What broke me was Cassian saying how he knew Nesta hates herself but not so much that she wanted to stop existing... Just shows how much she kept in that even her mate didn't know
The female friendships in this book were absolutely fantastic and one of my absolute favorite aspects from the book. Also, I compared it to the hunger games as well and I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that!
I also liked the ending for her. It felt less like a perfect happy ending and more like the happy start of a new life where Nesta can move forward in a healthy way.
This book hit so hard home I can’t even begin to explain it , like her whole journey was so beautiful and well praised and the female trio made me so happy to see them finally thrived, I cried a lot too, A LOT , I would reduce the smut honestly, but the moments of real talk really made me reflect. Incredible book
I don’t think he said anything. I think it was like an eye to eye communication thing because Nesta saved Feyre and their child so I think nesta pulled Rhys in for a hug or something
I have so many thoughts on this book. In general, I really liked it. I love Nesta, I think she’s one of my favourite female protagonists. About the next book... I really would like to see Elain with Lucien (they’re mates after all), but most importantly I really would like to see Azriel and Gwyn ending up together. They already have a story, as (SPOILER!) Azriel rescued her and brought her to the library, and while reading their scenes, I felt like there could be something more.
I wasn’t very upset about the present, because he did it anonymously, and I would rather have Gwyn have it, then to return it back to the shop. Also, if the next book is about him, I’m sure we’ll get a proper explanation about his actions 🙂
This book was really a emotional rollercoaster, when I first read it I was going from loving it, to being so disappointed, to loving it. It definitely doesn’t feel apart of the acotar series but idm because this book was good just in a different way.
Also the threesome wouldn’t make sense cuz in the bonus chapter for Azriel tells us that he has a romance with Elain during ACOSF so that would be a little weird if he was also sleeping with her sister.
I didn't actually cry when (if you read it you know what happens it's the last scene with the whole inner circle) but I did only when Nesta shares her traumatic cauldron memories with her friends and they all share their own stories like FRIEND GOALS!! Honestly the saddest part but so sweet!
I love this book so much but I felt like (trying to figure out the best way to phrase my emotions)....disconnected with Nessian maybe it’s just my inner fan feysand coming out but I could not stop comparing them and it felt ughh but I did like the book other than like the very obvious plot holes or lack of emphasis on the plot but loved this video 😁🥰 Ps: I’m rooting for Gwynn Azriel
SPOILER ALERT: The valkyries made me so happy-- I can't wait until they translate it onto film. AND NESTA DANCINGGGG CHILEEE. I NEED to see it on tv. Also, Cassian just existing set my heart of fireee because he's so fine. I do agree that the plot with Brialynn and Koschei seemed pretty under-developed, but I'm hoping that it'll be clarified more when SJM writes her Elain/Lucien book (she better write an Elain/Lucien book). Lastly, I kind of want a redemption arc for Tamlin and Eris 👀 They both come off as assholes but I definitely feel like there is a lot of substance between the surface. I need them to find their mates and live happily ever after (or find their mates and die a tragic romantic death. Whichever works better).
One of my favorite characters other than Nesta is the House. It was fun how they exchanged romance books or war books and how it showed her love with that gentle breeze and how it gave her food and the comfort and how the house shows her it’s dark side. That was one of my favorite things.
I STRONGLY agree. Trigger warnings should have been added to a letter from the author to the reader before the story begins. I had to sit on my thoughts for a solid week so that I could tame my mind long enough to list them down. My experience reading this book was all over the place. I was hyped up and excited to get Nesta's pov. But I'm not going to lie, by the end I was so enraged at how disrespectful this book was towards Nesta and Cassian. Cassian was rendered to the sex crazed Rhysand we got in that godawful novella, and Nesta was stripped from those powers.... and I was just so freaking angry! I'm still angry thinking about it. It's like that one episode in Game Of Thrones when the White Walkers attack Winterfell. Yes, everyone was shocked to see Arya come out of nowhere and slay the Night King, but soon after it was like, but now what? That was such a blow to the gut. I felt there was more sex appeal between Nesta and Cassian, but ACTUAL Chemister between Nesta and Eris!. I wanted to see Nesta actually fall for Eris on that dance floor and she chooses to go to the Autumn court and rule with all those powers beside Eris. I know I love Nestian too, but the way Sarah skipped actual relationship traits and made their relationship almost exclusively sex driven, it just didn't feel like it was a relationship built on love but on only lust. Unfortunately, Rhys was garbage. In my opinion. Cassian was turned into Horny Rhysand from the novella, and I wanted to see Cassian with more dept, and the story wanted to show that, but every time we began to get an Indept moment with Cassian it was followed up by sex or sexual and I just hated that so so so much! And I don't mind the smut, but because there was so much and many times it robbed the story of it's plot. This felt like a very long Erotica. Not a High Fantasy with smut.
