      What he does is not rocket science. You mount up an optic, shoot a couple thousand rounds with it, rack it off a post a few times, drop it a few times and see if it still works. No quantum physics required.

    It's possible the engineering behind the near flush fit rear lens makes it easier to quickly swipe any crud or mud away without it getting compacted on the edges. Great review.

      This. Shirt lint getting into the recesses of the optic is the main reason I want to upgrade. If I leave my rmr for more than a few days without wiping it the dot blooms like crazy.

      That’s how the early Navy contract samples of the Tasco Super Snipers had their objective lens.

    Thanks for posting Aaron. I ran an RMR for duty use for years but now carry a 507C for duty use bc I love the ACSS Vulcan reticle. No matter the angle of my presentation from a compromised position or stress level, finding the dot is almost guaranteed. I like closed emitters but don't trust the 509 due to fogging and internal moisture issues I've seen. Would be awesome if Trijicon & other manufacturers would do something similar to the Vulcan, especially in a closed emitter optic.

    I just mounted an RCR on an Agency AOS slide. I had to cut the raised posts down a couple of mm and I had to use #4-40 button head screws instead of the capstan screws. I also had to modify the allen key for the button head screws to make it fit in the small gap allotted for the capstan screw heads. Finally, it took a very long time to screw in because you only get about 15 degrees of movement with each turn. It works, though. I used loctite and estimated about 10 in/lbs of torque. We'll see if it loosens up.

    How do you not have more subs? That was easily the most comprehensive optics review I've ever seen.

    Great review Mr. Aaron! I'll stick with my holosun enclosed for much cheaper but essentially equal performance and reliability.

    Ok Aaron we get it. Trijicon great, yep, all good. We really need a burn down on the TST CHEMRAIL, if it’s 3000 mAh - 12A battery can handle it. Thanks guy. Doing great work.

    If the forward facing light sensor on RMR HD gets dirt or mud in it does that crank up the auto brightness? Could be a drawback of that system.

      Yeah I was wondering the same thing, I wonder if it got moisture on it if it would refract the light going in the sensor and cause some weird stuff to happen

    RCR or Acro P2? I think that is what people want to know. I think it just comes down to footprint at this point

    • @Cortezuma
      @Cortezuma 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Buttons and objective window visibility go to RCR. Mounting system goes to Acro. Durability and reliability most likely to RCR.

    I'd like to see how well it holds out moisture over time. That seems to be the main issue with enclosed models. Eventually they lose their seal and fog up inside.
