"Holly Jolly Christmas " performed by Burl Ives is probably my favorite Christmas song. I was born in 1961 and remembered watching Rudolph as a kid. I was a sensitive kid and Rudolph being bullied and the lonely misfit toys always made me cry.
I've watched Rudolph since it debuted in 1964 and have never missed it. I love all the Rankin / Bass produtions. They are a staple for our holiday season. So happy someone donated them to the museum. So many memories from my childhood in this museum. Thank you for making this vlog.
I just told the story at our Christmas gathering that I saw the episode “Best of Roadshow” where the gentleman appeared with Santa and Rudolph in disrepair where his aunt owned them for years. Then only today two different videos appear in my recommended list, your’s and then a short piece on the team that refurbished the two historical pieces. Pretty cool! At 57 yrs old I grew up seeing the show every Christmas.
I'm 42 years old and watch Rudolph every year whether my kids want to watch it with me or not just because it beings back so many great memories from childhood. I actually DVRd Rudolph and Frosty a couple weeks ago and I'm gonna save them just incase I get the itch to watch them before Christmas comes around again. My son used to have the big Christmas DVD set that had all the Christmas classics on it but they got scratched up over the years and we had to throw it away. Always loved watching Gumby and also Davey and Goliath as well. Just great memories!!!
My Mom & I visited Burl Ives grave ( Sam the Snowman in Rudolph) in Illinois last year. What a talented man, he was! Brought tears to my eyes!!! Thank you for this one, Jordan. So awesome!!!
One of my favorite memories as a child growing up was watching Rudolph every year. I would cry at certain spots in the show, especially the end, I couldn't bare it to be over. Now I'm a Grandma and I can't wait for the chance to watch Rudolph with her. I have the DVD, and I'll make sure I have the popcorn & cocoa ready for when we can watch it together!!! Thank Jordan, this vlog took me back in time! So thankful to hear these old friends are doing ok!!! 🌼
Thank you Jordan for taking me to my childhood. Brought back memories of fruitcake, and our silver Christmas tree with the rotating electrical light to make it change colors. Fond memories of my parents who are both gone now. How wonderful. Always, Veronica Reeves.
This is so cool Jordan, I had no idea the puppets were that small. I've watched Rudolph every year at Christmas since it debuted, in 1964. The Rankin Bass specials are 2nd to none. Thanks for another great video! Love your channel!
It's nice to see all this, reminds me of years past when things were simple. And Jordan you stay young by letting the little boy in you out once in a while.
Hi Jordan, to show my age, 61, I remember seeing this when it first aired, this & Charlie Brown are 2 of my favorite Xmas shows, in fact, when it aired, the original sponsor was oddly enough, Norelco shavers, so it shows just how much time goes by!!!
This vlog is even better than I thought it would be. I love seeing the 1964 Santa and Rudolph, it took me back to my childhood. All the puppets were great especially the older ones. Tremendous job on the Vlog.
Jordan Thank You for Wonderful Vlog so many childhood memories you got me in tears on this one who wouldn't love to see Santa & Rudolph I hope you had a Bless Christmas
hey Jordan and jah!! love Rudolph the red nose reindeer!! thank you for doing this segment!! we love you!! happy 2022!! hugs and kisses to you!! peace ✌out!!❤
Thanks Jordan for allowing all of us to be a part of your journey! It's really amazing that all of these treasures have been saved, and preserved. As a society, we throw away so many things. They don't seem important at the time. Very sad. Thanks again!
WONDERFUL STREAM Everyone's Childhood. That was soo nice of him to donate them. I LOVED Wayland Flowers and Madame Thank You for sharing. Happy New Year and Peach and Health to all.
This was awesome!!!! I remember when Rudolph and Santa were first discovered and I couldn't believe they had survived. Being a prop collector myself, I so appreciated that these treasures were still around and were so lovingly restored. I would love to visit that incredible museum! Thank you so much for the tour!!!
