The Jefferson nickel is one of my favorite coins to collect. Just recently bought this exact same style of Capital Plastics holder with all the years/mints of the silver war nickel. All but one have step detail.
Thanks for a video on Wartime Nickels, that was a good video. Its nice to see someone give their time on coins that arent just that big or really consider a collector item in this hobby. Always a Fan of your show Ben.
Before watching the video: I’ve noticed that San Francisco has the least amount of full step Jefferson’s, followed by Philadelphia, and Denver by far has the best struck steps. Second, I cherrypicked a 1943/2 off eBay that graded MS65 FS and I sold it for 700 dollars recently at auction 😯
Hello , I would like to ask you if you have any info on a coin I have? The coin in question is a 1944 S Jefferson nickel with the mint mark is next to Monticello, not above like the coins you show in your video.I would also like to mention the coin is a non platted plainchant and weighs in at 4.4 not 5.0.Could you give me any info on what I should do? I haven’t been able to get any myself ,no info on this particular coin?
