If it gets picked, Washington can return it. The whole point in a quick kick is that you catch the defense off-guard. They don't have anyone back there to handle it, so you're probably going to get a lot of roll after the ball hits the ground. And if they try and pick up a rolling, bouncing ball, there's a reasonable chance they muff it, and you can recover.The only real down-side is if you somehow screw things up and do something like accidentally kick one of your linemen in the ass while you're trying to do it :-)

I’ve already lived through this period of depressing Eagles history. Success in the NFL requires a lot of good variables to be in place, a good owner, a good GM, good to great coaches and players. I know this rarely happens and there is a good reason for that. I don't get how this is a good idea and how it helps. I mean worse case you only run the ball for a few yards and have to punt on 4th down
