Even as I listen to his voice giving out instructions, my mind goes back to the 5 hindrances of Self- Mastery. What a wonderful human being he is teaching us to be better persons with the martial arts.

Boa noite mestre Shi. No passado, fui desportista.

I have utter respect for the way you conduct yourself and the way that you educate people, not just through words, but you use sight as an example because it speaks louder than the words do when explained. It's also a delight to see the ways you show, in what could be real-life situations, why the movements in the form are in the order they are. It gives you a real insight and better knowledge to know why you're doing the movements in the form, to perform them then with the intent they are meant.
I would enjoy being up there and learning such an amazing life style. ✨️🙏✨️✌️💚Thank you for sharing 🙏

The interesting thing is when doing just the breathing - opening is inhale (filling up the lungs), and closing is exhale - pushing out the air often forcefully when doing a dynamic movement.
But when doing the movements you inhale when you are closing the position, this is gathering the chi getting ready to strike. Then when you make a movement like a kick or strike which is an opening movement, you also exhale which is closing in terms of breathing, so that the energy projects out through your leg.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but this is how I see it...
Movement that is closing the body you actually Inhale which is opening the lungs and taking in energy
Movement that is Opening, like a kick or strike, you exhale sending the energy out which is closing in terms of the breathing!
    Thank you! 🙏
