If I made a reel it would be all bloopers! I blue lined a couple of weeks ago after several days of rain and cooler temperatures and had some good success. The bride and I went last week and saw 0 trout, 4 bears and caught about 2 dozen creek chubs.
It takes a real connoisseur of native fishing to enjoy a good day of creek chub fishing. The branch behind my folks house had creek chubs and Dace minnows. That’s where I learned to small creek fish.
I started back chasing trout last week, first daylight, only fish a few hours, still hot. I'm not bluelining yet, fishing the main river for big brown's. I'll only do this for a couple of weeks, then it's back to bluelining. Have you guys fished the courthouse creek area? Enjoyed watching. 👍
We have fished very little this summer but here it’s been pretty wet but also hot. The trips we did were high elevation and the water was plenty cold enough. The next few weeks offer some great fishing with smaller crowds. I have not fished the courthouse creek area.

@@bluelineoutfitters3964 Creek chubs are good practice setting the hook on light strikes for sure. That’s what I told myself the silver lining was.
