Why do we keep normalizing crappy products and construction? These greedy companies will continue to put out crappy products if we as consumers don’t start doing something about it. There are rigs that have been on the road 30 years and still going. That quality should be standard. Not everyone just accepting that a $100,000 product will fall apart doing what it’s meant to do. Other countries actually have quality construction and we should be pushing for that as a minimum standard.
I've done my part. We wanted an alliance 5th wheel toy hauler for years. Was told they are amongst the best quality in the industry. My wife and I were unimpressed, even had $30k off the already low price and walked. We're waiting until it's made right and with lower interest rates.
Hey Myles, the NPS generators have a few things that put them above the Cummins generators. 1. They have a pull start emergency back up. 2. They are quite a bit more fuel efficient (approximately 25%) 3. They have a wireless key fob to start the generator remotely 4. The NPS doesn’t run at as high of an idle with no load on it compared to the Onan. Hope that helps.
@@mylesrv you’re welcome. We had a trailer with one of these in it down in Palo Duro Canyon last summer for the 24 hours in the canyon Mountain bike ride and we had both ACs and most other appliances going for at least 18 hours straight and the generator only used a little under 1/3 of a tank fuel out of a 30 gallon fuel station. I was very surprised by the fuel usage of these.
Used to go hard af on this 395ms. That is until I seen a short clip on the upcoming Brinkley 3950. It’s almost a slap in the face that these manufacturers brand these as “luxury toy haulers”. As a custom woodworker/home designer, I can confirm, if you ever see one single piece of 1”x 1/4” trim, mounted with narrow crown staples, it’s far below luxury. When I first seen the Brinkley(video) I thought oh more of the same just dressed up with cleaner finishes. But after seeing in person, they did it right. Truly traditional, stick built home quality. Don’t let the msrp scare you. You can get into the Brinkley for an about 20k more vs this exact momentum. More than worth it.
I agree with what you’re saying. Anything compared to Brinkley isn’t quite going to measure up until you get into similarly priced RVs. These Momentum’s are still quite a bit less expensive than a Brinkley.
I wonder when they will finally do something different with the “Toy Hauler” area. All that room that could be an office, second bedroom, living area… something. I think most people like the idea of having it a multipurpose room like an office, or bedroom. Maybe counter space or desks instead of the chairs. I feel like I’m complaining, without giving solutions, but I think creative people will come up with something cooler than what has been done so far. Nice rig though.
Exactly.. I don’t know any actually using it for a toy. It’s always used as a extra bedroom or office. I wish they would atleast give buyers the option when buying from the factory to skip on the garage flooring and tie downs and continue the flooring that is throughout the living space of the RV.
LOVE our 2023 395ms. Looks like some nice features added however like our propane ' frig over the '24 electric and like the added bedroom space our queen size bed offers. Oh and the chandelier's over the sink.....love them also and glad the '23's have them.
The light fixtures in the kitchen are cool, but I always think about how difficult lights will be to dust. That doesn’t look like a quick job. Hahahaha I like the living room with the corner couch.
Why don't u tour the inside first then do the nuts and bolts. If I don't like the layout i'm not interested in the under carriage. I personally ff the first 15 to 20 mins of all your videos. There are others that video RV out there that do. You could get more followers if you switch the way u video. Just a thought. Happy Holidays
I like this floor plan and the colors scheme is very beautiful. I hope Grand Designs worked out the frame bowing, a few people have posted that there frame in bowing one TH-camr said that GD will not fix there rig, hmmm, so are they standing behind their products.
No, they have not fixed it. They tell everyone a different reason for the same devastating frame flex. They are doing everything to avoid taking responsibility. They told one person having water in their tank caused it………… WTF is the fresh water holding tank for if you can’t use it for its intended purpose. They told someone else it was their sumo springs, but GD partners with TH-camrs that have and are sponsored by sumo springs as well. I would save your money and buy something else.
@@mommasonthemove9144 And you know it wouldn't be bad if they would stand up and fix their product, we all know that these RVs are moving earthquakes rolling down the road they need to stop lying to the customers and fix it. If they continue going down this road their little stocks are going to fall and their reputation. I have no plan on buying their Toyhauler because I don't want to go down that road but anyway I hope those who are having problems that their toyhauler will get taken care of, I heard that one TH-cam has been denied their warranty, and shame on them.
@hellephant4268 Oh, I know. They make their death traps on wheels look pretty, so you forgot to look for safety features and flex fram issues. Lipstick on a pig, right? Let's be real, though: MOST American made RVs are absolutely trash. Greed is more important than safety or a reliable product. People keep just accepting that a $150,000 product should fall apart day one. Bullshit!!!! How do we still have 60 year old rigs still on the road going strong? It's all about product quality suffering for American greed. I'm not accepting that a brand new rig is "supposed" to fall apart due to a "rolling earthquake." It's supposed to be made for moving. Stop with the crappy excuses!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 2023. You mean to tell me with all our technology, things can't be designed to last? Bull-Effing-Sh!t!!!!!!!!! That's cool, though, because I'm trying to get lawyers to get in on a giant suit. There are enough people that I'm hoping I can orchestrate a class action against the rv industry to try and help families that have been screwed. I have a kid in law school who's helping me figure out everything that needs to happen, but I will do it. There will be change!!!! I'm an avid RVer. I absolutely love this lifestyle, but I hate predators, and the RV big wigs are just that. They take people's dreams and knowingly sell cheap them junk. Now, the housing crisis has people desperately buying this crap that will fall apart and never see warranty work. Warranties...... another joke. Lol Ugh, I have a kid in law school, and her professor is helping me find the right avenues to fix this problem. There are enough people for a class action suit. I spend my days gathering names and will continue to do so until change is made.
@@mommasonthemove9144in your research do you know what years were better than others? My husband has worked at Newmar for over 2 decades but even with a discount theirs are out of reach … so wondering about 5th wheels and travel trailers… how far back do we need to go for quality? Have you come across that?
Is GD making two versions of the 2024 395MS? I walked through one with partial front drop frame with two doors on front to create more storage. The lack of basement storage and lower payload is (was?) a big complaint with these models. It seems like there are two versions I’m seeing advertised.
Awesome toy hauler. They can advertise all over it for there company then give it to me to to hall my dirtbikes from track to track.😊😊😊 . But truly it is an awesome camper best layout on the market for a toy hauler . Would love to own one some day.
True but Grand Design isn't worried about safety, or quality, or customers and they take delivery. Grand Design is only worried about one thing and that's making sure your check clears
I look for that 🤷♀️. I prefer it so I don’t have to go out where everyone else is to go to the bathroom during night. I know it’s not a huge thing, probably but I am used to that at home and prefer it. 💁🏼♀️

