Is it just me or does the microphone has a peeping noise whenever cgb is speaking? Edit: I thought my headphones were broken because I never had that in a cgb video. Of course as always great content, beside of the small sound issue.
There is a faint buzz whenever the mic opens when you speak. It used to not be there but it not a big deal since every other videos quality is top notch. I think some cord might be getting old/a short or there was some interference like a phone or something. Great video beside that audio issue 8). I feel bad commenting this because I know you will be hard on yourself :C
+danno029 +CovertGoBlue some pro-audio troubleshotting advice (if this isn't welcome go ahead and ignore it): You have a bad ground somewhere in the system, probably connected to a digital wireless receiver or transmitter. This could be something that's always been there and is only coming up now because the power-supply voltage on a battery-powered wireless transmitter is low. Possible fixes: Replace the connector to that power supply with a 3-prong or 2-prong, or vice-versa, or flip over the 2-prong plug that you're using. If that doesn't work, replace the battery on the transmitter (which might be a wireless microphone.) If that doesn't work, replace any speaker cables or any other unshielded cables you have in your setup with ground-lifted shielded cables. (It could be you recently replaced a cable with an unshielded speaker cable by mistake. ) By the way, the reason I know it's a bad ground is because the frequency is just above a b-flat (480Hz) square wave sound, which means it's almost certainly digital distortion connected to your 60Hz AC power supply.
not against you or CGB, just trying to figure out for the best of all here. I have a hyper X cloud 2, and i don't hear those buzz noise whatever you can call it. Maybe it has to do with hardware ? even tho multiple people seem to have the issue

@21:30 Why was that attack lethal? Opponent at 23, attack for 13, but 26 damage goes through. You can kind of see the opponent's life inexplicably drop from 23 to 10 right when the Hydra goes in. Am I missing something? Edit: I see now that it was just a very smooth transition to CGB's next turn to cut out the opponent's salty roping.
Actually, I don't believe it's editing on the video. CGB is in the middle of a sentence when the life total drops, and neither the opponent nor he had a change to hand size, number of lands in play, graveyard, etc. What I believe is actually going on here is an interesting "bug" that I've seen pointed out before (though it doesn't actually affect game play in any way). If the opponent concedes after CGB has gone to the damage step, but before the "creatures smash into the life total" animation, then the game has actually already calculated the damage dealt, thus the drop from 23 life to 10. Then, the animation plays which shows another 13 life lost, from 10 to -3. So it's a desynchronization between the calculated damage dealt and the animation of damage dealt caused by the opponent conceding.

I imagine a lot of people in the same position than me would rather like to have a smaller window with your face in the top right corner so we can follow what you highlight with the mouse. Good videos though! I'm playing one of your mono red and took me to Platinum 4. not bad for a newbe.
Really hope we see more standard event soon, but hydras are good content nonetheless. Bonus points since they also make a good transition into Ikoria spoilers seasons. :)
Ironscale hydra cries in a corner. The hydra prevents combat damage and replaces it with +1+1 counters. With double strike put twice the amount on it. Take that Embercleave!!
Next time my opponent takes kind of a long time to mulligan I'm going to have to wonder whether he's really considering his options, totally afk, or just mourning the sudden death of his plush Ghidorah
Absolutely agree with the number of power cards here - and its one of my chief complaints about MTG: seems rare/mythic rare card power is just undeniably better than common/uncommon, promoting players of paper/online to "pay to win", so to speak. As much as we all hated on the ole "red deck wins" meta, I found it nice to see something cheap and viable that could compete in the format.
When I'm having a bad land draw day, I actually cut lands from the deck, It makes no sense, sounds absolutelly dumb, but for some reason I get luckier with the draws. Used to be logical and increase the land count, just felt worse. I'M NOT CRAZY, IT JUST WORKS, ARENA JUST WORKS.
Nah man I hate hydroid krasis. Gains life and is huge against aggro, is huge and has flample to get through damage, draws cards on *cast* against control/midrange. It's been tier 1 since printing, it made golgari midrange turn sultai way back when. Right now the problem with green, and simic is that their payoffs for ramp are too good.
Im surprised you didnt include Gadwick over Hydroid. I know he is a hydra. But to draw 3 with hydroid. You’d have to pay x=6. And that stinks. And with breeding pool being in the game. OR the 3cmc chromatic creature. Making everything a forest and an island. Its just kinda better

I take it because the game constantly changes that's not a good strategy either? also You said mismatched art on the pridemate and called it a joke. I however say that he want's to have variety because I have four of each of those and like to put in 2 of each. I also like to put in different land art. because I can.

Arena has a long-standing visual bug where if an opponent concedes just when they're taking damage then the damage displayed is doubled.
