    Cool vid, I've actually never seen one of these apart before, no motorcycles/dirt bikes in the Chair Force, well the rescue squadrons have all that fun stuff, but we didn't work on their stuff. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for taking the time to make & share this video with us. I have an 05' 300 EXC. It's been a great bike and still runs strong, but my kickstarter gears slip sometimes. I realized it needs to be disassembled quite a bit to replace, but seeing you do it makes it a lot less intimidating.

    Hi Charlie - 1st comment, I'll edit later!
    Very informative and video angles were good so able to see what was going on.
    That was a very nice, clean, rebuild and I hope you haven't got too many vital parts left-over! 🙃

      No left over parts thankfully!

    Hey! Super helpful video even years later. Currently doing the top end on my 2002 KTM EXC 250. Question- can you share how you got that one collar nut torqued down that is hidden behind the control flap linkage? Can't fit much in there! This may be helpful to some- according to KTM Maint Manual, Head bolts AND Cylinder Collar Nuts are torqued to 35 N*m... for exc 250 and 300.

    I like your video. Thx for that. Question:
    The Crank is fit in the bearing without warm/cold. Is that normal for the old EXCs? Or is the crankshaft worn in?

    Where did you get all your case bearings? I’ve got a 01 300 EXC that I split the cases on. I’m having trouble finding all my bearings.

      I had to just search the part numbers. Most of them came from Ebay

    Hi Charly, been meaning to ask you about your heavy equipment job is, and what's the process to become one?

    • @ApeShift
      @ApeShift  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I got a job at a rentals company changing okl, and washing and greasing equipment. After that i just worked my way up. Try applying at your local equipment dealers and see if they have any entry level positions

      @@ApeShift oh i see, I'm actually on Mexico, but have an experience and a almost finish degree on mechatronics but I want to go to usa and was thinking on something like a h2b visa or something like that, but I'm not really sure if companies do that anymore

    Hey I’m having trouble with a 1996 KTM 300MXC. With timing issues. It has the SEM stator. When I can get it started it runs backwards? How do I fix this issue.

    • @VitaliyKhomich
      @VitaliyKhomich 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      SEM is basically unfixable once it goes. You can replace the whole system with Kokusan from 1997+ doesn’t matter if it's 250 / 300 / 360 / 380, they all fit
