About 10 years ago, I had a dream about Samael that was incredibly intense and realistic. It’s a long story, but that dream had a very huge impact on my life... it was basically a warning that I needed to read the Bible so I could identify false idols (like Samael, who I was worshipping in my dream)... he went by Samiel (the ancient Hebrew pronunciation), but he looked just like he did in this picture, minus the wings and glowing eyes, but with dark gray robe, deformed hands, and long sharp claws. I didn’t even know anything about demons or angels back then. I only read about him a couple years ago and was blown away.

@Real Deal interesting....El seems to be singular for Elohim. In hebrew, adding the suffix (IM) makes masculine words plural in most cases. So Elohim by that logic seems to mean "many el". There is also another name for God in hebrew and it is eloah. So it seems the singular form would be El or eloah. And the plural form Elohim. I may be wrong but many many words in Hebrew become plural by adding the suffix IM. For example: king in Hebrew is Meleck. And kings is meleckim. Another example: brother is Ach. And brothers is AchIM.tree is Etz. Trees is Etzim. Since the jewish people lived in egypt for a long time....and moses was basically raised in egypt and learned there. And moses was credited for writing the first 5 books of the old Testament (also known as the pentateuch) it might make sense that moses might have been influenced by the egyptian religion which believed in many Gods. Like he altered Egyptian beliefs. In genesis it reads "in the beginning elohim created the heavens and the earth". By using the plural logic....it literally is saying , the GODS created the heaven and the earth. El seems to be just one God.

It is just by the plural logic....elohim seems to mean gods and since the whole Egyptian roots of Moses...some might believe moses was heavily influenced by Egyptian culture and beliefs. The whole video actually makes me think that, more than being "kinda evil", Samael is more like the type of ultrazealous servant of God. So much so that he goes: "Imma tempt and fight every single human just to get an excuse to condemn them and I can prove to God that none of them is actually worthy of Him".
To me, Samael is the hound of god. He is the manifestation of his wrath and the bane of the sinners. He tries to fulfill the purpuose of his master so much he is willing to chase men just to bring a present of his undying loyalty to god, just like some dogs kill birds or little animals and bring them to their owners as a "gift", but when they are reprehended the piss under a table or a piece of clothe because they feel betrayed.
It’s kind of interesting to think of Samael as like a perpetual test, or Red Cell. He’s on the side of the angels, but rather than standing with them, he tests them.
“Satan” in the past was plural. We think of satan as singular, the one known as lucifer. The book of Enoch lists the leaders of the fallen angels. I believe sameal is in that list.
Satan is a term that just means enemy or opposer. Lucifer also is a term that just means one who carries the light. Satan and Lucifer are not names but titles. The name is Sorat(greek word for sun demon with hebrew value of 666) it is pronounced sorry, just like you say when you have been bad.

He's morally ambiguous, so no one knows whose side he's on, but the part about him procreating with Lilith leaves me puzzled since he's mostly depicted as a skeleton, and the fact that the Angel of Death's union with her is said to be barren.

Samael seems to be a true trickster figure akin to Loki in the MC Universe, where he is neither entirely good or evil. It is also fitting that Jacob, a trickster himself, would be wrestling with Samael and leave him limbing when done; in other words, Jacob defeated his own trickstery nature and subsided it, gaining him the the name Israel, meaning "Wrestling with God (God's left hand specifically)".

I've always thought samael/Lucifer satan/devil as not necessarily evil by nature but the necessary evil needed to be the punisher and warden of the wicked in hell. Created as God intended, to be greatly powerful and to one day "defy" God and to be "cast out". It was really a promotion and being ordained as a demi-god with his own kingdom. "Satan" means "adversary". It's a title. So, any primary troublesome figure can technically be cast as "Satan". This however is a title that is usually reserved for individuals (or entities) that willingly committ crimes and wrongdoings.

I find all this myths absolutely amazing and I love how all the names give an obvious clue about the actual origin of the peoples of Israel, Canaan, Phoenicia and even the Arabs. The main deity of those people was called El, which names like Israel, Ismael, Samael, Gabriel and so on come from. Even the name Muslims give to God, Al-lah, comes from that name (after all, Arabic is a Semitic language), as well as Elias or Elijah. The most ancient Hebrew myths kind of merge with those of Canaan but the influence of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Akkad and Persia is very present too. The history of the Middle East and the Fertile Crescent and the myths and legends created there is really fascinating. Also it's incredible how well those myths explained the life of the people and how they told a very compelling story, so much so that the so-called Abrahamic religions are the ones with the most followers in the world even nowadays, thousands of years after those myths began to take shape.

I love how different peoples tell their stories and create myths to explain what happened around them, their history and traditions. Not only Jewish/Canaanite traditions but also Greek mythology, Roman, Etruscan, Nordic, Slavic, Indian, Egyptian, Persian, Babylonian, Akkadian...I love tales and stories about the origins of cultures. As a proud literature nerd I love to draw similarities between different stories and myths, analyze them and compare them to the facts we know. The human mind is amazing and we, as a species, have been able to imagine wonderful stories.

I have the image of 15:15 tattooed on my right arm. I thought I knew the story of Jacob and Esau well. My interpretation was that even though Jacob made many mistakes in his life, some kind of unforgivable, he asked God or “wrestled” with God to ask for His blessing. The story I’ve read here is about divine retribution in the form of karma, coming back to haunt Jacob for his past transgressions, in the form of Samael the Archangel, which makes sense as well. Still, for this human being to wrestle with God, or Samael the Archangel, and live, is a legendary story in and of itself. Great insight here in this video and I have a new profound concept of this idea.

