    There's something so comforting about the background music used in this show. Instantly takes you back to late morning in the 70's/80's

    I saw this on Pluto TV. Right after commercial, Bob acknowledged that the $250 with the second chance was added to $10,000, making her the second highest winner behind Trevor's $10,500 in the Barker era. I think that was in 2003.

    There was also an unusual Punch-a-Bunch win, in Season 31 of 2003, where contestant Trevor Roe, actually does the same thing, but won more than just $10,250- $10,500, though Bob admits that that was the first time in history that it has ever happened (where a contestant won more than $10,000), though he doesn't mention that this particular playing was the first.

    • @MystikWizard
      @MystikWizard ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's because if you listen to Bob's wording, he said "if you wish, you can give back the $250 and take the Second Chance" instead. It seemed as though with the rules at this time, it wasn't intended to be $250 PLUS the second chance, but rather take the $250 OR give it back and go with the Second Chance instead.

  • @howardsternssmicrophone9332

    I saw one where this old dude with a cowboy hat won all 4 punches, and the first punch Bob pulled out the card, and it was like $100, the dude kept that, and turned down the other 3. Well, the second hole was the $10,000 card. It was total cringe that the dude passed that up for $100.
