Nice video mr ed
When I was a kid (early 90's) I was with my cousin and his mom and we were driving by the Ferrari dealership in Dallas. We would always beg to stop and look at the Ferarri's everytime we would pass by but were always told no. This time my aunt agreed to stop but she stayed in the car and my cousin and I went inside to look at the cars. The salesmen were extremely friendly, they let my cousin sit in a Testarossa, which was his dream car. They called the mechanic to the front to talk to us and he took us to the garage and told us all about the cars there being serviced. He told me to hop into the driver seat of one of the cars and he got in on the passenger side, I believe it was a model 365, I remember it had tons of switches and gauges on the center console which went from between the seats up to the dash. The mechanic preceeded to tell me every detail of the car, then he says "this car belongs to Peter Weller". I ask who that is and he says "that's Robocop man!". Looking back now, it is surprising how nice they were to a couple of kids around some expensive cars. It's one of my fondest childhood memories.
Crazy how ppl knew you where genuinely intrested and wanted to just know about ur dream car todays kids would not treat them with the same respect in sure your friend and your self did great story
I had a similar story from dealer in Florida. The salesman took me around the show room and let me sit in a Gallardo, R8, and GTR! Even started the Gallardo and R8!
All these were great but Ficarra telling these well researched historically significant stories are some of my all time favorite vinwiki stories.
Cassey describes the jet LITERALLY the same as Adam Savage. The intuitiveness of it, the speed, the work it takes to move it. Its awesome!
I love how they teach the ejection procedures to anyone who flies, yet there’s over a 90% chance an untrained person would be immediately killed if they ejected at supersonic speeds, considering it’s extremely dangerous for highly trained pilots to eject from an aircraft.
John Ficarra's 1965 LeMans story has to be one of my all time favorite things to listen to
I wish they would make “Stories with Ficarra” a part of Top Gear or some other mainstream show to expose the world to the gem we love and enjoy (of course, only if he wears the same classy garb and such...we’ll call it his “Ficarrambiance” or something ridiculously cheesy like that; I mean, who DOESN’T love Bingo??)
This can be red.
Yes... He has a great enthusiasm for the story.
the bit at the end where he describes the car starting up is just awesome
@@martygordon6000 John needs a TH-cam channel and a podcast, if he doesn't already. John has a lot of stories not found elsewhere. He should put his knowledge on paper and/or preserve it on video, He may not realize it, but what he knows is an invaluable (unobtainium) part of the racing legends.
“You don’t really wanna daily drive a race car” STOP TELLING ME WHAT I WANT ED I know it’s not a good idea but it seems so promising
Be careful, the cup holders might be lacking
@@henrycollins2478 cup holders ? Where we’re going we don’t need cup holders
@@imnotincontrolitsathrowawa3646 ok
"SEEMS promising". I'm going to go out on a limb and presume that you have not driven a race car on the road for any considerable period of time if at all. these guys have. and have also probably learned the hard way that it's not practical and not promising. so it's probably safe to take some advice from other people's experience. this is me getting so serious to your playful response btw.
@@j5jackson878 why I said “seems promising” I drive a camaro . Nothing special but always a work in progress
53:37 I grew up in that neighborhood. That's crazy to see 20+ years later on TH-cam. Small world.
That neighborhood was famous 😂 Deer Run I think, big Kenny and I built the fastest Volks Bug in Orlando at the time in his garage and driveway. We learned that to go fast Fox body Mustangs is the ticket .
“we’re basically hooning around in a fighter jet” I love casey
Bruh i got an adrenaline rush just listening to that story cant imagine what it would really be like
F16 Story was absolutely awesome
Dale Jr. went up in the Thunderbirds. They were constantly pulling 9Gs and he was a natural. It's funny because I was in the Air Force and never seen the Thunderbirds once. Twice seen the Blue Angels. Never the Thunderbirds. Seen the Blues six times in my life.
Its 2:19am
Well looks like ill be up till 4am
these are perfect videos to fall asleep to! it's like lullabies about cars! the problem is when you wake up to go take a piss you wake up to a very interesting part of the story and then you can't go back to sleep...
Ed, coming across your channel has been the best surprise of 2020! I am originally from Atlanta and seeing the people and hearing the stories makes me feel like i'm home again. I love your knowledge and stories and your guests are equally as great, cheers man!

Yes , I truly enjoy VINwiki . I’ve had the privilege of driving 1950s and 1960s vintage Ferraris my father was able to eventually purchase as a dream post WWII . He always let me drive the many he owned . Back then they were used Ferraris but of course today some are worth millions . I’ve driven manual sports cars all my life and loved them . Recently I purchased a 360 to experience the F1 . I can really appreciate what was achieved with that transmission .
Yes, but seeing as how it’s not a gated community would you say it’s a step down?
