Do you have any tips on how to keep weeds at bay?! I'd love to hear them below! 💛💛
Thanks so much for making these videos; they are so incredibly helpful. I watch a ton of flower farming channels and yours is my favorite! Not only are you very clear and have a great personality but you understand that not everyone has buckets of $ to just buy and build everything you want right from the get go.
You give great ideas as to how to still do the job even if youre not made of money. You are greatly appreciated! ❤
I greatly appreciate you and your kind words! Thanks so much! Wishing you a beautiful growing season ahead 💛💛
Your campanula is dreamy!
Thank you so much for this info! I never knew the difference. You’ve convinced me to try plastic mulch next season.
Glad I could help! Best of luck to you next season! I truly love how plastic mulch works for us- hope you enjoy your experience as well 💛
I have several raised beds and apply 2-3” of compost followed by
4-5” of a mix of grass clippings, shredded dry leaves, and dry pine straw (pine needles)- weeds are no longer waging war, but still need to be pulled as they pop up
Great information. Thank you!
A very good video! Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for tuning in!
Found my answers! ;) THANK YOU for all this great content!
Excellent!
Very helpful information! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for tuning in :)
Thanks so much for the helpful "fabric vs plastic" video! A question: do you do any special cleaning to your fabric before taking it up? Separate question: do you take up the fabric by hand? Thanks so much!
Any chance you could post a video on drip irrigation? There’s so much information out there, I don’t know where to begin. Love your videos!
That’s so funny you mention drip bc I’m literally working on editing a video on our irrigation .. should hopefully have it up soon 🧡
This is so helpful! I used straw mulch this year and it was a breeding ground for earwigs. 😫 I can’t wait to try plastic mulch next year. I do have a quick question though, if you don’t mind. Is your drip tape above the plastic (over the holes) or below it? Thanks, love your videos! 🩷
Earwigs can be a bugger. Hopefully you’ll have better luck next season 💛 Our trip tape is below our plastic mulch.
What brand of plastic mulch do you use? Did I miss that? I don't see a link to purchase that product.
I didn't link it as I often purchase our plastic mulch in large 4000 ft long rolls from my local co-op. I did hop on Amazon to see if I could find the same plastic mulch in smaller lengths and based on the description, this mulch would be very similar to what we purchase (the roll is just 100' long instead of 4000' ;) amzn.to/3SrRLyK
My first year at cut flower gardening. This fall will be a first also, with using bio360🤞 to prepare my beds for early spring planting in 2024.. loved this video!
Best of luck! You’ll have to let us know how the Bio360 works for you!
Landscape fabric only trains the weeds to grow strong as tree roots. :) I absolutely hate it. (professional gardener here).
Haha yes, very true! :)
What is your recommendation, I have access to cedar mulch, lots of it at a very reasonable rate. I'm talking for walkways.
imho- Perfecto!@@kellyoliver1943

As a home gardener without a tractor or other professional equipment, neither landscape fabric nor plastic seem ideal. As if any hack will eliminate weeds. My fallbacks are always compost and mulch. The compost makes our clay soil more friable so pulling weeds doesn’t break my arthritic back. The mulch reduces the weed invaders access to sun. Since my garden is a retirement indulgence, I want it to be pretty and can spend a bit more in a smaller garden.
I love all that you've shared! Compost and mulch are great natural ways to reduce weeds- and you're exactly right, it will help keep your garden looking beautiful all season long too! 💛💛
