@@TheGenreVerse not just that, in the second episode the guy supporting Toji asked him how was megumi, and Toji replied “Who’s that?” Because megumi is a female name and he doesn’t know any girl named Megumi. That’s why he made that face when he remembered Megumi, he realised how stupid he looked in that moment.🤣
8:37 the reason he could not absorb was because Toji ''owned'' the curse, he learned here that he cant absorb curses that are linked to others, that why in the movie he tries to kill Yuta first to absorb rika after that
What's crazy is it's bc of toji that gojo learned how to properly learn/use these techniques. This whole mission was the turning point for both of them and how their beliefs/personalities changed between them and how things happened with them in the future/present time. Which is why this flashback arc was really important to show.
Toji: -Casually comes and takes down two first grade sorcerers alone. -Gets killed by the same first grade. -Forces his child onto said sorcerer. -Refuses to elaborate. -Dies.
Since the anime doesn't cover it, nor do I think it will in the future, Imma tell you the story of Toji Fushiguro. As he explained, he was ridiculed by the Zenin clan for not having cursed energy. He hated the family so much he disowned himself from it and left to live his own life, taking up a career in sorcerer assassination by making use of his heavenly pact. Eventually he found happiness by marrying the love of his life and even had a kid. Until one day his wife fell to illness and Toji spiraled into a deep depression. To escape from his own emotions, he decided to walk the path to enlightenment, which meant abandoning all earthly tethers including his son Megumi. And he sold him to the Zenin clan for reasons that actually will be explained in the anime. And that leads up to the man you know now
This isn't mentioned in the anime but, well Toji was an assassin and after he married Fushiguro's mom he changed his ways for the better and loved her dearly, but she passed away young and he, well returned too his old ways
Toji🙌 The first to dog walk Gojo, man beat Gojo so bad he had to evolve, he beat racism into Geto lmao. Didn’t allow a girl to be possessed by Tengen. This man the goat even in death with a hole in him he would not fall.
And thus gojo became the God we know and love today. And I love the symbolism in this arc with gojo walking into the red (positive) and geto walking into the blue (negative) representing how this situation shifted there ideals
Honestly I love Toji just from his dialogue in his final moments, he has the same issue as Maki they came from the Zen’in clan are were looked down on but unlike Maki he choose to forget about them and move on with his life get married have a family until he loses his wife “how? No idea” but after he comes to the reality that he isn’t equip to raise a child it was his wife that must have been the person teaching him because he didn’t learn anything from his clan, but when he sees Gojo the strongest individual with the most hacked, cheat technique in all of the jujutsu world he feels that if he can beat him he can spit on the notion that his clan and the rest of the jujutsu world believe “that your technique matters” similar to Maki who wants to prove she can rise up with just her pact, Toji wanted to prove he could beat the strongest technique without one(unfortunately Gojo does prove Zen’in right…technique does matter) say what you want he loved his son to know he may hate the Zen’in but knew they would raise his well because the odds are he wouldn’t be like Toji. An this isn’t something that is out right said at any moment this is based on the fact that throughout these episodes we find out he is the one that named him Megumi(he saw his son and said this is my blessing) the fact that Megumi has a step sister meaning he remarried but it’s doubtful he divorced and the mom would just leave Megumi so she must have died which I can assume that after being mistreated by his family the first person to treat him with genuine love dies It can be assumed he would fall apart, look at real world situations parents who lose a spouse can become unintentional toxic to the rest of the family not realizing what they do to cope hurts the own children and family, Toji loved his son enough to know he had no business being with him

Don't worry... we appreciate the character as part of the story. As part of what needs to happen for the protagonists to go on their journey. A good bad guy should be loved to be hated. If that makes sense. Darth Vader is the greatest bad guy ever, but dude is a vile murderer of BILLIONS directly and indirectly. If he had survived the 2nd Death Star, there is no "letting it go" unless it's him "going" straight to carbonite! lol