I have have a manual C5 Corvette for use . Wonderful car . That satisfies my manual transmission needs.
and also helps me appreciate the F1 even more . I’m looking forward to my first DTC car , preferably a Ferrari
Deer run, Red Bug Rd brings back the good ole days Burlow and friends had some good times we probably set a bad example. Step Pop's 911 he built got me home from the 7-11 with Blues chasing me and in the garage on Winter Park Dr. 2 minutes ahead of him when he knocked on the door Pop's told him wrong house and wrong Porsche, R.I.P. Richie A. The Ultimate Motor Works engine builder and my teacher and my Pops.

Anything to pull me from reality for a while
Im convinced Ed could shrewdly negotiate world peace.
YEs!
These compilations are awesome. Great way to rewatch some of the best content on TH-cam!
I listen often to these cool stories I am a poor guy living vicariously through you all. But I literally was at working fighting back tears man @26:00 #Dope. I love seeing diversity in greatest and for him to take the time out to acknowledge it, just threw me for a loop man. I miss the great storytellers of my family, they've all passed on, I gotta few good stories, but these two mountains he speaks of one day I might get to trek. THANK YOU Casey & +VinWiki The #Vicarious +KingAdamLue 😎
I drove that red 360 Modena… I remember renting it from Noah almost 20 years ago … such a cool car
His voice is so soothing that I can fall asleep listening to Ed
meet right in the middle with a warning and handshake :D
360CS is one of my all time. Still remember the video by Vicki Butler on the CS. That was hot!
Hey Ed, daily reminder that you're one of the most lovable people on this website. We love you Ed
The experience in the jet was a once in a life time opportunity that you are lucky to have experienced. Congratulations.
Really enjoy this kind of compilation, i can listen to stories from the past i have never heard. And also listen to some all time greats. Nothing like 2 hours of vinwiki. :))
Wow this brought me memories!
Badass you could hang in an F-16 😎. Most civilians I see go up in a fighter jet get washed out after a few high G maneuvers . Respect 🫡. Big respect for the Thunderbirds and their exceptional talent across the board. Awesome experience. Congratulations.
Casey Putsch's jet fighter story and John Ficarra's Le Mans history lesson were my favorites!
I love listening to these during work
Ed's Itallian is incredible. In fact, he's the only person who correctly pronounces the Ferrari as the 360 "Moden-uh".
Thanks for the insight on a lifestyle ill never beable to afford
Love these 2 hour saturday specials! Thanks Ed
Vinwiki is the Best!!! Thank you Ed!!!!!
I'm surprised I missed this post when it was released. Some great stories in here. Casey Putsch's story about the flight in the Thunderbirds F-16 is amazing. His reflection at the end regarding the diversity and professionalism of the people involved in the unit is bloody great. I'm not American, but god bless the US Military. It's a great institution.
Driving car while listening to this, best experience Ed!
I, too, enjoy driving cats.
@@nicolainielsen7700 I like bmw cats,and you?
@@TheDroidBoy Wait, ninjaedits are iilegal.
Something about ed's voice that makes me sit down and listen intensely :)
3:20 only ED can shout that smoothly about a sponsor. 😂😂. This man knows elegance. 👊🏻
I daily a 79 corvette, nothing race worthy, but I have swapped cams, heads, intake and carb, raised the compression a little and added a decent chunk of power, considering it started at 190ish hp, most likely less, when I pulled the old cam 3 lobes were flat. id say its around 250 now, but idk, dont have a dyno, and dont want to pay someone a stupid amount in my stupid town because its either that or drive 100+ miles to get a decent price, love illinois, truly love it, like a hole in my head, i love it.
Listening to these while I work is such a cool way to kill time.
@Casey OMG Best flying story EVER! I love the enthusiasm that you tell it with. Best I do is some 0 G in my plane. :)
Ed is going to be flipping cars and then you will see in the next title. How I got a manual scud FOR FREE!
Enjoying these Top 10 stories. Maybe you could do a subscriber's choice Top 10 Stories video? Would be a bit of a mission organising that I suppose. Thanks for the content!
Don't understand how John Ficarra's "Why God loves Ferraris" didn't make this compilation. That's a favorite of mine!
Casey's story is outstanding. What a ride!
Good stuff guys!!!! Much Respect 4 the stories.
Mister Putsch is so entertaining. Quite a storyteller indeed.
I am enjoying these compilations
🤔
R.I.P. headphones users for the story that starts @ 26:41 , every time he says an "ss" sound it makes a really high pitched loud hissing
John Ficarra is an amazing story teller.
First Ferrari I drove 308 GTB 77 model the second was the F40
I drove a Pontiac fiero 1986
Keep em coming Ed
Great , thanks Ed.
