As Toni said, I get that impression with most AEW promos - for good or for ill.
AEW doesn't script their promos, the wrestlers just get bullet points they have to hit. They can get to those points however they choose in the time allotted. Leads to a more natural delivery.

I love Punk has kept his "Cult of Personality" theme
This man has carried this theme from his backyard days, to ROH (late in his career there), to having a hiatus from it with This Fire, to bringing it back in 2011, to walking to the octagon with it (twice!) to it randomly popping up on a FOX talk show, now in AEW, Cult of Personality will be with him forever, live and in living colour

I had that same feeling until you see the botches and the 20 minute matches of kicking out of 10 different finishers every week gets old. Not to mention the stale storylines that seem to never go anywhere. No training facility for the green wrestlers either.

Honestly even if he wasn’t “suppose to” I think it was a smart move. I’m watching every show and PPV waiting for that moment next now. We all new if Punk was returning it’d be in Chicago so we all watched. DB doesn’t have a sure place to return. But with that hint a lot of us will watch everything to make sure we don’t miss that moment. I truly believe All Out something big will happen. Maybe DB or maybe Aj Lee. We’re all watching though that’s for sure.
