I hate this ‘market adjustment’, too. I wish we could just avoid car dealers and just order directly from the manufacturer so there would be less fear of being ripped off or being coarsed into buying useless things.
I drove both before I bought mine in 2019 and went with the Frontier after a lifetime of owning Toyotas. The Taco seemed underpowered and hunted for gears, plus I felt like I was sitting on the floor and reaching for the wheel. The Frontier drives like a truck and feels planted and can do everything any other truck in its class can do. I love the simplicity of the Frontier and the 4.0 is a beast. Nearly 3 years later and I’m still loving my truck.
@@MaxSalinas1 Nissan truck engines have been reliable for decades, and they build the best V6s in the business. A Chicago delivery man with a 4 cyl Frontier hit a MILLION miles on the original drive train, and Nissan gave him.a new one. See it on you tube.
Even the OLD Frontier even is a better mid size truck than the new Tacoma. The frontier has a much superior frame, Better/big engine, more responsive transmission, much better seats, better brakes. Compared to the new Frontier the current Tacoma isnt competitive even if it was cheaper, which it isn't, its actually significantly more expensive. Ok, the Tacoma had the new trendy colors sooner, that's it.
I recently sold my 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport and bought a new 2022 Frontier Pro-4X. Both are great trucks, but I was sold after that test drive. The Frontier has a better drive quality and more torque. It just feels like the way a truck should be. But to each their own!
I owned two Frontiers (bought used) many years ago and loved them both. I only traded them in because the first one was a regular cab and I had two kids. The second one was a king cab and my kids quickly outgrew the jump seats. Now, I'm on my third Frontier: A 2021 SV with the crew cab, 4WD, with the tow package, that I bought new last year. It has the same engine and tranny as the 2022, which btw, the transmission can be manually shifted through all nine gears when needed. I put a tonneau cover over the bed and then road-tripped from MN to VA. I kept it at 60 mph because I was still in the break-in phase with the engine and I got 30 mpg. No joke. I kept detailed records all the way there. The bed cover really made a big difference on the mileage. It also made it less prone to getting blown around when I met a semi on the road. LOL! I test drove a Tacoma before I bought the Frontier. I hated it. The seats were so low (and not adjustable up/down) it was just plain uncomfortable to sit in, let alone drive. I'm happy with my Frontier and I'm having a good time adding bells and whistles to it. :P
I went with the 2022 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Reputation and reliability are my reasons. It’s a great truck and does exactly what I want and need it to do. I love it. My dealer does not mark up their trucks but then again they don’t negotiate either. I bought one that was allocated to the dealer and had to wait just over 3 weeks. Well worth it considering used trucks on their lot were selling for more than this one. A used 2021 TRD was selling for 5k over the MSRP on this one so my decision was easy. Most people want their vehicles now so they are willing to pay more for a used one rather than wait and save on a new one. Crazy people.
After watching your review I am leaning towards the Nissan Frontier king cab 4x4. No, I don't really do any off reading. But to pull a fishing boat and travel plus do normal truck chores. The way you discussed the ride pushed me to make that choice. I am a senior citizen and I want a better ride now. While I am very aware of the resell valve of the Tacoma. I still think that these trucks are very similar.
Great review and accurately captured what this Frontier is all about. For this New Frontier come so close to Tacoma in capabilities is such a testament what Nissan is capable. I enjoy watching your vehicles reviews, I like the content presentation and the fact that are short. One suggestion, if you could add prices, even if it is in general terms, because sometimes that's the determinent factor in comparing two similar vehicles.
Go Nissan Frontier , mine is 2012 SL 4x4 and still running great with 198,000 miles the 4.0 liter engine is solid. If I’m lucky I will be getting the new Nissan Frontier 2022 pro 4x.
Since 2003, I owned multiple Frontiers. Old body 3.3L and the newer one 4.0L I love the size, the power & the price on both styles. this time around the prices are too high to be considered. The local dealer is asking $39.7K for the 2022, SV 4x4.
I just bought the pro 4x in Boulder Grey, and it's by far the best truck for your money. The ride is comfortable and the towing is amazing. I'm glad I didn't go with the Toyota.
