I wanted to walk but an hour and 30 there and back 😩 especially going directly after work. I feel like if I go home I’ll stall and then get to the gym late and it’s so packed the later it gets😭
I do before and after weights. Walk until I hit 100 calories before and walk after until it hits 100 after. Before helps me get circulation going before i lift and I can do more reps. Everyone is different
It doesn't really matter to be honest. I always do cardio first and this helps to really fire up my body and raise my body temperature in preparation for my lifting. I believe it also makes me stronger.
It does depending on your intensity, if you’re intensity of cardio is high enough you will definitely impact your performance during weightlifting in contrast to something like a light intensity 10 min session
Exactly! I stopped doing cardio before workout cuz everyone was like omg nooo it’s bad… etc but I was so much stronger and better when I was doing it that way, after hitting weights I can’t do cardio I’m just too tired! I tried to switch but I just can’t so I’ll just go back to doing cardio before lifting since it was working perfectly fine for me
I do a 10-15 min easy run & 2 warm up sets on leg day but only because it’s given me better quads results. I might try doing treadmill walks with hills though, see if that’s just as good t
What if I want to grow strong, build muscle and want to lose fat also? I am way too confused, everyone has a different answer for this question, would be great if someone could help me with it
What about separating cardio from strength training? For instance: strength training in the morning and cardio at night, Does it have the same impact as if both were done in one session?
i do both …. my gym is 1.2 mile away from my house i walk there and back
That’s perfect.
same here. it's a good 3 mile walk there and back

People do cardio before because they see it as a warmup for lifting, but just lifting light is a better warmup.
can we take a second to appreciate the abs!!
Love this! At the end of the day it's just going to look so different for everyone!

Thank you sister 🙏🏼
I could listen to you reading the yellow pages. Love your accent and tone in your voice.
I always warm up for my lifts with a 5-10 minute walk on the treadmill

You!... uncomplicated me. ❤

I’m a bit scared to start using the weight training machines, I have very limited upper body strength. I just got a set of dumbbells for at home.
