Just ordered one from RGuns. They took my order, fixed my screw-up on the order, and shipped it out on the same day. Can't wait to pick it up. Scrubbing cosmoline builds character.

Back decades ago, when I was making my living as a gunsmith, a fellow (an old bench rest shooter) introduced me to Shooter's Choice gun cleaner. Back then it was called Marksman's Choice but it's the same stuff. It was a real money maker for me because it was so fast and really deep cleaned. Clean a gun with your favorite gun juice and then do it again with the SC, WOW! You won't believe the crud that was left behind. Copper, lead, powder residue and dried oil/grease are no problem. Slosh everything down and if it's really bad, set it aside for a couple hours. Everything just wipes away. Just be careful not to get it on wood. It strips finish faster you can believe. I'd take a bottle of SC over a bucket of Hoppe's any day. Brownell's sells it if you can't find it at your local toy store. No, I don't work for the company, I'm just an enthusiastic user of almost 40 years. Always enjoy your vids. Thanks.

Best way to clean cosmoline is by using a diesel .Yes , this is old trick my officer helped me once and it works.

I picked up a Beretta 70 in 32 acp. It was so dirty and gummed up with .... well everything. I did a 3 part cleaning on it. First I used a whole can of AutoBright Super Penetrating Lubricant from Dollar Tree on it many times. That did wonders. Then I deep cleaned with Hoppes no9 and wire and nylon brushes. Then more AutoBright Super Penetrating Lubricant and a super wipe down. Then used Remington oil wipes on it. Sometimes when you have to go nuke level.. start out with the cheap crap you could care less if you use it up. I did this with a SKS and brake cleaner. Just make sure you finish it off with good quality oil when you are done.

“The trigger group... ugh everybody does that.” Yes! Thank you! I’ve watched several videos on the M70 and everyone in fact does do that. It was annoying the hell out of me.😂👍🏻

I don't think ballistol was the issue. It doesn't turn to grease. It probably loosened the cosmoline and you didn't wipe it off.

It comes out like on a 1911. At least on mine there was so much gunk that the firing pin and spring looked like a turd lol

I was born in socialist Yugoslavia. That chain that is on the M57 was usually located on the sink in the bathroom or kitchen and connected the plug to the sink so that the plug would not be lost. 😂😂😂😂