This was great to see. I love Rudolph so this really made me reflect back on watching it as a child. What great times. Wish we could go back in time sometimes. Keep on being you! 🦴🐾❤️
I never forget watching that classic year after year growing up. I even watched it recently on You Tube. What memories of much better days. Amazing that only these two survived is a Christmas miracle on its own! I take it was meant to be. It gives us hope that happy days are coming our way again. They have been restored like brand new. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness!! This warmed my heart ❤️ And brought me right back to the 1970s and my childhood in Tennessee. Every Christmas we would be so excited for this & the year without a Santa Claus to come on. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤️
I used to watch this and the frosty and Jack frost! My grandma would always have one playing for me. The memories are real and it feels so good. The nostalgic feeling I have right now is just over the moon. Thank you for this! Happy holidays and happy new year!
Hi Jordan, I don't think there is anything more warming than memories of you're past childhood Christmases, and this vlog brought them back. Watching Rudolph as a kid with friends and family that have now passed, and, in happier times. I am just so, so pleased that these puppets survived. A very Happy New Year to you, Jah and you're family. Great vlog Jordan.
So Happy you took us to see this! I am definitely going to plan a trip next year to see Santa and Rudolph in person😍 my love for Rudolph has grown stronger every year since I first watched the movie when I was a little girl❤️ Sure wish all the characters could have been saved. BIG THANK YOU FOR THIS ONE JORDAN🎄
Incredible!!! I thought Santa and Rudolph were resigned to a historical memory! I was born in 66, so Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Rudolph, A Year Without A Santa Claus are HUGE Christmas memories for me. Snow Miser/Heat Miser are my jam! I love all the old stop motion movies. I remember watching Davey and Goliath every Sunday after church along with Gumby. Geez that was ions ago, lol! This was very special! My kids love them as much as I do. The Charlie Brown Holiday cartoons need to be mentioned, although not puppets. Thank You Jordan for the opportunity to see a piece of my childhood! Jill Gross
Thank you Jordan for producing this uplifting Vlog. Also a big thank you for releasing it just hours before we say goodbye to 2021. It struck me that the exhibits in this fabulous museum are so much more than just 'puppets', they represent imagination, ingenuity and the happiness that these gifts can bring to so many people - just like your Vlogs. So a sincere thank you Jordan for another year of brilliant Vlogs. Wishing you Happy Hogmanay from Scotland.
Going down memory lane. Rudolph was was always a classic Christmas show, now and forever. Sesame Street/Muppets. Thanks for the good vlogs this year Jordan!
Loved Rudolph and Frosty. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful memory of Christmas time. Loved so many of the Muppets especially Count.. Saw your live before seeing this. Looking forward to future volg in that setting. Lol Happiest wishes for your New year. Remind Jah he has many fans that love our Jordan and Jah channel. God Bless us all in 2022
Finally, a man that knows the true story. Thanks Jordan. This was and is the start of my Christmas season, for some reason I have always love puppets. Does anyone remember TOPO GIOGO from the Ed Sullivan show? He was the sweetest puppet ever. Happy New Year Everyone.
I remember seeing the rudolph characters on the show profiles in history where i believe they were restored. Don cornelius licking his pick ax is the best character, hes great
I loved the Christmas movies and Sesame Street. I'm glad Santa and Rudolph were repaired. There were a lot of muppets. I so wish I could get here and see this wonderful place. Thank you for showing us Santa and Rudolph. Thank you for all the wonderful videos. I look forward to all the videos you do next year. Happy New Year. Stay safe and take care.
Jordan - What a great Christmas treat. I can't believe the story about the Rudolph and Santa puppets. - just fascinating. So many other childhood memories with all those puppets. Would love to save up and visit. What fun. Thank you so much Jordan and Happy New Year to you and Jah! Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
Such a classic holiday movie!! It’s great that the person who bought it decided to donate it to the museum of puppetry. I remember Castle Noel in Ohio tried to get them. Anyway i’m happy you and Jacob the Carpetbagger featured them in your channels. Have a Happy New Year Jordan and to many more fun adventures in 2022
This was amazing, Rudolph🦌 and Santa 🎅 so kind of the owner to donate to the museum to view , such a treasure. Thanks so much Jordan this was a great way to start the new year . So many memories pigs in space 💛 the Lion king 🦁 wow , and the history of puppetry incredible. Such a fantastic museum to visit. Happy New Years everyone 2022 ...
