    The new Busa definitely has useful technology upgrades that extend the ridability of bike and make it more accessible for more riders in more conditions so that is wonderful. That said, make mine a 2021 ZX14R with a high quality pipe and tune. Difficulty there is my choices for a full 4-2-1 system that suits me are much more limited than 10 years ago when I bought my 2012 version. 55k trouble free miles on..two 14's including twice ridden cross country and just NOTHING like it, particularly in the western half of the US where you have remote rural roads that can absorb its capabilities in a way that is impossible elsewhere. Did I mention mountain roads? Pure nirvana with a good "fresh" set of Metzelers. I do..miss my green horizon seeker....

    • @SecondGearYT
      @SecondGearYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lucky you. zx14r + open road highway + good weather is pure nirvana indeed 😄. Currently im living in an area with bumper to bumper traffic almost all the time, so zx14r is definetly big no for me.

      @@SecondGearYT I..live also in traffic clogged place now. Florida. That said when I lived in California the 14R was a religious experience. In Florida, precious few..roads with decent corners and..remote enough to REALLY crack the whip. When I lived in California, I had multiple canyon roads 10-15 minutes from my apartment there. Out there, it was..nothing to have back road with 50 corners to learn/memorize or to use ALL 11,000 rpms thru 4th gear on a..ride to unwind and encounter no other vehicles. The western states are just like nothing else in the US to explore an ultra performance vehicle. That said the technical nature of the roads, remote locations, shear dropoffs with no guardrails and fast changing "micro" climates meant that you NEVER just blast down a road you are seeing for the 1st time. When you ride a mountain pass downhill in 1st gear because it's too steep to upshift, then you realize how much R&D went into the 14R. Just for..laughs be on that..road when its..slick with dew from morning fog and your sliding..both ends of the bike..downhill. Suddenly that super tall 1st gear makes SENSE. Wait somebody..tested this bike in these..conditions?

    Curb weight is inaccurate when your filling up both tanks with gas and the ZX14R holds 2 liters more fuel. They should both be weighed with equal fuel to get a true weight. I’d also give points to the 14 for having more fuel capacity. It also has wheelie control which you say it doesn’t.

    I owned Hayabusa gen 1 2006, still make sense n amazed me in every ride. I plan 2 purchase a Zx14r soon, id like 2 make a friend, between the Hayabusa n her killer (zx14r is Hayabusa killer, some say 😁). It also make sense, since 2nd gen Zx14 has more gimmick n updates tech than 1st gen Hayabusa. They both... awesome! 🤩🤩😎😇

    • @MelodicTurtleMetal
      @MelodicTurtleMetal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 14 will blow your mind. Ignoring power and comfort (both are really user dependant), the biggest difference between the 2 is how much better balanced the 14 feels. Somehow feels so much lighter and more nimble on the corners, despite being the heavier bike. I think the weight is slightly better distributed.
      Both are fun as hell, but the 14 over the first Gen busa is a huge thrill ride - namely the safety features make you feel you can go harder without dying 😂

      @@justyou9314 the 14r gets hot, though it does have those fans that turn on at 90c, and then go hard at 100c of you hit it. I live in a very hot and humid part of Australia, so it's always hot, but the fans keep it in check.
      Feels a little weird sitting in peak traffic with a combination of thumping exhaust and audible ventilation fans 😂
      If you get the bike and get a choice of pipes, make sure to check out the 2 brothers carbons. Slightly louder and deeper than the Yoshi's, though they also get louder quicker. Sounds better, but i feel i ride better on the Yoshi's just because the brothers might be too loud compared to the Yoshi's at 5000-8000rpm, and i find myself in a lower hear more often with the brothers 🤔