We have become a country full of backstabbing from corporate attitudes all the way into our churches, schools and families.

I love that the TV is straight on. I hate the angled position we see in 90% of toy haulers. Now give me this with a side patio and I'll be in love.

I've seen many ideas like this that people have shown...living rooms, offices, multiple children's room...excellent ideas
@@blewwizze agreed. I hope the manufactures start to incorporate those ideas someday soon.

Love the separation of the dining/kitchen area from the living room. Love this rig.
It’s a great one!
To me-the 2023 Riverstone 45BATH and 2024 Riverstone TH 4513DST are the best toy haulers in the market, along with some of the Brinkley’s.
Needs more towel holders . Hand towel rings, both vanities. And more hooks in main bath, for towels and clothes. Other then that, good floor plan.
You do a great job Myles
Thanks thank you for your informative you I found one of these yesterday two years old and I am motivated to buy it

This is our best option if the Brinkley 3950 doesn't pan out. We are going to the show in Tampa to take a look
There is no comparison to Brinkley. Coming from a Solitude owner.

I would love this floor plan minus the garage in a 32' fifth wheel or TT.
Beautiful camper well thought out. Unfortunately I think they blew it with the bed design in the master the head of the bed should be closet Space.
i need this with an 16-18 foot garage
How much weight can you put in the Garage?
I don't think I could ever trust grand design
I like the lights but I want them to be bigger then that
I prefer my '23 395 ms
Where's the wife? Loved seeing you two together
We separated over the summer.
Crap cabinets mine is a 21 delaminating everywhere including doors
Also, those flimsy rings screwed into wood are useless. All toyhaulers should have them welded to the frame for safety.