If you ask yourself why your video got 68 dislikes, it's most likely because you celebrated Toji's death. He is many people's favorite character for a good reason. I love you guys, but as a Toji fan, I had to leave a dislike. No grudge here, nothing personal, I'm just a man of principles😊. Joke aside, if you wanna know why so many people love Toji, it's because behind his big muscles and provocative smile, he's a deeply sad and tragic character. I'd say he's the most tragic character in the show behind Junpei. His first name Toji's sinograms can literally be interpreted as "good-for-nothing". That's how much disdain his own parents and family had for him since birth because of his lack of cursed energy. He grew up rejecting this family and the entire hyper-hierarchical ultra-elitist eugenicistical society of sorcerers and decided to kill them for money, throwing their vertical violence back at them in physical form. After his wife died, he gave up on any hope of ever finding happiness in the future since she was the only person to ever show him kindness. And it was obvious that it has been the happiest period of his life because he literally named his son "Megumi" (Blessing). The fact that he could forget about his son's name later on just shows you how deep the trauma of his wife's death has been for him. Yet no matter how miserable he was, he always kept this fierce smile on his face, never showing weakness, never admitting defeat in the face of the adversity that has been his chaotic existence. And THAT'S the reason why people love this character. As you could see, he even literally died standing. Even when he asked Gojo to save his son from being sold, he tried to make it sound like he didn't care either way. He refused to bend the knee to a sorcerer until the end. And the fact that he single-handly managed to threaten the peace of the entire sorcerers society by himself makes him a true legend. Without Toji, Gojo and Geto wouldn't be who they are now. Toji is the reason why Gojo stopped being so full of himself and decided to reform the sorcerers society to protect the youth. Like an earthquake or like a storm, Toji was a force of nature that forced sorcerers to rethink their own system of values. I'm daring to say that he's even the most pivotal character in the entire JJK storyline. I know that it must be difficult for Americans (I presume you guys are Americans) to understand, since most Americans seem to have a very binary system of morality, like the kind of idealistic stuff you read in superhero comics, but Toji will always be my favorite fictional character of all time, anime or not. Born to be a loser looked down upon, yet using his handicap to force the World to bend the knee and to himself walk among Gods, I believe Toji crystalizes by himself every Nietzschean's wet dream. As you will see in future seasons, whenever characters talk about the strongest beings that ever lived, Toji's name ALWAYS comes up. We may debate about "right" and "wrong" all day, but in the face of the chaos that is Life, individual power is also a virtue; a virtue that allows us to fight against all odds, and Mr. "Good-for-Nothing" was there to brutally remind us of that. To you, he may seem like a villain. But to me and many others, despite the negative nature of his actions, he IS a rolemodel, no matter how controversial this may sound.
Your add-on/plugin for dislikes may be off some. Not sure if you can adjust it's settings to better estimate, but the stats in TH-cam studio say there's only 30 dislikes. Not that It really matters, it could be 100 and I'd still stand by Toji being a murderer. There have been many serial killers that "beat the odds" and came from abusive homes or families, but we don't (or shouldn't) idolize them. Hell, there have been dictators of entire nations that came from abusive and depressing homes... No one says (or shouldn't) "oi, Adolph, we get it... It's alright... You did some crazy stuff after being abused as a kid, but damn if you couldn't rally the troops!" 😆 It's very cool that he's as bad ass a villain as Vader, but just like Vader, he's a bad guy... And bad guys in fiction either deserve to die, or get redeemed and still deserve punishment... Feeling a sense of justice in his death doesn't mean we didn't like his part in the story, or that we don't want him to exist or be a part of the future of JJK... It just means we like seeing evil get punished lol. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings. We respect them... Don't get it, but respect it... Sorta... 🤣
I mean no matter what is the reason, you can't justify Toji being a piece of $#!+. I can't believe people getting angry over the reactor not liking Toji.
People misconstrue hating in-world actions for hating the character's existence... He's OP as fuck and a bad ass, but he's a bad guy... Even with "good reasons" he's a bad guy... You're not supposed to "like" the bad guy. You can think his story is well done, that he's well written, that he looks cool or does cool things, but you're not supposed to "like" him... My take.

