Thanks that you reacted to the song, I'm from Danmark and there just been added a new Copyright law that dont let you watch any new songs on TH-cam, so I'm not able to see any new videos from any bands.
I noticed that a lot of our videos are blocked in Denmark. Not all but at least 40% of them. What happened ? Can you elaborate?

At times its pretty amusing to see comments sections all over YT. In this case,it seems like the thing to do is calling Amaranthe pop,and that Elize cant sing high notes etc etc. She doesnt have the power of Floor,neither does she has the most versatile vocals. But i have heard her just belt it out,and its quite impressive and beautiful to listen to. So she has high notes,just not that extreme as many as her fellow band-sisters out there has. Amaranthe has never been pop,they are even too hard to be rock. If anything,i would call them "Electronic Metal" because of theyr high usage of synths/keyboards. I even remember people that claims that Def Leppard is Metal. That i really never saw,as they are a rock n roll band,wich in likeness to Aerosmith turned "power ballad love songs" real quick,over the years. But hey,i have even heard Metallica down to a blues,country inspired performance on a few of theyr songs,but that doesnt make them "less Metal". Anyway,in general there is clearly too heavy drops,instrumentals etc,for Amaranthe to be anywhere near pop. Dont get me wrong,i can see why some feels like they are coming off as "Pop-ish". Elizes poses and outfits in videos,are defintly more of the "hitlist" stuff you see theese days. But for me its no written rule that you got to look like a demon,and sing like a Valkyrie to be able to call yourself a Metal band. And yes,i can see why some feels it gets softer without Henriks`s growling rap,but so far it seems like this type of song is of the rare kind,as they are allways a 3-piece vocal "team" taking turns. Just got to think of something i thought a long time ago. Elize Ryd for me is a Scandinavian version of Sharon van den Adel from Within Temptation. Sings absolutely gorgeous,but doesnt have a powerhouse voice like Floor Jansen or Anneke van Giersbergen has. Within Temptation has for a long time gotten alot of stick for what they sound like theese days,compared to in the "good old days". I call it a natural process within any band,they grow older,they want to experiment abit with genres,be creative as musicians. All that aside.....this song is still so new to me,i do struggle with having it catch on to me 100% like Viral did. Im not saying this is a bad song,or even a mediocre song. All im saying is....i think it has a grower potential on me,because thats what i felt when watching this reaction. (Second time hearing the song) I did not know about Noora from before,so i actually expected another growling artist,not gonna lie. I basically didnt know what to expect a 100%,so i got myself abit of a shock first time listening. It was actually a relief not having any growling vocals coming in. It wouldnt have suited this song i think. I liked it! 😏(Im not picking on Henriks growling,i do like the songs where he comes in too,but as not the biggest fanboy of growling,i felt a relief by having only clean vocals)
I feel sorry for them for always getting so much shit tossed at them. Metal communities seem to be all about being more and more metal and how "true" they are. If someone dresses wrong or hangs out with an EDM crowd or whatever it is, they're betraying the TRUE metal community. It's gatekeeping and fucking moronic.
It's one of the reason I've never felt at home in metal communities. I just listen to all kinds of metal as well as electronic stuff. Always have, always will.
@@esaedvik I feel the exact same way. And just to clarify,i meant Henrik but somehow i wrote Andreas. Something tells me i misplaced Andy with Henrik,describing theyr growler lol.....oh well,i had that edited now. And i still like Def Leppard,Aerosmith eventhough they have turned "soft". As for Amaranthe goes,i love how they made this "metal sound but with plenty of rythmn". Lets not forget the amount of shit that Linkin Park got when they first came out with songs. Theese days? They are described as legends compared to back then,for making a groundbrekaing sound within Metal,combining it with HipHop,RnB etc. Im very much like you,i can listen to everything from Shania Twain,Dua Lipa to certain songs of Sepultura. I used to consider myself a "metalhead",but nowadays i dont really care,as long as i like the music and the lyrics. :) Because like you said,there is alot of nonsence within metal communities. Whatever happened to embrace what is slightly different? You dont have to like it,but at least respect it and keep from trashing it..... I like how Amaranthe allready have inspired other bands coming up theese days. VOLTURIAN is a good example there,and theyr song Broken is absolutely beautiful!

Haven't seen you guys react to, or review much death metal. Maybe ain't your cup of tea.

All of you saying Elize can't sing high notes, shows that NONE of you know what you're talking about nor listened to anything she's done. You're wanting to be accepted without the knowledge of what you're talking about. The Twins with Tony Kakko is Elize doing mainly high notes. Why even bother typing if you don't know wth you're typing about?? Find better ways to get attention.
She's still a soprano, just not an opera singer. I really don't know what they want from her, just whistle notes?

Just a small correction this is actually the 3rd single first was DO OR DIE second was VIRAL and STRONG makes number three. Though I do agree with you VIRAL definitely had a pop sound this is a little heavier as far as instruments

I think the issue is the chorus. The verses make a nice buildup, but somehow, the chorus isn't *strong* enough.
I'm almost beginning to skip the new videos with a feat singer from another famous band.. ..those are too many and it's starting to smell like business comes first imo.
Though Noora is a great singer, BB a great band, Amaranth is also 👌
Neither band is really "famous" in any way other than in their home countries basically. Even that is a bit of a stretch since outside of metal circles, I doubt many know either band or their members. I'm from Finland and been a metalhead for ages and know literally nothing about Battle Beast, but the name of their vocalist. (tbh that's just cause we have too many metal bands and too little time lol)

Atlease this song is more METAL. if you want high notes, Elize can't do it. She's not Floor, Simone or Tarja. Amaranthe is always Generic, fun and that's it.