For us old guys, this question is an extension of the 1970's/'80's question: "Toyota or Datsun?". Both were and are proven to be reliable, but no question the Toyota badge/reputation has more heft/weight. That said, in 2019 I wanted to buy another used Tacoma but with manual transmission. No surprise the new/used Toyota prices were stratospheric. I ended up with a fine 1-owner '09 Frontier (MT, King Cab, 4WD) w/68K mi. Back to money, I think I saved somewhere between $8 and $10k up front (to the Tacoma year/model/mileage equivalent). I expect this truck will last another 10 years easily. It's not a Toyota, but a Datsun is a really good 2nd choice. If I were to ever sell it, it will hold value just fine - just not at "Toyota" prices.
I've been a Toyota fanboy for over a decade, currently still driving a 2012 tacoma, but I'll admit the Frontier is looking really nice these days. Pricing is much better and it looks so good. I know this video only compared the Frontier and Tacoma, but I'm also eyeballing the Ford Ranger, but not sure on long-term reliability of a turbo. I'm still drawn to it because of the low-end torque and the better gas mileage. I guess I still have a lot of research to do before I will feel comfortable with a final decision. But Thanks for the information in this video. Definitely helps with making an informed purchase.
You can't go wrong with either one as it all comes down to personal preference, but for me I picked the Frontier because the Toyota Tacoma makes me feel like I'm sitting on the damn floor. Now if I was a heavy off-roader I would pick the Tacoma.
Ya got to give the new. Frontier props for basically being put in the same conversation as Tacoma add to that the more comfortable & quieter on road driving capabilities & beating everyone other than Tacoma for reliability it's without question possibly a better everyday vehicle for an average driver where the Tacoma is always clearly better for off roaders as far as towing in my opinion if that's the purpose of purchasing a vehicle I'd definitely lean towards a full size or heavy duty truck before purchasing a new truck you first must determine the intended use & then determine which brand suites your needs overall
Despite the resale value of the tacoma it has a typically hideous toyota interior design ,especially the dashboard . I would really hate to buy a vehicle for its financial advantages and suffer daily having to live with an eye sore.
I just don't think everyone is made of money and comparing the top end trims is just not what I think people want to see ... I need to see a S model frontier vs SR Tacoma .... I looked at both and thats why I bought a frontier
When you look at the history of these 2 trucks the Nissan has the same reliability and longevity, the mistake Nissan made was not updating the platform often enough as that would have made it just as popular. Having said that I'm not willing to pay the "Toyota Tax" above the Nissan just because it says Toyota on the truck. Paying as much as 40% more for what is now with the 2022 models a lesser truck(the Tacoma), just makes no sense, Nissan has come in with the right pricing in the category and if they continue updating will run away with this category.
With the price of everything today either one is a good 👍 choice you can't go wrong with either one...as long as you keep up on maintenance and insurance and taxes it's a win win deal .... just don't drink and drive or let someone else. Drive it u will be okay 🆗👍
A good bit of misinformation. The Tacoma is not a better towing truck. Tow with both and report back. The frontier also has tow mode. You only mentioned it for Tacoma. The current Tacoma while refreshed for 2016 still rides on the same flexy Swiss cheese frame that it had in 2005. People are a little blind when it comes to Toyota. They still use rear DRUM brakes on a 2022. 🤦♂️ The OLD Frontier is a better truck than a new Tacoma.
Great review but confused with the pick. I’ve researched reliability of Nissan and I remember it being surprisingly better. Never owned a Nissan myself. “Hey, I’m a reviewer. Truck X is better in every way. I would pick truck Y.” Huh? Those Tacoma used Tacoma resales will plummet with new refresh next year. I’d, in fact steer clear of the outdated pickup that costs more for less right before it seriously gets outdated.
Trdpro has always been more expensive than the pro4x. Financially the toyota retains its value but if you were to keep the truck long term the frontier is the smarter choice.
Pro4x competes with the trd off road though. Also how is it the smarter choice? The tacoma is know to be way more reliable and hold its value way better. After 10 years of ownership you can sell it for more money and the price difference when buying new is almost identical.
Very good review, thank you. Nissan has vastly improved that Frontier, but I still prefer old reliable Tacoma. Can't beat the their realiability and resale value.
Nah.... I have an 08 mismo 6-speed Frontier just shy of 300,000 miles and it still pulls like a train with no issues at all over the last 10 years I see no reason to trade a frontier for a Tacoma
Love your review of these two trucks, great content that is well presented and concise. I have seen other reviews of these two trucks and yours is the best on TH-cam so far. I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro and you are spot on with your review of it. But I love the reputation and reliability of Toyota, also I love the Taco off road capability. Not to mention the complements from strangers on what a nice truck it is, like my neighbour who saw it when I just got it, she said what a sexy truck it is. LOL
I find the Nissan Frontier is much more comfortable all around . The Toyota is like sitting on the floor and a much tighter cab . I found during my test drives the Nissan had much more power style and comfort.
