Lighthouse was my local fish and chip shop for the 6 years I lived in Wanstead. TBH as with most London F&C shops it’s pretty dreadful! The queues are massive on a Friday and my neighbours bloody love the place!!! I just don’t understand how it’s so hard to find people who can fry fish and potatoes properly in our nation’s capital!! 🤔
you have to have mushy peas when you have fish and chips..that;s what we have up in the north of england..warrington town to be precise!

Seems to me that the fish was cooked fresh. But the chips had maybe been sat in the ‘bin’ for a while, hence why they have no crunch etc
I thought that myself. I could tell the curry was terrible as well, it looked watery. you can’t really get fish and chips wrong can you. Maybe it was a bad day. You really want to be going at tea time when it’s packed. It’s worth a ten minute wait for chips to cook.
There's a chippy by me where they must warm the chips back u cause they're stupidly dry and hard.

Many chippies struggle to nail both fish and chips. Unless both are on point it makes for a terrible meal. If they do manage to nail both it can be very special indeed, especially with mushy peas 😋

Recommends from me, Mumford and Sons fish restaurant and takeaway in Grays, Essex for the best fish and chips I have ever had and The Regency Club in Queensbury London for the best lamb chops and Samosas you will ever try (including the rest of their menu), Gunpowder in Shoreditch also for the best Lamb Chops - but they are ridiculously expensive and not really in keeping with your channel I dont think

Exactly what I was thinking. If you say the fish is really good then giving it 3.9 is ridiculous. Chips are chips, they can be bad sometimes, they're not the main event, the fish is. The curry sauce is completely optional so forget that. If the fish was as good as he says it was then it's worth at least a 6.5 with a could do better for the chips. His scoring system is completely pointless, he just pulls whatever he feels like out of the air.
