@@mynotsohardwork3226hostage taker threw down hostage and tried to run when he is facing 4 policemen in front of him. If anything they could have shown how accurate the police were with targeting hostage taker’s head by giving one or two of them a red laser as a demonstration of accuracy

Impressive. They seem ready. However, if they are drills, shouldn't they be teaching the public how to react and not have an audience standing by. Preparedness training should be rooted in real life and in life, you don't have a bunch of administrators standing around. If they want to see it, film the exercise from various angles and let them review performances later.
1) not everyone has the free time to volunteer for exercise like these.
2) this Drill was more for PR, as a show for the members of the government. usually these terror attack drills don't happen at the airport in the morning, they happen at places like malls after hours(an airport is too busy 24/7 for them to conduct drills of this level). I was once involved with a drill that was using one of the two Cruise centers during my NS days(because no ships were expected there for a few days, so it was not in use)

I hope when the real situation happens, they are up to it. So far, already saw many videos where our men in blue are at a loss of what to do in a real situation. Like car entering Singapore illegally, airport tourist attack, housing estate attack, etc.

does this exercise really help in counter terrorism? I can understand the reasoning behind is at this exercise is trying to create realism into a situation. However, I personally think this wont be enough to counter such a treat whose actions would fluctuate depending on the situation.
