Various people on TH-cam keep predicting doom for Toyota because they are taking so long to come out with electric vehicles. But they are steadily improving their product line, and i see no major problems here. Hard to believe that a midsize truck is going to be around $50k out the door. I found a manual 2022.. I've been searching for a review like this..only issue is I think the dealership wants too much, especially since it has a lil bit of body work...they want $37 k an it has 12k miles

For goodness sakesToyota, your 20 to 25 year old compact trucks with a manual transmission and manual locking 4 wheel drives are selling for around $20,000, with a range of $17,000 to $27,000 with a lift. And these have over 200,000 miles on them and they still sell on the used market like hotcakes. That clearly indicates there's a strong market for them. Why not bring them back as brand new? I love manual transmissions and I WILL NOT buy anything that doesn't have one. Why in the world did you stop making those little trucks? The ones you make now are nice, but they're way too big. I don't want a double cab. I want the small compact truck that you made in the mid to late 90s and early to mid 2000s. Please bring them back!!!!

I have a ‘23 Pro MT on order…coming in a few weeks. IMO it’s the only way that you should buy a Tacoma.

Blindspots from poor outward visibility. Needs an 8' bed instead of access cab. Lower it 5" and it's a hot hot work truck.

My only concern is that these are now built in Mexico. Generally automobiles built in mexico don't have the same quality...

This truck is unstoppable in the mountains, and the manual transmission is sooo nice to have, but no rear disc brakes??? Whoever made that decision needs to be fired.

The manual is fast, anyone who is not concentrated while shifting he/she may have lots of difficulties.

Drum brakes are to prevent sand / outside elements from interfering the rear brakes when off roading.
