I'm planning to get a badboy4 (2017) for commuting to office. But say if I want to go for a long distance (100kms min) ride on weekends will this perform well ?
In my opinion and experience, having a more comfortable bike like this does not translate into efficiency for longer rides, and is fact less comfortable because of it. . I have used urban bikes on metric centuries before I bought my proper road bike and the difference is night and day. I worked HARD to maintain a 15 mph pace for 4 hours on a similar urban bike and then on my new road bike I maintained 18 mph with relative ease. The simple act of reducing your profile with drop bars makes you work less, therefore you are worn down less. For rides that are casual and 10 miles or less, I can't say enough good things about being upright, comfortable and able to see more but when you are going for distance it's just like the difference between running shoes and a comfortable pair of casual shoes.. sure it feels good but as soon as you start putting in the miles the difference is clear. If you want one bike to do it all, Cannondale has an aluminum Synapse (AL Sora) at just $200 more that has much more comfort than the average road bike of that range due to it's frame design but will feel great when doing the long stuff.
you've "eliminated" a weld for a clean seamless look ???? That WELD across the headtube looks like a home-made REPAIR. It's the ugliest weld hands down, on any bike regardless of price, including K-mart and Walmart bikes.

I do 100km on a 2019 bad boy2.
Nothing else to co.pare it to but once I start riding I don't stop until i hit the wall.
Visibility is a thing on the minds of most riders ....as they show a guy riding at night dressed in black.......
Tell that to a freshy delivering uber eats the menace of the pavements. Lights are an afterthought.

It`s a very smart way to make a bike visible at night. Paint it all black matte.
The decals are reflective. I would have liked proper lights tho that are rly visible… Outputting way more lumens…
