19 Bolt Action Battle Report: Commando’s vs Germans 1000 points

This weeks Bolt Action battle report heads to Norway to the village of Holvik and sees the two opposing 1000 point forces fight over the village.
British Royal Marine Commando’s take on a defending German force made up of Waffen SS and Fallschrimjager .
Operation Archery was a WW2 raid on Holvik to give the occupying German forces a bloody nose and damage their production of glycerine and other oils for use on the Eastern Front.
Churchill was keen to show off and test the new commando’s against Hitlers troops… the Commando’s were not expecting such an experienced defending force. The result saw Hitler divert thousands of troops to the area to prevent an allied invasion to liberate Norway and get a foothold in Europe.
This Bolt Action battle report from the Ministry of Miniatures sees Stewart return with a 1000 point veteran German force to take on my British Commandos Army and battle it out to take command of the village of Holvik, Norway.
We will be playing scenario 3 from the rule book, key positions and have 5 objectives to fight over.
Another great battle, fantastic board and a bit of banter along the way…