      @@MelodicTurtleMetal hehehe my 1st gen Busa also has its automatic fan, but its not helping, coz i live in Indonesia, which is way more hot, more humid n absolutely very crowd, mate. A full fairing bike like Busa n zx14r, has more chance to extinct 🤣😅. My Busa is eguipped with Brock Alien Head full system n PC V. I think its the most suitable pipes 4 Busa. Coz i seen in lots of movie or events, people put Brocks on their Busa. Thankyou 4 your suggestion, mate. Two Bros is awesome choice. Especially the 3/4 pipes. Its sound great n louder! But as the Brock, those pipes doesnt come cheap in Indonesia. I bouught those Brock about USD 1500. Its a lot of money for a pipe in the Indonesia''s currency, mate. U can buy a brand new luxury Honda scooter 150cc instead of a pipes 🤣. Yes, my homies put a Yoshi in his Busa, it sounds way calmer than Brock. Also a friend of me put a Two Bros short carbon on his CBR 1000R Rabbit (2012), its sound soooo good! Way better than Brock on my Busa, mate. But however, in my opinion, Busa n zx14r (or maybe another hyper bikes), they doesnt sound as furious as the 1000s bikes. I also have a Yamaha Fazer 1000 2012, with a Delkevic carbon slip on (without PC V), its sound way louder n better than Busa's Brock! In about 1500 rpm, with a little twist in throttle, Fazer's Delkevic is sooo blarring! (Im sorry, i cant find the right words to describe it, mate 😅). I wonder why. A heavier, louder, deeper whatsoever its called, just better sound than Busa's, in any way! 😎😁

    Owned 3 Gsxr 1000s, 2007, 2009, 2011. Owned 2 ZX10Rs, 2008, 2012. Something to be said about Suzuki. Over all the squid talk BS and sure the ninjas may make more power and all that but u can always make a bike faster. I’m here for the ride , and something that feels like I’m riding a modern bike. I just bought a 2022 Busa yesterday. They had a 2021 Zx14R right next to it. The 14r felt too big and too tall to me and a little uncomfortable and plus overall just plain. Like boring and lack luster. Felt cheap maybe that’s why it’s cheaper haha anyway I chose the busa never owned one but I do love the history of it and no matter how many “busa killers” come out they can never take away the heritage and history of it. Plus the busa has a following for a reason.

    • @MelodicTurtleMetal
      @MelodicTurtleMetal 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      New Busa is great for sure, but the 14r really did dominate it in its time.
      But the 14r definitely needs a refresh. 2012 was the last real change, and technology has come a long way (as seen in the gen 3 busa)
      Not holding my breath though. As shown with the new busa, getting that Europe emission clearance requires extra work and some sacrifices. I don't really know if Kawasaki will think it's worth it to go naturally aspirated Busa killer again. They seem to be heavily focused on supercharging.
      That said - plenty of rumours of a zx-15r, utilising a variant of Kawasaki's existing supercharged 1500cc engine used in its water sports.
      Supercharged 1500cc busa killer, with all the updates seen on the H2 line? 🤤🤤🤤
      Will likely cost double though

    A: too much power to the street and it can be dangerous.
    B : speeding, police is always somewhere behing you back when you drive with this and it is very easy to lose a driving licence with this.
    C : too much weight,
    266kg is not light.
    D : maintenance cost -> all the time have to buy a new tires + fuel efficience 8L / 100km is probaply minimum, it is always more + other service cost.

      A: both have very controllable power, and the electronic aids make these safer than a lot of other bikes out there. Definitely not a factor.
      B: Yes.. but also any 600cc can double the speed limit very quickly anyway. So again, not really a factor. The bulk of these bikes make it less of an initial target too.
      C: Weight is definitely a hindrance. Adds to fuel use, and makes moving them hard. Couple times on my 14r where a slight hill has made reversing extremely difficult. That said, it's very well balanced and feels very light while moving.
      D: Not really a factor. Tires might wear a little faster due to weight.. i don't think the difference between my 250 and 14r is much there though.. Fuel is not 8L/100km - I ride my 14 like it's stolen, and still achieve average of 6.8, and that's using it mostly in the city. 6.8 isn't bad for the thrill, and still better than a lot of cars, and much better than any thrill ride.
      E: Not affordable?? These are both incredibly low priced, especially for what you get.
      Enjoy your Hyosung 250 mate - when you want to actually ride, get a big bike

      I respect your choices. But not everyone has the same preferences. If you are into car than these litre bikes, then the others are opposite. Some would choose both though.
