I loved the show with Gil Grissom's character & may be the odd ball out by saying it only took a couple of episodes to get use to Ted Danson being on the show, I enjoyed his character as well. It remained my favorite show to the end.
Stephen Patrick; yeah, for sure like when he calculated the asmuth between two peaks in the background of one side of a lake wherein he sighted the asmuth line drawn to the exact location of the cabin where bodies were buried in the place known as 'black mesa'. The episode is named after the creep who was coaching others to do his criminal bidding at the cabin and the entire CSI went to the location and saved one young college girl from being killed. Best episode with all the dead bodies exposed under the flooring of the cabin.
To me, the most tragic moment was when Warwick Brown was shot. I still watched the series, however, It was never the same without Warwick. Grissom leaving the show was the nail on the cocffin for me. It was never the same without him. :-(
I love csi and when Peterson left I cried because he made the show whole! The other actor that took his place were amazing but not as good as Peterson also nick aka George is my fav FOREVER
Loved all the cast members in their roles. The show never was a let down when it made cast changes. Best drama on TV at the time even if it took reality a bit too far. It was just fun to watch. Even now it's my favorite show to binge watch.

They should have bought Warwick back from the dead and left Grissom on the show. The original cast had the best chemistry. I wasn’t into the other cast on CSI

Things are never the same when original cast members leave the show. I have watched all 3 CSI franchises loved them all. Only had a couple of dislikes for some characters. Thank goodness for reruns they'll be forever in my world:-)

The show was still good after Billy left, but it wasn't great. Some of the storylines were pretty contrived and sometimes dumb though I am still a fan of the series, in fact, all 3 series. I was, however, disappointed that he left, you just don't leave a show that is that great.
I thought Ted Danson breathed new life into CSI...after Peterson left I quit watching the show but started again after Danson started and fell in love with the show again. Never could see the Gil and Sarah connection...didn't feel genuine. Sorry it went off the air.
After so many years of enjoying the series, was very disappointed with Petersen leaving. It was like an unexpected divorce. The replacements were good but you can't replace a family member.

Nobody can replace Grissom. It was never the same. Glad its coming back. WITH GRISSOM. Prefer all of them except Katherine. For some reason I never took to her. I dont think she like authority. Always breaking the rules and not been called on it. Not fair to the rest of them. Also at the beginning I didnt like Sara. But one of my favorites at the end. So I will be checking out the new CSI Vegas. Hope its as good as its original .

When William Peterson left CSI it was never the same. Peterson played the main character Grisham so good. He was CSI.
George and his ex-wife are friends. He took her and their daughter to the Bahamas. There is no animosity there, which is good for their daughter.
There will never be another actor in the same league as William, full stop. He was the greatest actor that has ever lived IMO
