkly in some spots. Also what did you think about the nose rocker?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      These were just inflated to about 13psi for the video. Didnt want to be too out of breath for the rest of the video ;-) The nose shape is good. But we will see if its enough when we test it. Thanks Reuben

    Can 9' board support weight of 100kg? Thanks

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We do know paddlers who use the 9' at 100kg but it really comes down to your ability. At 100 kg it won't be as stiff a board compared to a lighter person using it. But when you're on a wave it will still surf well with your weight. If you have already come from a surfing background it shouldn't be too much of a problem. But it's brand-new to Sup surfing or surfing it might be more of a handful. I hope that helps in some way? Reuben
