What you've done for Charlie is nothing short of incredible. He was so much more open to interaction with people after you sat with him. Another Tuesday, another life saved by your kindness.

Rocky, posted separately. If you look, my husband and I will take Charlie if we can get him to Illinois. We are retired, empty nesters, both our dogs passed away last summer within 3 weeks of each other. It broke my heart, and I have not wanted to get another dog until I saw Charlie. We can give him the home and love he needs. We live in a rural area😂 on an acre of land with a full fenced in back yard. Temperpedic dog beds waiting, several lab cousins to play with when he's ready, healthy homemade food, lots of pets and adventures, and an immeasurable amount of love to give. Can you get us any info about flying animals through airlines coach or private airline services?
I wouldn't know where to begin. Hey Rocky, you could bring him to us! Check out where Charlie is going to live and play and eat as well as visit some wonderful shelters in our area as well as quite a few breeders. You might find it interesting! Take care 😊
As an owner of a black lab girl, this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for all the beautiful work you and the rest do.
Although I'm a total cat person, this made me tear up, too. These are sentient beings just like us, and seeing one so broken down and then watching the spark reignite - these peoples' work is incredible.

It really is heartbreaking to see these dogs get so downtrodden. Yet seeing how they respond to love is so encouraging.

Had to put our 11 yr old chocolate to sleep last year when he got cancer. Broke our hearts. He was the sweetest soul you'd ever meet. I still miss him all the time. Chocolates are the best dogs ever.

They really are. Ours had to be put down exactly 2 months ago. God I loved him. It was so tough to let him go. Rest in peace, my friend. Such sweet friends, and to see them this way really hurts too. It is good to see that some people actually do really care about them though. Thank you for all of your hard work and the videos you create.

Chocolate Labs are beautiful sweet dogs, so to see him in a shelter looking terrified something is terribly wrong.
It seems like he was abused, that slow cautious shake just made me feel so sad.
Also goldies is so sweet also surprised he was in there too, he's such a good boy.

Interesting work with the Chocolate Labrador. Good observations, like he just wanted to escape the room...because you were in it. Also, that he had such abnormal behavior for a normally happy, kind dog type. How nice Charlie responded to peace, a bath, kindness, etc. Enjoyed the work for Wednesday and that the Golden Retriever got a home.
I pray Rocky finds his loving and forever home. He’s so sweet.

We rescued a black lab who had spent the first months of her life tied in a yard. She was punished for digging and was afraid of sticks. She turned into the most amazing stick retriever.

I've just discovered your channel as a way to help me through the loss of my beloved Sophie who passed last wednesday 13th Sept. Watching this she has reappeared as Daisy in 4. She is an exact of my Sophie. Everything about her is my Sophie He colouring and mannerisms, the exact. What a shock but so good to see this "Daisy". Has made me smile again today. By the way I'm in Australia watching. Love your content, please keep posting.
So much love and prayers for a loving and forever home for CHARLIE....when he gives ROCKY his paw - I can't even💔. One of the most important messages in this Video is that ANY breed can find themselves in a shelter - Teddy and Charlie prove that to be true - ADOPT don't SHOP! Once got a rotti that was terrified of everything. It was so gratifying to watch her confidence grow, she was a real sweetie!
We are owned by a chocolate lab named Mandy. Seeing Charlie broke my heart. I can’t imagine our Mandy looking like that. Chocolates are puppies for life. Everyone lovingly refers to our Mandy as a chocolate mousse because she so sweet.

I just can’t watch these videos. The thought of anyone abusing dogs or really any animal like this cuts me to the core. Grateful to all that help these dogs find their way to a much deserved loving home!

I now have my 4th shelter dog and they've all been amazing.
Having had 4 dogs rescued whilst I was living in Greece until I returned to the UK, 2 of them were lab mixed. The personality of them were playful and protective... sadly all 4 have since passed away and it was lovely watching this, remembering them. Thanks!!!

We were blessed with a 6 week old chocolate Labrador due to an unexpected litter . A miss communication. I honestly was thinking I am too old for his energy. It's so nice to see you let the dog come to you. I've seen many TV shows from shelter, and it is sometimes evident that they are going too fast for the animals.
I can't have pets where I live now, but if I ever buy a house, and I have enough free time to take care of one, I am definitely adopting from a shelter / charity.

It always amazes me a animals capacity to forgive and move on when loved and cared for. I simply don't understand why some people have pets when they aren't prepared to love and care for them. I have two kitties and they are very much part of the family.

Had a black lab growing up, that dog was the pinnacle of strength, no fear, no stress, very relaxed and happy. To see one that dejected, he mustve gone through some hell

Every time I watch these clips, its always an avalanch of emotions from rage to sadness to laughter etc. Dogs dont deserve so much, too much of what mankind subjects them to..! Surely we can do better with just a bit of thought and state relief for vet costs.

First time watching, and I'm telling you, I'd have a hard time picking only one dog to take home, I'd need a big van, and want to take them all. Your a lovely man, doing a great job, so are all the other staff that work there, please carry on and don't give up on trying, because it's that, that makes the difference. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🎃

I have a yellow lab she is the happiest dog in the world she is mu life saver I also have a northern Inuit but my chunky monkey has a special place as she helped me through some really dark times. It so sad to see a lab so shut down as they are such happy friendly dogs. Poor boy I hope he found a great home xx
I lost my beautiful chocolate lab in June after 16 years. I really miss her so it makes me heartbroken to see him like this. Hope he is safe and happy now I'd take him home 🐾🐾💗

So true to get a lab and a golden retriever in a shelter … so sad that the lab was shut down … it’s so true that it’s nearly impossible for a lab not to be happy … they are the all around American breed for a family and the fact that this lab was broken down is so depressing… it’s like unbelievable…
My brother's lab doesn't act like this she's well taken care of. This poor puppy dog's last owners were cruel to him. Makes me feel so sad for him. But Rocky you and your staff will fix that!!!

How anyone can mistreat a lab is beyond me. We had a lab when our children were young, he was the best babysitter ever. Now we are retired and we got another lab, he is our joy, and when the kids and grandkids come for a visit he acts as if he is in heaven, and gets so excited to see his extended family. The only problem we have is keeping him out of the swimming pool.

Humans would not be where we are without horses, cattle, camels and DOGS. Too often we forget the contribution to our condition made by dogs.
I have had a dog with me all my life, sometimes two. I am now old and nearing the end of my life. My last dog died only a couple of years ago but I will not get another one. I have developed bonds, with all my dogs, so strong that the dog wouldn't know what was happening if I died first. I miss every single one of them.

Sucks to see a chocolate lab in that state. I've had mine since she was a little less than 2 months old. Shes always so energetic and happy. She loves getting attention and affection from anyone.

God I love witnessing emotional intelligence. You can study an animal all you want but to actually get what needs to be done or said to connect...it's everything to me. You can lead the horse to water and give him an education but you cannot make him drink.
I am watching this in bed and my dog was snugged in asleep until she heard the squeaky toy.

My fam adopted a 4 year old chocolate lab a few months ago, she is a lesser version of this dog but its very hard to get her to fully get her guard down. Still flinches sometimes when we make sudden movements

As an owner of a 10 year old chocolate lab I never seen 1 so shut down not knowing what squeaky toy was,he must of had so much abuse in his life,but VC after a good bath he was looking good
I’ve owned labs(mainly chocolate) and it hurt my soul seeing how Charlie acted. He was definitely abused IMO mentally and physically. Great seeing how well he popped back after just 1 day.
The fact that Charlie knows tricks makes me think he must have been a family dog, which is sad. When in the world happened to him that broke his spirit so much and put him in there.