No gdi engine (frontier) for me anymore it gave me so much stress. that’s why I went for taco which has direct and port injector that would gives me a peace of mind in long run and i wouldn’t buy any first year of redesign cars or trucks.
Resale value isn't a factor for me because I keep my vehicles long term, it's not the end all be all! Also, to call the Tacoma a 'good value' is laughable. It is the most expensive truck to buy in the segment, by far. You have to judge by the market adjusted price, not the number on the sticker. Toyota dealers are notorious for not discounting Tacomas and I'm talking before the supply shortages. You can always find a good deal on a Frontier, even now. My last gripe with this review is your complaint about the new 3.8 V6 being a "new and untested" engine. Are you kidding? This is merely a minor update of the highly respected VQ engine family, which go back 20+ years. This engine is not only well tested, but it will likely be more reliable than the outgoing 4.0 due to the upgrades that were made. This reviewer seems uninformed and a bit biased.
Sorry I had a taco for 8 months and got rid of it. Worst pickup I ever had and I've been blessed to own them all. I live nissan trucks I have had 3 titan pro4x pickups they are pound for pound the best fullsized pick ups. I now have the frontier pro4x and it blows the taco out of the water on every level except tacos resale value whick I really dont get. I got the taco because of it reputation and how much people rave about them. Including family members. My father inlaw will only by tacos but the one he has now with way under 100,000 miles had to have the whole frame replaced because it rusted out and the truck literally bent in half between the bed and the cab. What a peace of garbage. I cracked the toy bed loading my firewood and the dealer told me the bed was indestructible, yea right. Couldn't even get to my wood piles in deep snow and never had that problem with my titans or my ram 1500. Taco what a joke Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. My new frontier pro4x ,rocks and is the real made in America by Americans truck. Thanks nissan keep building great trucks by Americans for Americans!!!
My 2017 Frontier SV blew a heater core at 5.5 yrs old, and 153K highway miles. Unacceptable. A wheel bearing too, but thats ok. Traded it in on a 2019 Taco TRD Pro with less than 40K miles. Won't go back to Nissan. Its a shame, we loved the truck, but love our Taco much more. A simple OTT or KDMax tune will take care of the drivability of the Taco.
The new Frontier is naturally aspirated but it's direct engine without a catch can so top end/valves are gonna get carbon crusted. Love my 2006 manual transmission frontier but screw the new Frontier.....Toyota wins.
@@Blue-moon12 How does a typical owner clean out the intake every 30,000 miles? I guess the easiest way is to use the boost hose and to blow cleaner through but most citizens will not bother to do this or be comfortable with doing it.
Wrong Toyota been the king of the hill for a long time they got lazy Nissan hungry traded off road Tacoma solid vehicle however doesycompare to frontier 4x pro in ride power amenities sorry no comparison
tacomta owners, such as myself, have a short memory. I'm in the market and I'm also leaning toward a tacoma. THIS AFTER WELDING SAFETY CAPS TO THE FRAME BECAUSE IT ROTTED OUT. Reliablity? Yes. The paint. the drive train. I LOVE the rust proof bed. But the VERY BONES OF THE TRUCK ITSELF betrayed thousands of owners, and Toyota had to be sued to make it right. Why am I still devoted to this truck? Because frame no withstanding (phew!!) it still drives like the day I baught it in 2007
I recently purchased same model pro4x luxury in boulder grey. I am worried about long term reliability of vq3.8dd engine. I have heard it is direct injection and not multi port fuel injection. I am worried about carbon buildup in cylinder heads and valves. I am thinking did I made the right decision and worried about the overall brand image of Nissan at the moment. few disappointments no lumbar support and no passenger side automatic seat adjustments. no wireless apple car play, no telescopic steering. few positives, great looks, comfortable seating, good fender sound, wireless charging, leather seats and sunroof. smooth 9 speed automatic transmission. Show less
I know I'm a little late but your truck actually does have lumbar support (only for the driver's side though), its a lever on the right side of the driver's seat
Nissan is one of the most preeminent builders of 6 cylinder engines on the planet. in a long line of 6 cylinders since the 50s they have NEVER had a bad design. Unlike every other manufacturer. This exact transmission is also in a V8 fullsize pickup. So it can be expected to last forever in a V6 mid size application.
