Of all the classic groups...3 6 mafia is the only one who is having their songs remade and their old beats used today. They have dozens of hit songs out now that are remakes of their old songs. No other group can say that. Not one
You did an amazing job here ! You should've mentioned the 2006 success "It's A Fight" from the Rocky Balboa OST, which came out at their very peak (they'd just won the Oscar) and the other thing that's good to know is that "Some Bodies Gonna Get It" (Mark Henry's WWE Entrance Theme) was the very first song that Paul & Juicy recorded after winning that Oscar (and it was the very 1st song without Crunchy Black...)
They perfected it. The sound was there and they came from competing in Memphis, not the national stage. Don't forget about DJ Squeaky and Tommy Wright III
They called that style back in the days “Chop rapping”, as in picture someone chopping something up, they do it part by part. While that sound is infamous with trap, in particular Migos really brought it out more in today’s music, that still isn’t what defines “Trap rap”. TI was one of the first rappers coming up that put so much on “The Trap” and other artists and they didn’t rap like 3-6.