Loved this so much your reactions were hilarious! 😂 The Valkyries were literally my favorite part of the book and when you were reading the quote from Gwyn omg Gwyn made me cryyyy in that scene and after omgggggg
Also people saying that she changed Rhys character too much have to realize that we are seeing him from nesta‘s point of view and not from his mates which again like you said can be extremely glorified. 😊
@@HaydenBooks also, I 100% agree with everything you said. I enjoyed it but I'm also disappointed and I can't pinpoint why. It almost felt like I was reading fanfic and SJM just created this new conflict out of nowhere. It was definitely written for the characters and not the plot.
I haven't read this book but THIS 32:29..yooo I swear I do the same thing and even though I have identified it and acknowledged that I do it I CANNOT stop! like wtf I be feeling attacked when certain people ask me some of the simplest questions, like bro calm DOWN lmao
I'm pretty sure it's kind of nodded that Feyre's sweater actually belongs to Rhys. Cute that they share clothes, but ugh, girl, get another sweater, lol!
I agree on the standalone feeling and I think going forward that will continue to be a thing. Also, anyone thinking Azriel and Gwyn are gonna be a thing? Or is that just me??
I have this theory that she is gonna develop Azriel and give him a book and then just straight up murder him. I love Az and I would cry but I really feel like he’s gonna die
The only thing I didn’t like about the book was why Sarah J. Maas had to do an Aelin and Amren on us. Like why do the main protagonist has to do a big sacrifice where they lose their powers?! LIKE WHY CANT THEY STAY AS A BAD BITCH😤😤😤😤
Definitely not plot driven enough for me. I love Nesta’s self love and self discovery arc but so many plot lines that have fantastic potential but just got wrapped up too quickly.
Hi, I was just wondering if you could make a review/rant video about We were liars, and why you don't like this book. I remember reading it back in highschool and bawling my eyes out on a plane, but after watching your bookish tiktok reaction I wonder why you have such a strong opinion. Xoxo from Poland
So one part that I hated was the way Rhysand was acting towards Nesta like ol boy was going way to far punishing her and there was wayyyy too much slut shaming going on. I also liked seeing from Nesta's pov the inner circle, because it really showed how much they were dick riding for Feyre🥴😂. Like Amren was not having ANYTHING to do with my homegirl Nesta. Besides that the girl power was AMAZING in this book and I loved the sleepover scene and then the scene with Cassian and Nesta by the bridge. When he got all sad and said "but you promised me forever" almost had a bitch in tears. 4/5 stars
hi i really loved this video but i’d appreciate if you refrained from using terms like “going psychotic” or anything like that. as someone with psychosis it’s not some trivial thing that you can relate to reading a book :> no hate at all, your content is great!!
I’m so sorry!! thank you for letting me know. normally I’m more aware of using language like that and I think I used it in this situation bc I just started new medication for my mental disorders and it made me feel really off mentally. I didn’t meant to make it seem like it was a trivial thing or related to the book! I’m sorry again!💞
hey everyone! remember to keep the comments spoiler free for those who haven’t read the book yet!!!
What broke me was Cassian saying how he knew Nesta hates herself but not so much that she wanted to stop existing... Just shows how much she kept in that even her mate didn't know
Nesta's breakdown made me cry too! Definitely one of my favourite parts.
it was so good🥺
The female friendships in this book were absolutely fantastic and one of my absolute favorite aspects from the book. Also, I compared it to the hunger games as well and I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that!
yesss!! the female friendships were everything!
I also liked the ending for her. It felt less like a perfect happy ending and more like the happy start of a new life where Nesta can move forward in a healthy way.

agreed!! it was definitely an emotional journey that hit me hard and it was so well done. I loooved the new friendships so much🥰
I think rhysand apologised when he kneeled in front of nesta cause he never kneels for anyone other than feyre
I don’t think he said anything. I think it was like an eye to eye communication thing because Nesta saved Feyre and their child so I think nesta pulled Rhys in for a hug or something
he even has knee tattoos that means he will never kneel before anyone other than his crown
Normies: Crying over the Nesta Breakdown
Me: Crying over the fact that Feyre ain’t got no clothes but this same raggity cream sweater✋😫🤧😭
Been wearing that same raggedy ass sweater since a court of mist and fury😭 like girl you rich af go buy something new.
@@sadelorraine8437 Exactly LMAO

yes, I think about the fact that he rescued her all the time! I think they’d serve!
I agree... But the way Az deserves better the same way Gwyn deserves better why my guy gave her a hand me down present😭

I didn't actually cry when (if you read it you know what happens it's the last scene with the whole inner circle) but I did only when Nesta shares her traumatic cauldron memories with her friends and they all share their own stories like FRIEND GOALS!! Honestly the saddest part but so sweet!