@@TheGenreVersenope that is his character but this is the first time I've seen someone not like him he's like everyone favorite side character even tho he was only in a few episodes also I was mainly talking about him and his kid he cared more about his kid then himself we see multiple flashbacks of him looking at his kid and wife he told gojo about his kid knowing that he would have a better life with gojo then his clan he tried to push away all feelings of love for anyone and become empty but he could never push away his kid thats why when we first met him he really couldn't remember his kid bc he pushed all the good thoughts down to the bottom he couldn't be a dad bc he was basically bread and forced into the life he is living now there was no gojo that came along to help him he had to find a way to survive and becoming a bounty hunter was one of the ways he found this is not a spoiler
@runawaycloak17l52 l agree with you here my friend l fell şad for his kid and wife too have nice day❤
@@runawaycloak1752he is a good antagonist, but he is a dick and doesnt deserve any kind of sympathy.
I did a great job with boosting the comment section under this video by baiting those guys 😎😎😎
I found out conversation fair. 😆 Thanks for the effort? 😂
@@TheGenreVerse your welcome. And dont worry even if I sad something evil, I can still fix it , for future 😈😉
Everyone trying to said that Toji had a tough life, I don't care. Good riddance to that Child killer.
Suguru didn't deserve all of that 💔
Not at that moment... Nope.
your media literacy might be negative
I'm sure it's not, but why?
Why u hating on toji to much bro like chill calm down
He's. A. Murderer. And... murderers, usually, not my favorite people...
@@TheGenreVerse how can judje someone that u don't their story or what's happened from that time also but your own view u should have gojo too bad he killed few people and sacrifice with some too like I said don't judje so wait when the anime ends and when the wild story of everything then if u still have the same opinion that's cool then I'll respect it so chill
All the trauma and bad things happening to you before, does not excuse murder... If this were a revenge thing... Maybe, but Riko did nothing to him or his family.
These sorcerers killing while doing their job, it can be callous or in bad form, but it's different than taking a hit job and killing an innocent.
If Gojo had done what Toji did, we'd be calling him a murderer and saying good riddance. Geto... That village?!? Murderer... Bad guy... DESPITE the reasoning behind it... Or more so, because he's basically racist/bigoted now... And yes, we know it's because he has seen the worst in humans... So have I, and I'm not trying to kill all humans.
@@TheGenreVerse fair point but I would like u to just be more open to understand more and wait until the story ends and then u can say your final perspective in someone

You did some crazy stuff after being abused as a kid, but damn if you couldn't rally the troops!" 😆
It's very cool that he's as bad ass a villain as Vader, but just like Vader, he's a bad guy...
My take.
@@TheGenreVerse I agree. Anyway, I enjoy your reactions. Keep it up.
@@alexsingh2389l agree with you here l love him as villain but yes your ritht here❤
@@TheGenreVerse see just because someone is a bad guy doesn't me you can't like him dark Vader joker Thanos Toji I like the villains more then I like the good guys bc 9 times out of ten the good guys are very boring when they are just a good person that is just good bc he supposed to be the hero of the story I love geto bc he is a bad guy I like him more for it idk if it's weird I don't condone it in real life but as a character I love it, if geto died I would fell sadder about his death then if Yuji died I don't I like Yuji bc he's too much of a goodie 2 shoes he's boring and never interested me at all he's probably my least favorite part about the show that's also why I like Yuta more bc he has a more black and grey look at things I personally didn't want Toji to die bc his character is far more interesting then most in the show like I would love to get a deep dive into his character bc you can tell there are layers there but he was killed off quickly. People call gojo good guy and love him when his is not a good guy he has threaten to kill the higher ups to push his goals forward But since its coming from gojo who is on the good guys team people don't care bc its gojo is also one of my favorites bc he's not afraid to kill and is very self centered he took in meagumi but he also groomed him to be jutsu sorcer something he didn't want to do he did it so he could fit in with his team without giving him a choice basically he said join my crew or be a slave to zenin clan this is also no hate I love your vids and I love your personalitys I just love to start conversations in the comments can't wait for the next episode.
I literally brought this up in another comment using Vader 😆. I didn't feel I should have to be explicit in this in the reaction. It's meant to be common sense.