Who were lovers at the time. So there 3 story's of the downfall of adem and eve. hmm i find so intersting that Samuel is route in so much mysterie. None of those text tells what is the final state of Samuel and it some sense there is a contradiction that is happening 1) He is an enemy of God 2) He is God justice 3) He is the angel of Death 4) He is the husband of Lilith 5) He want destruction for mankind 6) If God call upon him he will do God's bidding So the question remains is Samuel really an enemy of God or is Samuel a servant of God. Lucifer's Roman origins are buried, and as a result of the mistranslations of the King James Bible, his bright spark of that flash of brilliance, of realising the truth, is instead twisted to become the flames of Pride, something that while itself is rather necessary for development of any positive ego in a person, is ultimately classed as a sin, the greatest sin in fact. Without making a distinction between true pride or false pride. I can't imagine having the kind of relationship with a god that some of the patriarchs and prophets had with him. To know that when you pray to him, he actually hears and responds to you. Only in ancient religious stories do we see such relationships play out. It's as if those gods were very different from modern gods. From these accounts, god was as real to them as a human parent is to a child and the relationships equally fraught with fulfillment and disappointment.

About 10 years ago, I had a dream about Samael that was incredibly intense and realistic. It’s a long story, but that dream had a very huge impact on my life... it was basically a warning that I needed to read the Bible so I could identify false idols (like Samael, who I was worshipping in my dream)... he went by Samiel (the ancient Hebrew pronunciation), but he looked just like he did in this picture, minus the wings and glowing eyes, but with dark gray robe, deformed hands, and long sharp claws. @Real Deal interesting....El seems to be singular for Elohim. In hebrew, adding the suffix (IM) makes masculine words plural in most cases. So Elohim by that logic seems to mean "many el". There is also another name for God in hebrew and it is eloah.
So it seems the singular form would be El or eloah. And the plural form Elohim. I may be wrong but many many words in Hebrew become plural by adding the suffix IM. For example: king in Hebrew is Meleck. And kings is meleckim.
Another example: brother is Ach. And brothers is AchIM.tree is Etz. Trees is Etzim.
Since the jewish people lived in egypt for a long time....and moses was basically raised in egypt and learned there. And moses was credited for writing the first 5 books of the old Testament (also known as the pentateuch) it might make sense that moses might have been influenced by the egyptian religion which believed in many Gods. Like he altered Egyptian beliefs. In genesis it reads "in the beginning elohim created the heavens and the earth". By using the plural logic....it literally is saying , the GODS created the heaven and the earth. El seems to be just one God.

The whole video actually makes me think that, more than being "kinda evil", Samael is more like the type of ultrazealous servant of God. So much so that he goes: "Imma tempt and fight every single human just to get an excuse to condemn them and I can prove to God that none of them is actually worthy of Him".
To me, Samael is the hound of god. He is the manifestation of his wrath and the bane of the sinners. He tries to fulfill the purpuose of his master so much he is willing to chase men just to bring a present of his undying loyalty to god, just like some dogs kill birds or little animals and bring them to their owners as a "gift", but when they are reprehended the piss under a table or a piece of clothe because they feel betrayed.

“Satan” in the past was plural. We think of satan as singular, the one known as lucifer. The book of Enoch lists the leaders of the fallen angels. I believe sameal is in that list.
Satan is a term that just means enemy or opposer. Lucifer also is a term that just means one who carries the light. Satan and Lucifer are not names but titles. The name is Sorat(greek word for sun demon with hebrew value of 666) it is pronounced sorry, just like you say when you have been bad.
The Satan is little more than a Title I have seen more than one Angel acting as Satan in even just the last Decade... Don't fear him, as he will not harm those that do not go out of their way to harm others. Also many are easily tempted and we don't need outside forces for most to be tempted. He's morally ambiguous, so no one knows whose side he's on, but the part about him procreating with Lilith leaves me puzzled since he's mostly depicted as a skeleton, and the fact that the Angel of Death's union with her is said to be barren.

I've always thought samael/Lucifer satan/devil as not necessarily evil by nature but the necessary evil needed to be the punisher and warden of the wicked in hell. I have the image of 15:15 tattooed on my right arm. I thought I knew the story of Jacob and Esau well. My interpretation was that even though Jacob made many mistakes in his life, some kind of unforgivable, he asked God or “wrestled” with God to ask for His blessing. The story I’ve read here is about divine retribution in the form of karma, coming back to haunt Jacob for his past transgressions, in the form of Samael the Archangel, which makes sense as well. Still, for this human being to wrestle with God, or Samael the Archangel, and live, is a legendary story in and of itself. Great insight here in this video and I have a new profound concept of this idea.

Nephilim are something completely different. Some people think they are the offspring of Angel's and humans but those are called Raphiem. Nephilim means those whom from heaven to earth came, which is fallen Angel's imo.

I can't imagine having the kind of relationship with a god that some of the patriarchs and prophets had with him. To know that when you pray to him, he actually hears and responds to you. Only in ancient religious stories do we see such relationships play out. It's as if those gods were very different from modern gods. From these accounts, god was as real to them as a human parent is to a child and the relationships equally fraught with fulfillment and disappointment.
God hears my prayers and indeed responds to them all the time, He was then and still is NOW very real and absolutely responsive... That has honestly and truly been my experience. I'm not sure why others can't relate? I'm no one special in my eyes but apparently He thinks I am and if God listens and hears lil ol me how come others can not say for certain the same for themselves? I often think about this. I know for sure our relationship is solid, He makes it known...
I really got a kick out of this. So many characteristics of this angel reminds me so much of various Gemini's I have known and loved. Quick silver is one good term to describe them. They can be a charming, loving angel one day, and next a cruel calculating devil....all because it suite's them at that particular period of time.