Ed got that talking voice, mans blessed
Okay Casey, I have to admit I had forgotten about that vid...but DAMN that looks fun (although I’d be terrified I would puke and embarrass the f*** out of myself). Just a hunch, but probably the only thing that saved you from losing your guts is your aviation experience and that you were keyed in to not only what the pilot was doing but your extensive knowledge of the aerobatics of dogfighting. I wonder: after that experience, have you been web-searching the s*** out of single-prop aerobatic setups? Dangit, you reminded me how much I still want to get my pilot’s license! You’re what I call a cool s*** enabler...no, you’re not getting people hooked on drugs; just fast cars, fast bikes and now another habit guaranteed to melt my wallet...airplanes. 🖖😎👍
P.S.: I, too wanted to and should have flown; two of my great uncles flew bombers while my paternal grandfather was a B-17 navigator in WWII. One flew Liberators and the other I’m still looking for details although I’ve seen photos of him in his USAAC dress uniform.
3:20 beautiful shot
Throw the Fire Extinguisher in the Trees [Noah] !!! 🤣🤣🤣 +43:08
Awesome inspiring story everyone should listen to.
The Ferrari FighterJet stories closing is pure USA 🇺🇸
Your advertisement at the end is muted. Just thought I would let ya know
HYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:25 - Fun little bit of trivia: The B-29 in the background is *_"Bockscar"_* (pronounced "Box Car"). It's the plane that was piloted by Major Charles Sweeney on August 9th, 1945 when it dropped the Fat Man nuclear bomb on Nagasaki.
Very likable guy. Great story
The fighter jet story. My goodness... 🙌
I would have loved to hear that ferrari almost topped out passing that cop
I loved Ed’s story. I’ve recently seen that the EAG manual transmission scud. This project has been in the works for two years and it is still not finished. Traction control/stability control are still not sorted out. I believe that this car recently sold for less than $200,000. Ed, being the gentleman that he is, neglected to mention that it has a salvage title. Rebuilt title to be exact. Interesting project for sure but a true development car with all its trials, tribulations and problems.
I had a dream that yall didn't upload in time. Good thing it wasn't true.
My real dream car is an M4 GTS but these do make me really want a Ferrari!
Get a Ferarri
Love them great while working to listen to
The ad at the end doesn't have any audio.
I got an idea: 10 years from this video/videos of the top 10s you could make a pt 2 in 2030 of top 10 blank from the last 10 years pt 2. 💰
Just an FYI, the ad-read at the end of the video is without audio
I used 2 workin Manhattan and during rush hour it word take an hour and twenty minutes to go from mid town to wall at and at 4 in the morning if you time it right all the traffic lights In sync will be green and only takes about 5 minutes so 145 mph is do able
Your stories are making me want to run the cannonball rally in the next few years.
Is there any way to get into the cannonball community to prepare for it?
Keep it up! Love these stories
Hehehe :P 2 mins into the video and you've seen it all.
It’s a recap episode I’ve seen them all 😊 just nice having them grouped together
I know bro. Just kidding 👍🏻 you no need to explain
VIN Wiki proves that these guys make millions off the same car's reselling time and time again.
Oh, good morning and thank you!
Last time I was this early, Casey hadn't earned his motorcycle number!
Casey deserves the world.
I guess Ed you'll have to make a top 10 Lamborghini or porsche video now
Is it the end of the year already... bit early for compilation vids.
No Audio On Policygenius ad at end.
Rory is a name that’s all it is. Their cars are beautiful but they’re very unreliable.
If it was up to me and I had a Ferrari the first thing I would do it restarted the Koski exuberant know if the money is LS swap it
There is a McLaren MP4 at 43:26, not a 360. Who made this terrible mistake :-)?
I'm surprised you didn't include Hoovies Ferrari burning down.
Forgetting about Porker at any cost
Emile mentioned not to speed because if someone dies you could get in trouble 😂 the fact you could kill someone isn’t what’s most important the fact you could get caught by someone writing your plate down is. Thanks for the lesson.
Another 10 top Ed bolian video- cool (FYI this video is like 60% ed bolian)
If i ever got famous a ride in a fighter jet is number 1 on the list. Nothing even close
im coming after the cc record its 2023 ill be ready by 2025 im also broke as fuck and doing this off hopes and dreams
Stop trying to convince us Vincero watches are quality. You're better than that, Ed.
This isn't long enough for me 😡 but gratefully to get this. This will do for now thank you 🎟🎰🎨🖼
Hey I need a car picked up in Arkansas and brought to florida Who would you use?
When he said he let up then right back down I related iv was going 100 and cop was at full stop n I was shot with laser. I figured why not dip
Casey you're awesome
Can you count the last few episodes of CarTrek in, too?
Keep these videos going
Regal. Thats what ive picked up from everyone who's flown with a Thunderbird pilot.
If what happened to casey with the fighter jet happened to me I would be able to die happily.
I feel like there can not be anything more thrilling than not just flying in a jet but actually maneuvering it yourself.
Yeah. Too bad Casey has never learned the slightest thing about humility.
@@chuckschillingvideos why do you think so? From what I've seen it seems that he has.
@@knflux9840 Could have fooled me. Each and every video I've seen him in is nothing more than an exercise in how oh so very smart and wonderful he is.