I have a 2023 Pro 4x, I've owned several direct injection vehicles and there is nothing to worry about. Regular oil changes and clean out the intake every 20k to 30k you'll be fine. Or install an oil catch can.
I agree on resale I have a 2009 tocoma with 60000 miles ,garage kept I think it might be getting close to what I paid for it , if it does I might have to let it go.
Unlike many here, I am team Tacoma. To start, I have owned 3 small Toyota trucks since 1984, and i"m receiving 2022 Tacoma next week. In all my years of ownership, I have only replaced 1 water pump, and 1 A/C compressor. I have never had to tow, or have one not start when I needed it to. The first one was totaled at 10 years of age when someone t-boned my girlfriend at the time. The second was sold at 18 years of ownership due to a rusted frame (still got above KBB price). The third has been a faithful ride for 10 years, but has a ton of miles, and I want a new truck for my retirement. I want a Tacoma for the very reason the other commenters don't, and that is to feel like a truck. If I wanted a soft ride, I would buy a car. The Tacoma gives me good feedback of the terrain, or road, without sacrificing comfort. Also, I don't need the bleeding edge tech in a truck that is being used as a truck. I revel in the fact that Toyota places more effort on refining reliability, and ruggedness over the latest greatest, and in the end, that gives it better resale than most any other vehicle. In other words, you can drive it hard, maintain it, and it still offers more value when all said and done. Also, there are more aftermarket products for the Tacoma that will make it an original to you, and a super off roader if that is what you want. It literally has endless possibilities. Lastly, the sheer volume of Tacoma's that are sold is staggering, and that means Toyota sells as many Tacoma's as Rangers, Frontiers, and Colorado's together. Why? Because they want to invest in a real truck. On a side note, my truck is going for MSRP. I have a fantastic local Toyota dealer, and they are not exploiting the public like many others have.
I have had 4 nissan trucks and wife an xterra . For 25 to 30 years of as dependable use as you. I am slso considering retirement truck. I will stick with nissan and not sit on the floor like my buddy in his 2021 taco. He is totaily toyota for his long term sucess previoudly 30 year tacoma. My thing is the nissan costs 4 to 6 thousand less. We drive on camping trips and long rides. Sounds like for me the choice is clear......
@@larryfregin2859 Awesome, and congrats on the retirement. One note, in my area, there was no price increase to MSRP. So, I didn't have to consider that in a decision.
Where I live a Pro-4X is the same price as a TRD Sport. I went with the TRD Sport. I felt it actually drove nicer out of all the midsized and I drove all of them except the ranger.
Salut! I watched a thousand of videos! I could resumed it as Apples vs droids, I have owned 2 ridgelines and an odessey, Ijust traded my van for a Nissan 2023 pro x 4. why, because I had to many connectivity issues with my honda. is the Frontier less sophisticated? yes. but it is a fun truck to drive.the Toyota is not.that is why is traded myhonda for a Nissan!
If you want a city truck then get the nissan. If you want a trail off road truck that is bulletproof then get the Toyota with crawl control lets see a video with the frontier stuck all the way to the frame and get out by itself
Frontier is a much better looking truck inside and out. Ride is excellent and night time operation is also excellent. Tocoma are haigh and narrow looking.
NEVER EVER BUY A NISSAN. Toyota has the best selling car of all time, you don't think they put some of that same tech in the taco? Why would you be fooled especially with Nissan's track record, you guys keep buying these pos vehicles because it looks good at first then starts falling apart, I've had my Tacoma 8 years and my only maintenance is a cv bearing and cv axle.
Well Nissan Frontier is the Best, No Bells and Whistles, No Sugar Coatings, No sprinkles No Additives, No BULLSHIT! Nissan Frontier is a Truck. a Tool 🔧🔨🪚🪛🛠️⚙️⚒️🧰📐for the Hardworking Men. WHILE Toyota Tacoma is only a 🪀🧸 Toy for the Soy Boys! 🤣 That's the Difference between the 2.
Toyota’s quality has been going down hill for a couple years now. Toyota still likes to charge ridiculous prices for dated gutless uncomfortable truck. I’m buying the new Frontier. It’s a no brainer.
