It’s been nearly 3 years and my brand new Cricut Maker is still sitting in my closet. I received it as a birthday gift from my Son in 2017. I literally peaked inside the box and panicked... So, l closed up the box and it’s been sitting on my closet floor ever since. I’ll be 60 next month and not technically savvy in the least. (Seriously, I feel like the world’s biggest nitwit, when it comes to technology.) First, l watched your video... Then l had a cup of tea and decided to pulled my Cricut Maker out from its hiding place. I’m watching your video a second time... Pausing it occasionally and l finally have it up and running!

Mine too! My husband got it for me for Christmas 4 years ago. When I opened it & didn’t even take it out of the box, that’s how intimidating it was. I just opened it a few months ago & after setting it up wasn’t sure about the membership so back into the craft room it went. I’m so happy I found this channel.

I’ve had my Maker since before springtime. It’s out of the box and hooked up, but that’s all. 🥺 Best wishes on your Cricket journey. I’d be so happy if I could just cut a Bible verse from some white vinyl and arrange it nicely on a wine bottle (actually, a Welches’s white grape juice bottle, clear green in color). I have the vinyl and the fairy lights with the batteries in the cork to go inside. I think if I get that one project completed, I may be able to forge ahead. See, this is what I planned on/still planning on giving to a dear friend as a Christmas gift! Wish me well and send help. 🆘 Thank you. 🙂

I absolutely loved your video! I agree with others that it went a little fast at times but TH-cam gives us the ability to slow the video down to half speed and we can always pause/rewatch so I don’t mind. I am so excited to try out my machine now and I feel much more confident. Thank you!!

Thank you, I'm ashamed to say, ive had my Cricut Maker macine since it surfaced, along with far too much tag along product to mention. Finally tonight, I've stumbled onto your site showing a step by step how to use. Im a Senior, and bought it to use to have something to do. And i have never used it. It sets pretty on my crafting desk collecting dust. I was intimidated and not aware how to begin to use it. Im mid way through reading Chole Ross Cricut 11 books in 1- 2023 edition book., a third way thru. Still not using my maker. WELL, after watching your tutorial, i finanlly feel i can start to use my Cricut Maker. Hell, theyve now came out with Maker 3. Thank you SO MUCH!!!! I felt intimidated by the machine. I bought it in September of 2020. Here it is July 03, 2021, and it’s still perfectly in the box, and never been opened. I think I shall go open it and set it up now. 💗 Your tutorial was easy to follow and now I don’t feel so intimidated.

I set it up with my iPhone and that did not work out and I tried to use my laptop and I got confused so I’ve been scared to touch the machine until I saw your video. I'm glad to know mine isnt the only one that is super loud. I was worried because the ups guy left the package upside down even though the box clearly said 'this side up' on it. But hearing yours work I realized the maker is just that loud!

I bought one of these Thursday from Hobbycraft when we were on holiday, opened it yesterday when we got home, full of excitement. Frustrated to find that the swatch of material was missing, just the white and blue card, not a big thing but still frustrating that I couldn’t get started. I hope the rest of my crafting journey with the cricut goes better than my first stumble. Great video, you’re going to be my go to for learning. 😊

I watched your “tutorial” for beginners getting acquainted with their Cricut Maker. Yes, it is helpful to varying degrees. I also read all the comments. It is unfortunate that you are content to appreciate the positive feedback while discounting the constructive feedback of others, who suggest things like slowing down, showing more detail (such as changing a part on the machine). I believe you make these videos to be helpful. There’s no question it takes time and effort to undertake this effort, and you are to be commended!!! The only thing I would suggest is that you try to embrace all feedback and recommendations so that more people can benefit and you can unleash the tutorial rock star within. Best.
Hey! I do reply to all comments and feedback and take everything constructive on board. I have a few Cricut video which gain a fair amount of comments and whilst I’d love to give every single video comment a large reply I can’t always do that but I do read them and take them all on board. After all this is my channel and one I work very hard at to create free content for people to help. I’m not a professional videographer and I’ve learned all the skills on my own using the Cricut etc. I’m so so glad and so happy my videos are reaching a wide range of people and for that I feel very proud. Please don’t think for a minute that I don’t take on criticism and apply it because in my most recent Cricut videos I’ve really slowed down the steps because of this.

Hi Paige, thanks for the tutorial on the maker - first time using it and I found it a bit fast to follow lol so lots of re runs if you are doing anymore projects can you do one for the design space explaining the functionality as it’s a bit overwhelming trying to remember everything at once. Thanks

Design Space only had 2 machines on the drop down menu and those are the maker and explore. Didn't see joy.

Hi Paige. It would really be helpful if you could show us how to select the images and group them and slice them. Do you have another tutorial for that? Also when you pick other images how do you edit them. It was just a little too fast.

Hey Ruby, I don’t have a specific video for slicing images but will plan that in for my next video. If you need to slow down the video you can do so in settings x
Just purchased the Maker 3 It doesn't come with the mats or pen. Just comes with a fine point blade, a piece of iron on, trasfer tape and vinyl Maybe cricut has cut back. For the price I would have thought it may have come with a bit more
i followed this tutorial but found that the images that you scrolled through for the ribbon all have a charge on them where as yours does not
I just bought the Cricut Maker but mine didn't come with the mats. The box said they were supposed to be included. I'll have to call the company and see if they will send some. Has anyone else have that problem?
