@@DigimonTamerfreakif they’re really gonna keep this show going for ever then the wise thing to do would have been replacing the voice actors, but no this is just what Mr. Burns sounds like voiced by the 79 year old Harry Shearer. And that’s not even as bad as Marge.
Once in a blue moon ill see a clip from a new Simpsons episode like this and it just makes me sad. Its not worth complaining about anymore since the show hasn't been good since like 1997 but seeing these once iconic characters from a long gone era talk about stuff like internet trolls and CEOs buying Twitter is just depressing. Its like watching a 70 year old man trying to figure out an iPad and failing miserably
The show literally has been good past 1997. You just got blinded by nostalgia and outgrew it. And as a rule of thumb, if you stopped watching something, or haven't watched something, your opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
Knowing that the show writers of the Simpsons are very clairvoyant, I wouldn’t be surprised if the twitter being sold to another person, other than Elon, actually because a real thing in a distant, but near future😅
Elizabeth Holmes will own Twitter because her rich sugar daddy will buy it for her. Simpsons called it now. That or Elizabeth Holmes will marry Elon Musk.
I mean, Twitter (I refuse to call it X) is already -50% off its estimated value. It will probably be 100% off once Tesla goes bankrupt in a couple years.
All the OG voice actors get $300k per episode , they are all in their 70s & 80s , time has finally taken its' toll - just like Rogue's voice in X-Men '97 , I still haven't gotten used to her voice change.
Wow. I haven't watched season 35 yet. But I have noticed Marge's voice is the first to go. Lisa and Bart still sound ok. So does Homer. It would be interesting to see why Harry Sheerer struggles with Mr. Burns? But that basically sounds like himself. I wonder how he sounds with Ned Flanders or Lovejoy? It's just time to give this show up. They've had their run. 35 years is a long time. I can only watch religiously to about season 13. 1-13 are great.
Harry Shearer said on a talk show once that Burns and Smithers are the voices that require the most vocal strain to perform. So that plus now being in his eighties now would probably be why he sounds so different. Same thing happens to the other actors on the show, and another notable one is James Earl Jones' voice, it sounds a lot less powerful than it did twenty-odd years ago, just happens with age.
Season 34(the previous season) garnered 1.83M viewers an episode and was Fox's highest rated comedy, beating out Family Guy and Bob's Burgers. They also made $500M in revenue off Simpsons merchandise in the past year. The show's going on until it no longer becomes profitable to do so.
This is almost as bad as Marge’s voice.. i love the Simpsons but i think its finally time to let the show go a-lot of these characters voices have gone down hill..
This is sad. This man clearly can barely do the voice without hurting his throat. I really wonder what’ll happen when one of the main cast members die. It’s inevitable, some already sound near death’s doorstep
Going to be honest as much as I'll miss the old voice this is a pretty good for what they could get so Maybe they should look for someone who can do a better voice but for now I don't see why people rag on it so much it's serviceable
I sadly think they should finish the show on a good note before a lot of changes happens to the character's and completely kill the show sadly and painfully! A lot of people grew up with these characters and then seeing wither away and see them get killed off the show, look what happened to maude Flanders....Edna kerable! Let's not forget the changes that were made because of woke, ..first apu, then carl and dr hibberts voice....and let's not also forget MARGE'S VOICE! The actors are getting older and they can't keep this up anymore! It's best to end the show on a good note...a happy ending! Not on a sudden and sad ending like the tv show "Dinosaurs"! Its best to know and remember the characters when they were in their prime! This is very hard for me to say this, the Simpsons pretty much aired the year i was born, 1987! The characters are pretty much slowly and painfully being killed in front of us! That fact alone is like pouring acid on my heart and soul! Imagine that you are seeing a loved one getting stabbed and slowly bleeding to death! "IF YOU TRULY LOVE SOMEONE, THEM GO!"
For those wondering why Mr. Burns sounds different, it’s because Harry Shearer left the show after Season 26. He’s the first long-time cast member to officially step away from The Simpsons. He played Mr. Burns, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, Lenny, Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, Otto Mann, and (formerly) Dr. Hibbert.
Harry Shearer is a no-talent J.ew who only got a career through ethnic nepotism. If they want to keep the voice the same, they should run Shearer's old recordings through an AI voice clone program, and use that to generate all future dialogue. It couldn't be any worse than no-talent Shearer himself.
Harry Shearer is now too old to accurately voice a 104-year-old man
Ironic eh?
He literally phones in his performances for the show nowadays
Good grief.....Harry Shearer is clearly struggling to voice Mr Burns. Doesnt sound like the voice at all anymore