I have owned both trucks I believe Coma (toyota) I called coma because I believe toyota is in coma, with all the success as become some how complacido and satisfied so they don’t see the urgency nor the need for change don’t take me wrong toyota reliability is unquestionably #1 but the design department is on permanent vacation 🤠✌🏼or on sleeping 😴 pills 💊
I'm sure the next Tacoma upgrade will push it to be best in all areas. For now, I would pick the Frontier, especially if you keep your vehicles for 5 or more years.
First couple years of refreshes always have problems look at 2016/17. I think 2022 is a great year to buy because they ironed out all the kinks with 3rd gen. They drive great and the trannys feel the best out of all the midsized I drove which was all of them.
Watched the paint peel off two friends Mexican assembled Tacos as well as being in the shop constantly with transmission issues. No thanks Toyota. Quality is in their 4Runner and not in their over priced midsize truck. Way overrated and only stupid people would spend this kind of money on the Taco.
I'll tell ya, i've never seen a tacoma on the side of the road, .. but i have seen some corolas. And in 50 years of driving, i've never seen a frontier on the side of the road either, but have seen many other nissan products on the side of the road. I think they both put the best they have in those products, for good reason. You'll never see a tacoma or a frontieer on the side of the road. they are their premier products
Nissan should be thinking Toyota for lighting the way for design on a midsize pick up. One question to Nissan why don't you come up with your own ideas on a midsize pick up????

I’ve had a few tacomas like the look of them but the frontier is far nicer to drive , more comfortable and more power-speed
I just don't think everyone is made of money and comparing the top end trims is just not what I think people want to see ... I need to see a S model frontier vs SR Tacoma .... I looked at both and thats why I bought a frontier
Right; if you’re looking for a small truck, money is usually the first factor considered
The frontier needs a telescoping steering wheel period and blinkers on the mirrors. At that price it should be automatic.
Frontier disc brakes > Tacoma drum breaks. Frontier full ladder box frame > Tacoma C-frame. Frontier 310HP > Tacoma 278 HP. Frontier 9-speed trans > Tacoma 6-speed trans. 95% of truck buyers only needs 4H,4L,rear locker, hill descent & good shocks. Don't need those fancy technology gimmicks for off-road IMO.
The OLD Frontier is a better truck than a new Tacoma.
This!
Toyota uses rear drum because drums work/perform better in deep dirt and sand conditions
@@maximusmorphine2418 doubt it. Why don’t they use them on the Tundra? That’s what Toyota tells you. It’s because drums are cheaper.
Great comparison. I'd take frontier any day. Wish it offered a manual 🤫
Me too… test drove a pro4x today and loved it, but gutted to trade in my old 2013 stick shift!
Tacoma does lol.
@@alexgarcia3900 Wow! just checked their website, they do.
@@collinvaughn2040 and they hold their value like crazy. You pretty much have to order it though.
I prefer Tacoma
Nissan Frontier nice.
According to your first off thoughts and opinion, the Frontier never stood a chance.
I bought the Nissan Frontier glad I did.
Great job on comparing those 2 truks...Nissan is all atound better imo.
Literally just scheduled a test drive for the Tacoma and then saw this video pop up on my feeds 😂 🤔
Get the Frontier Im telling you
No gdi engine (frontier) for me anymore it gave me so much stress. that’s why I went for taco which has direct and port injector that would gives me a peace of mind in long run and i wouldn’t buy any first year of redesign cars or trucks.
Direct injection engines are fine. Regular oil changes and clean out the intake every 20k to 30k miles.
I’d like to know comparisons/reliability of suvs with third row seating. Best to buy.
Why don't companies have a smaller production line for a unibody truck with a larger bed ?
I bought my frontier pro4x loaded for msrp
My 2017 Frontier SV blew a heater core at 5.5 yrs old, and 153K highway miles. Unacceptable. A wheel bearing too, but thats ok. Traded it in on a 2019 Taco TRD Pro with less than 40K miles. Won't go back to Nissan. Its a shame, we loved the truck, but love our Taco much more. A simple OTT or KDMax tune will take care of the drivability of the Taco.
Nissan frontier for ever
Ridgeline unless they are overcharging like so many are!
The Ridgeline is an amazing truck but so hard to find right now
Honda raised the MSRP on Ridgelines from on 21-22 models almost 2k with very little to no change.
