- Black Clover Manga released Black Clover Chapter 356 has dropped, revealing that Yuno has SURPASSED ASTA? Asta vs Yuno is going to happen in the final fight to become the ultimate Wizard king. Yuno has gained the power to STOP TIME and has the potential to rival the god of Black Clover, Lucius. Asta gained momentous new power in the hino country and is continuing to grow, but with Yuno gaining the ability to STOP TIME it's hard to tell who is stronger between the two. I can see this momment the part when lucius need to reset the timeline by using the combination of time x gravity x spatial magic. Then after he reset the timeline Lucius STILL attack the clover kingdom BUT Lucius APPEARS ON Yuno then use his soul magic TO seperate the two souls And THEN turn them into a paladin= Asta vs Yuno is born

I know Asta has Zetten and Yuno's mana zone is insane but it would be interesting if Asta later creates a anti mana zone with a perfected union essentially shutting down everything. The level of his attack is already wide with what he uses to kill the (dragon?) In Yami's home and that thing is like the size of a city so i think it would be reasonable to assume he can create an anti zone the size of the clover kingdom. I don't know maybe I'm reaching a bit. Actually it was foreshadowed when he was fighting lucifero with yuno, yami and narth. (When his magic was erasing all magic).

One interesting thing I’ve been thinking about for a while is how hate or negative emotions makes devil powers stronger. When asta was fighting Dante and he thought gauche was killed, his black for spread more across his body and he became way more powerful, and Dante specifically pointed it out. We also kind of see when asta first unlocks his black form that he flashes back to his bad memories and then it starts growing on him. This scene also later shows asta looking like a complete devil with both wings and and horns fully grown. Maybe if we’re to go off the assumption that yuno dies or is turned into a paladin, asta will go into full rage mode.

That’s definitely what I think is gonna happen, Yuno is mirroring Julius vs patry rn imo. I’m sure he’ll have plot armor and won’t die but there will/may be a moment when asta comes in and assumes he’s dead, along with all the other magic knights or at least the better majority of them. I just don’t see this hitting as hard w/o all that death and destruction from lucious. Ig I could see Yuno losing by trying to save everyone else and that’s when asta comes in and goes rage mode, so it’ll only be Yuno and some magic knights that are “killed”. Too me though I’d rather see the majority get killed, than be saved by some crazy plot armor magic than just Yuno dying otherwise it just won’t hit the same..

i like how lucius views yuno and asta differently just like the kingdom did. lucius viewed asta as a flaw and unfit to be in his "new world" while at the same time he acknowledges yuno enough to call him his rival (not in the same sense like yuno's relationship with asta but more like he just knows how strong yuno is). just like how everyone believed asta was a magicless nobody and yuno was a prodigy but this might be a stretch idk.
also the parallels between patry vs julius in this fight is nice, 2 guys with 2 souls of different heritage fighting eachother but the script is flipped

Anti magic doesn't always work usually when it's in the presence of a super powerful magic. As we have seen before where Asta had struggled to cut threw some spells even in DU because the magic was so powerful even anti magic struggled against it. I think yuno will be able to kill Asta unless Asta gets even stronger.

There's only one major thing which is a plus for Asta against Yuno and that's however strong Yuno Or any other magic knight may grow, it's ultimately a form of magic which will be useless in presence of Asta. Asta having mastered Zetten, which is advanced Kii detection, will enable him to predict physical movements well in advance so even attacks aren't going to work against him. Lucius might've declared Yuno as his rival but remember that Asta is the ONLY exception who can thwart away his plans.
It makes sense how Yuno can counter Lucius. It’s because in the Black Clover Universe everything is magic. So magic it’s self is treated as a construct in the Black Clover world exclusively. However the powers that each magic user has is not treated as a construct but, an ability. So in other words as long as your Mana is more powerful and you are a better mage you can overcome another characters ability regardless of their element type or ability.

@Poor Quality Edits No there are no actual Gods in the Black Clover verse. Lucius power/abilities is allowing him to act as a false God because of him being able to resurrect the dead with his soul magic, bone magic, blood magic and body magic. Black Clover characters world is made up of magic entirely. So magic it’s self is considered a construct. However the characters in this series do not possess the power to create or destroy said constructs. Think of it more as a orgin or power. Kinda like humans come from star dust but, that does not make us actual stars.

I have to admit. I find it completely amazing how you put things together. See I watch the show/animes tv and though I watch it and have an understanding into the shows plot. It can’t compare to the deep diving of analysis of these videos. It makes everything seem legendary In comparison to simply watching the video.
To give a simple comparison. If you watch a kid kick a ball into a net. You may feel indifferent or might chuckle.
But if you are told this kid couldn’t walk 6 months ago. And go into in-depth analysis of this kid and rewatch the scene. It becomes a mythical experience.

Nah, i can see this as a moment to seperate the two soul of yuno. It can either leave in two ways: Either the royal prince be turn into a paladin thus lucius force become even stronger with his star magic OR elf soul Yuno will sacrifice and be turn into a paladin and this mean Bell would be gone. I don't think yuno really wants to be wizard king, rather it's a false claim to keep asta motivated. He'll never tell anyone he doesn't want it, but if he and asta are standing together and they give yuno the crown, he'll just hand it to asta. Yuno knows he himself is strong, but he's seen asta is the one that changes hearts. Yuno knows he is the standard asta holds himself to, so he climbs the ladder to keep asta going.

I think you're forgetting that Asta can selectively target the magic of his enemies without affecting his allies. Those light beams that were going go destroy the capital? Demon-destroyer could erase those easily. So they both have different ways of supporting multiple people. Not to mention, Asta can restore people to normal, Yuno cannot (far as we know)

I can see Yuno getting the upper hand, but I can think of one counter for him: Damnatio. I doubt Lucius would kill a person with an ability that can lower a person's mana. Asta is the only one that can truly counter that ability. That would be the only way Lucius can turn the tables on him

I think asta will come last second as he always does but this time he won’t be able to save yuno and when he sees yuno die it will trigger some dormant singularity power from his unknown father and defeat Julius and then since asta is half demon he will eat the heart of Lucius and gain the powers to bring the dead back to life and he will resurrect yuno and the real Julius

Asta would have been able to save everyone as well. Demon-destroyer instantly undoes any spell effect by severing the cause an affect of spells. When he slashed the clouds away the zetten was large enough to cover the entire coubtry. So a zetten amped demon-destroyer could most likely cancel a spell the size of the clover continent. We already saw demon-destroyer was able to remove all of the elf souls after Zagred's defeat in one go, after they were linked.

I think Lucius will posess Yuno's body with his soul magic and Asta will have to stop him. That would resolve who's worthy of being the Wizard King between the 3 within the climax of the story.
