- In this episode: We're in VIETNAM! :) ... and we will be for the next couple episodes. We'll then return to our regularly scheduled programming, in our PJs, chowing down Vietnamese dishes and learning new Vietnamese phrases from the comfort of our own home =p But for now... The highly anticipated and long-awaited trip with the big and crazy Vo family is finally here! Vi has a biggg family, and about 40 of us (and James!) made it overseas for this epic family vacation. This was such a special trip, as it was Vi's first time traveling to Vietnam with James, and James' first time on a big Vo family vacation (not to mention, international!) Enjoy these highlights from our visit to Da nang, Vi's dad's hometown. Next week: Saigon & Singapore!

A great relationship with all of our relatives and being loyal to the family is really important.. just being amongst my cousins is such a blessing. It warms my heart whenever my grandmother or mother sees my girl. They always give her a hug every time they see her, I'm so happy for James to experience how magical and beautiful it is. Just hearing him speak Vietnamese is incredible. My girls' Vietnamese isn't that good yet, but she's still learning, my parents think with more practice she'll get it, yeah she's caucucasian thats why just like James. I'm glad you were able to take him to where your dad was from. My parents are from Ninh Binh.. I can't wait for the next video as Saigon is such a wonderful place, and oh love, the video, too, is truly beautifully taken

My father's family is also from around the Ninh Binh area, which I think is one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam. You should check out Pu Luong, which is nearby (check out the video from "Keith & Dev"). Many people have made gorgeous videos from Ninh Binh and up north (Jaychel, "Sammy and Tommy", "Adventures of A+K", "Flora and Note", "Hello Hunnay" went to Yen Tu, etc.). I'm all about the majestic mountains like the Ha Giang Loop, the karsts on land (Ninh Binh) and karsts in water (Ha Long Bay) and the amazing caves there.
