It's easy to just think 'it's my right of way', but as Ashley Neal says, you can often turn things into a non-event by adapting your driving - this was one of those times.
That extra 2 seconds is always important to these drivers! Wise move by the Ford driver to pull into the petrol station as Natalie would have probably kept beeping their horn to show it's 'all about me and how I'm the perfect driver'

Natalie, the guy was in the wrong lane (possibly by accident), slowed down, indicated and you should have just let him in. Instead you try and close the gap and then sound your horn to get your dashcam clip... well done... not!

That’s right. Sometimes it’s just easier to be kind and make things easier for others. Then in doing so it just makes things work better and safer. The cycle of being patient, kind, careful and clever whilst driving. Sadly lots of people only care about themselves and as you say, their ego.

SI @ 0:00, I understand that the person who emerged and crashed into you made poor observations and the insurance companies will rightly judge them responsible. However, you also have a responsibility to drive defensively. You were driving too fast for that road and the situation. Don't you notice you're going too fast when you hit the humps so hard? Look at the parked vehicles and the narrowness of the road. Look at the driver who just crossed the junction. Your speed should reflect these hazards.
It may just be the way that he swerved, but it looked like he sped up a bit before the point of impact.
Insurance company might actually view this crash as a 50/50.
What is the information on the footage at the bottom that has been blurred out? Was it SI's speed?

Silver dick can't complete because now blocked by emerging car. Car behind silver car can't move because of silver dick. That silver car driver caused all of the problems!

Watch the next video, the speed is to the right of the GPS position. What is blurred out is the number plate, or whatever you've entered. He had the speed display deactivated.

But he left the time, to the second, and GPS position, which lets anyone calculate his speed in a few minutes.

I think one video recently, he had 3 clips where they would be non events if he used the horn before getting to the incident as it should be used but instead he just uses it to reprimand, usually over nothing apart from he needed to slow down so was inconvenienced.

4:39 - How sad are you? Some drivers made a small mistake of which lane to be in, sorted it out safely and efficiently. Yet you needed to show the whole world some drivers got a wrong lane, in a place where most people don't visit often. It's a non issue yet you sit there laughing smugly... even though they didn't do anything to you. Get a life.

The signage at Gatwick is (1) confusing, (2) there's too much of it. Look how many signs a driver can see, each fighting for their attention, just in the short clip we see. I wouldn't blame anybody for mucking it up, and as long as they are cautious about it they have every right to try and get themselves sorted out - especially as if you're unlucky about the lane you pick you'll get charged a £6 drop off fee just for going down the wrong lane to come back and have another go.

why have dashcam compilations gone from submitting genuinely dangerous/threatening driving to cammers sitting on their high horses laying it on the horn at someone who made poor judgements that every driver has made that ultimately cost you 3 seconds and not your life. more clips of cammers speeding up towards hazards than there is of actual lunatics cutting across 3 lanes within inches of other vehicles

Same at 7.20. The Nissan didn't block the merge at all. The cammer tried to get in front, which puts them in the wrong and had there been contact it would have been their fault!

Seems a lot of people in these comments have never lived on a council estate.
The kids using the emergency exit on busses, or riding around causing havoc on bikes and yelling abuse, is common in poor areas.
If you've ever experienced them, you'd understand Keiran contemplating turning around to give chase. Their parents don't give a shit and often encourage their shitty behaviour. The occassional bollocking from a stranger is the only discipline many of them will ever face, and it might be the thing that stops them progressing to dealing drugs and knifing /mugging people.

Much-needed, as the driver used their rear view mirrors precisely zero times in the whole clip. Oblivious anyone was behind them til then.
They’ve been in Mercedes’s for like Atleast 8-9 years. I’ve seen many like that.
I've seen some in Merc and VW recently.
Apparenty the implementation isn't quite so good. Lots of complaints about the noise it makes continually "hunting" as it tries to calibrate. Perhaps it's too cleaver.
If your car doesn't have one (reverse camera), you can get a third-party camera/kit for fairly cheap (like reversing sensors).
I drove a shitting Peugeot for a bit, and it was very nice for parallel parking.
Definitely a good feature, but I've noticed people end up relying on them alone, which leads to some pretty bad driving.
Maybe they'd otherwise just be staring out the rear window anyway 🤷
The camera relying on the moving logo mechanism seems like a bad idea as it's adding complexity, but it does give the driver behind a warning!
I wish I was as brave as some of these dashcammers posting publicly how awful their driving is 🤣
I'll be visit the UK next year, I do hope the driving's improved by them.

Kieran, 8:45 I'm always amazed at how every time I'm on this roundabout at least 3 people are in the wrong lane and just cut across like this. Usually they're in the Warrington lane and cut across into the middle

So many motorists see driving as a competition.
The thing about the first clip is that, even though I'm not a great driver and certainly not incredible at anticipation, I am quite certain I would not have got into the crash SI got into. I would've just felt vaguely, nonspecifically nervous about the fact that the blue people carrier was reducing my visibility and making the situation more complicated, and slowed down, and that would've saved me - even though when I watched the clip, I didn't even consider the possibility of another car emerging there until it was already too late. (I'd also have been specifically worried about the people carrier reversing back into my path - it looked to me kinda like it might be doing a U-turn!)

They were _both_ guilty of trying to get their own way at the expense of the other, and both created an unsafe situation that only existed because they _both_ took that attitude.

I got to give to some of the people who have the courage to upload themselves being the main idiot. Most of the situations are ego sucking situation, both Thomas and Natalie proved this perfectly. JediAvenger's with his overreacting horn to people crossing the road. Never fails to disappoint.
Unpopular opinion - in Gemma's clip, I don't think the old lady's intentions were clear at all. She was walking "forward" if you like with traffic, she could have been going to her car and decided to walk in a stupid place to do it (wouldn't be the first time an elderly person has made a less than smart decision regarding cars/the road). The car behind may have not even see her through your car and overtook because you've randomly come to a stop in the middle of the road. He may have thought you were being a tit looking for a parking space or something. Her crossing in a stupid way isn't either of the cars fault but as the cammer, I'd have immediately overtaken her because that was not an obvious deduction to make that she was crossing the road if she's just walking along not even looking for a space in traffic to cross
