Yes thank you Sir! For the record, my son (whom is 10 years old ) and I watch every episode, even if I don't " care" for band or want need info, the way you lay out all info is useful, well explained and appreciated. You've introduced both he and I to new/ new to me ( obviously him) bands and materials. Thank you thank you, happy Thanksgiving. We wish you the best ❤
Thank you David for all you do for the guitar player community. I really wish your channel to get more subscribers. Your videos are very much appreciated.
I remember back in the day when Guitar Techniques and Total Guitar were the best place to find really accurate tabs. Now they're everywhere for free pretty much.
Thank you for all you do in the guitar community and I just learned some stuff from the Steve Vai videos that I didn't know a guitar could do. Many thanks.
Loved this. For me, my first issue was in late 95 A to Z of great riffs. This introduced me a certain Mr Van Halen. I learned about so many guitar heroes from this and Total guitar for the lols.
I bought the 2nd copy of GT and continued collecting for a number of years . Was learning Since I’ve Been Loving You from the same October 1996 edition only the other day (p.88). I’m sure there was a Bernie Torme edition somewhere in that box Mr Brewster 😉
Hey Dave, I'm lucky enough to have every single issue, first I knew it was over was when tye last issue arrived. I'm absolutely gutted this mag has gone, sad, sad day. It definitely made me a better guitarist.
I couldn't wait for the next month to go down to my Barnes and Noble and get the next issue of Guitar Techniques and did so from 2011 till 2019 then they didn't have the cd rom with it anymore .
I saved years of guitar mags that came with cd's. Now, after 50 years of working, I have the time to start to go through all this stuff! Except now I have to worry about healthcare and social security....fungoo!
Oh that sucks.. these mags were the ONLY way to get decent info back in yhe 90's ive got boxes of them under the house nothing compares to finding one back in the day with a song you always wanted to learn for me it was comfortably numb i still have that mag in my current pile lol so sad to hear they're stopping production.. bless ✨🙏🕊️
GT nurtured many truly great players and exposed us to many forms of guitar expression. Alas, now it's another casualty of the digital information age where people only see what they search for. I have quite a collection of guitar magazines myself, all stored in air-tight boxes, but I haven't looked at them in years; not since I got into computers and discovered a new world of interactive teaching resources. Progress is always a double-edged sword.

Ya when I first found these they couldn’t put them out fast enough 😂 I remember going to Barns& nobles or Border, and there was always some sort of lag time every month, I would get so mad because I might miss something !!!!! But like you guys I got boxes full of these along with all the others 😎 They were great sad to see them go ……
In the style of Rodney Dangerfield: I get no respect, I tell ya. No respect at all. No respect. Last night, I walked into a casino. This bruiser waves me over to play roulette... I think the guy was Russian! No respect. The inside (not so funny) joke: A revolver has a cylinder, not a magazine.

I concur.

Thanks for this bit of nostalgia. Your love for guitar is infectious. Really appreciate your dedication to the guitar community. David from Belfast
WOW... RIP Borders books, RIP print mags.. thanks for keeping the spirit alive on your channel.
I think these magazines should start pressing thick books with old issues jammed in em.
I have years of GT mags- love when they had actual songs back in the day
I used to love Phil Hilborne's "A - Z Of Great Riffs"
Nice little bite size lessons.

Guitar Techniques=⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
David Brewster=⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was subscribed for years and have all the magazines from then. I'd have to live 10 lifetimes to learn everything I want from these.
Well it's like Dylan said, times they are a changin'! It's tough to see, but cheers to you for paying homage to such an important legacy.🤘🎸✌️
You are awesome dude, we change with the times, I guess. We feel loss, and heal together with music. Bought some shirts (they are Sweet!) Cheers!

Dave Kilminster was my Favorite, but love all of them. I have a big collection of guitar techniques.
I have learned a lot from GT over the years as well as GP. I have been a GP sub since the mid 70s.
Too bad. Guitar Techniques was my favorite.
I used to pay $15 for them, twice as much as for other mags, but it was well worth it.
I couldn't wait for the next month to go down to my Barnes and Noble and get the next issue of Guitar Techniques and did so from 2011 till 2019 then they didn't have the cd rom with it anymore .
Dang, I really liked "Guitar Techniques" (yes, from Borders or Barnes & Noble).

TH-cam killed these magazines, plus the cost is expensive, and you can't trust the reviews. Sad, but it's time up for this format.
What Borders did you go to route 18 north east Brunswick NJ your a Genius

I think Guitar World will be the next magazine to shut down. It costs too much to produce them.
I love GT. This realy sucks. Thank you for the posting this. Love your videos.

Yes, the UK guitar mags were high protein!

It was the best magazine
It's not great David. Saw another video on the subject that these three rags are owned by the same publisher.