That exhibit looks awesome! I been wanting to visit it myself. My favorite part was the Santa Claus and Rudolph puppets, I seen those videos you were talking about. I think it's awesome that they were used as Christmas decorations but it's sad on what happened to them along with the other puppets that were completely destroyed.
I remember seeing that antiques road show. I believe it was held in Hot Springs Arkansas where I work. It was so crazy thinking those Rudolph puppets would have found their way here.
Lol -i won't tell anyone! My favorite is Santa Claus is coming to town. My family has red hair (all except me) and I always identified with the red haired characters.
Hi Jordan! Just was thinking of you and Jeff Kidd and wanted to wish you, your family and girlfriend a Great Happy New Year! Keep upthe great work. Can't wait for the next adventure you take us on Too
You never fail to deliver amazing content! Thank God for that episode on Tara because have I not been a fan of gone with the wind I don't think that episode of your channel would have been in my feed and I've been a subscriber ever since! You give out so much detail and backstory thank you so much for all you do seriously! ❤️
Wow! Fabulous. Actually brought tears to my eyes. Such an extra special sunglasses vlog for Kristi. Were any puppets saved from any other Rankin Bass movies?
Watching this one day after posting (on Jan. 1). The date is relevant as I am strongly opposed to the trend in recent years to totally ditch Christmastime at midnight Dec. 26; meant to linger over the 12 days through epiphany/Jan. 6. As recently as my 70s/80s childhood you would still find some Christmas movies and music broadcast awhile after Dec. 25; I aspire to keep this practice and it sure helps anytime I see others concur, so thanks (from a sadly snow-free Cleveland). Maybe watch "Gremlins" tonight
I'm 59 and I still watch the old Christmas Shows. I watched the antique roadshow when these were brought in.. and they were in very bad shape. I'm so glad that they got restored.
You know you are one pair of Classy fella's you & Jah, Jordan , Thanks for the years of absolutely amazing vlogs! luv&peace Cheers my friend . Have a great holiday season. ✌🤝❤🍻
Jordan i love this video it was amazing and fraggle rock was favorite show to watch, all the puppets were awesome to see and i can not wait unit to see what you have in store for the new year, keep the videos coming!
Cool, I didn't know Santa and Rudolph were here in Atlanta. Looks like that place has expanded since I took my kids 20 years ago. Need to go back for a visit.
Really great vlog I can not believe that they are the only to puppets from Rudolph the red noise rain deer my mom and would watch that every year and I still watch now even though my mom has passed away
So many movie props and animation cells were routinely discarded after production was completed. I’ve read stories about trash bins behind Warner Brothers being full of animation cells. Today animation is done with computer and cells are a thing of the past. Original animation cells are found in art museums and are quite expensive. This was a great blog. Happy new year and looking forward to another year of great vlogs
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I used to wait all year long for the night Rudolph was on. If you missed it, that was it until next year! I enjoyed this so much. 😊
dude this vid was def dear to me, total childhood memories! great one. I saw the story about the last guy that had em in Staten Island,NY AND SOLD THEM AT THAT AUCTION..SUCH A A STORY!
Years ago I bought the set of most of the characters from Toys R Us. I still have it and set it up every year. I am saving it for my daughter who is in her 20's. It's a great plastic set with incredible detail. I also have the DVD movie and keep it all together. She will enjoy it some day.

Years ago I bought the set of most of the characters from Toys R Us. I still have it and set it up every year. I am saving it for my daughter who is in her 20's. It's a great plastic set with incredible detail. I also have the DVD movie and keep it all together. She will enjoy it some day.