Even 5 year old ridgelines are going for new price. Can't find one much under 40k😔
The new Frontier is naturally aspirated but it's direct engine without a catch can so top end/valves are gonna get carbon crusted. Love my 2006 manual transmission frontier but screw the new Frontier.....Toyota wins.
Don't NEED a catch can. Regular oil changes and clean out the intake every 30k miles and they are fine. However, catch cans are a great option
@@Blue-moon12 How does a typical owner clean out the intake every 30,000 miles? I guess the easiest way is to use the boost hose and to blow cleaner through but most citizens will not bother to do this or be comfortable with doing it.
Better have a good resale value. Heck, you paid 6-8k over msrp on the taco 😂
Depends where you are. In Toronto, I helped a few of my clients get $750 below MSRP with no BS dealer fees.
The Tacoma is made in Mexico. Frontier made in Mississippi
What 'bout your top list of best reliable luxury SUVs.
Coming soon!
Toyota all the way !! I love my Tacoma 2022 Trd sport 4x4
I'm debating!!!!!!! But you say the toyota trd sport exactly the truck I'm looking for too!
Wrong Toyota been the king of the hill for a long time they got lazy Nissan hungry traded off road Tacoma solid vehicle however doesycompare to frontier 4x pro in ride power amenities sorry no comparison
Went with the Nissan. Just got a 2022
tacomta owners, such as myself, have a short memory.
I don't agree that the 3.8 is new and unproven. Also, the reason for change/ improvement was probably emissions based.
Nissan frontier have better seats more powerfull engine better frame its better in all aspects
@@Canadianbacon12 I've been driving my new Tacoma for a couple of months now, and it is a terrific ride for sure. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I give a point to the Toyota for still offering a manual transmission
What’s the best one for putting a dirt bike in the bed?
NEVER EVER BUY A NISSAN. Toyota has the best selling car of all time, you don't think they put some of that same tech in the taco? Why would you be fooled especially with Nissan's track record, you guys keep buying these pos vehicles because it looks good at first then starts falling apart, I've had my Tacoma 8 years and my only maintenance is a cv bearing and cv axle.
2 reasons I wouldn't buy a Frontier: Direct injection only, and plasma coated cylinder bores.
I love the Nissan frontier
Nissan, built in USA. Tacoma, built in Mexico.
2022 Tacoma with manual
Frontier!
Take the frontier everyday!
I would probably go for toyota tocoma
🌮 for ever
Well Nissan Frontier is the Best, No Bells and Whistles, No Sugar Coatings, No sprinkles No Additives, No BULLSHIT! Nissan Frontier is a Truck. a Tool 🔧🔨🪚🪛🛠️⚙️⚒️🧰📐for the Hardworking Men. WHILE Toyota Tacoma is only a 🪀🧸 Toy for the Soy Boys! 🤣 That's the Difference between the 2.
Lets hope Nissans direct injection only motor won't carbon up. Toyota has dual injection so won't have that problem.
Toyota has always kept the power down below the capability of the drivetrain, why they dont break!!!
I'd never buy a Nissan versus a Toyota.
I will buy the tacoma
I choose Toyota Tacoma
What's up with the engine cover ( piece by oil cap) being made out of styrofoam? Really? Can't afford plastic?
Because the environment is so important to me, I'm wondering which truck has the best catalytic converter and how does it compare to the Prius?
Then you should probably buy a Prius
FRONTIER!!!
Frontier
TACO all the way.....
Perhaps wait till the 23 Tacoma
I'm sure the next Tacoma upgrade will push it to be best in all areas. For now, I would pick the Frontier, especially if you keep your vehicles for 5 or more years.
First couple years of refreshes always have problems look at 2016/17. I think 2022 is a great year to buy because they ironed out all the kinks with 3rd gen. They drive great and the trannys feel the best out of all the midsized I drove which was all of them.
2023 tacoma is rumored to be eliminating the v6 and only offering a turbo charged 4 cylinder. I think ill pass.
@@claysmith2071 Me also - Boo to Toyota
Watched the paint peel off two friends Mexican assembled Tacos as well as being in the shop constantly with transmission issues. No thanks Toyota. Quality is in their 4Runner and not in their over priced midsize truck. Way overrated and only stupid people would spend this kind of money on the Taco.
I rather have a six speed transmission that hunts for gears than a Nissan transmission.
Nissan is ass. Tacoma 24/7, 7 days a week, 365 days/year. Not even comparable.
Your living off the pass, talking about the tacoma
