looks like LA is a real sh**thole
As awesome as that bridge is, I can't help but think that under-bridge a perfect future tent city.
Thanks for the cynicism.
It’s a park. You can’t live in parks anymore. Happy now?
💯
@@ES-hr6vg so where they going to put all the homeless?
It’s a given
Gorgeous bridge connecting LA ghettos
Exactly
This bridge will soon be iconic and in many commercials and movies.
Definitely!
That's what I told my kids as we drove on it last night. The city will rake in so much revenue off it. It was absolutely beautiful to be up there and celebrate.
This really is the first of its kind in LA in a WHILE. NY and Chicago are notorious for these public architecture spots but we don't have any new stuff like this in LA. So this is not only a welcome addition but a rare one. Thanks for sharing this video with the world, even if the LA River isn't that pretty 😏 one day!
No soon i bet its gonna be packed with tents and filth like a whole LA
LOS ANGELES
Really helpful. I'll be in LA next Monday. Adding this to the list.
Awesome Indy!
Hi Chris. Thanks for sharing a unique bridge. It would be wonderful if they set aside certain days for people to walk along the bridge to enjoy the city in a different way.
Thanks James!
TERMINATOR 2 was shot on this Los Angeles River Canal. The scene with the jumping truck and chasing John Connor on his motorcycle throughout the canal was incredible.
That was in Northridge.
We drove on it the first day and it was incredible to take in the sights and feeling of community.
Awesome Dee!
Great bridge for sideshows! 😌
o wow that is a amazing bridge
I think so too Stephen!
They did a great job with that bridge! It's really cool that they made it pedestrian free for opening day! The views of downtown LA look awesome from that bridge!
Do you mean vehicle free? ;)
@@gingercat7925 Lol, you're right! Not sure why I said pedestrian free!
After a couple “street takeovers” it already looks like crap.
I live 5 mins away from that bridge in Boyle heights. it’s nothing special just people hyping it up
aaaaaaand now it's closed. Great job, LA!
So nice LA finally built a new place for the homeless camps.
Now real big Americans can see how slum ghetto LA is full of poor addicts n homeless n gang n trash.
That's what I was thinking. They will love the shaded section. Can't have anything nice anymore.
@@anasun2362 Boyle Heights doesn’t love the crowd already so that’s extra 😅
@@anasun2362 can't have anything nice anymore? You have a home. Nuff said 🤷♂️
Been waiting for this to be finished. Pls keep us posted once the park underneath it is open.
Short cut to Skidrow awesome.
My family went to the grand opening celebration, now wish I went!
looks great! it's modern but no in an eyesore kind of way.
its just too bad that the homeless are eventually going to swoop in and ruin the beauty of it, especially when the park opens underneath it.
enjoy it while you can, folks!
You got that right. Working in DTLA for the past 30 years, the homeless is at all time high.
@@mecruzn transplants are the reason why there are homeless. not enough resources for everyone here in LA, someone has to live on the street.
@@thepositivelyfe8114 then, that would be…..You. Or, your family. Since everyone except native Americans are basically transplants. You or your family or your parents parents or whatnot.
And it will eventually be ruined by graffiti... unfortunately...
@@thepositivelyfe8114 no, its the failed policies of the government. There are no consequences for the toxic behaviors that lead to homlessness. Not to mention the countless policies that make housing inaccessible.
The gateway to the ghetto must be so proud 👏
I went this day And skated with the dtlask8cru and I agree about closing the bridge on occasions for pedestrians.
Former LA local here. Be mindful skidrow is closeby and I'm not trying to scare people from houseless neighbors however it can get very dangerous. Go during the day, if evening go with a group of people and don't randonly start walking outside of the arts district if you aren't familiar with the area. You will go from Oatmilk Latte to Lose your life in 1 block. Enjoy the bridge!
Informative video, Chris. I was there Saturday night for the big celebration. It was awesome! Bands, food trucks, vintage cars and low riders. And lots of people. I was told they would cut it off at 15,000, but I didn't see anyone counting the number of attendees.
Oh my god that looks so cool. That's it. I am moving to cali lol.
Also. Isn't Little Tokyo close to there?
yes it's just north of DTLA. it's not a huge area but it's a unique one that's worth exploring.
Yup! Little Tokyo is very close
Moving to Cali is a bad decision. Unless you love crime and harassment
I live here in LA unless you're rich you really wanna move to a place where taxes are high, living way up high gas forget it, homeless crisis and crime up due to soft on crime policies by elected idiots. Have you heard of the California Exodus??
@@Bswinevideo Enjoy your lack of culture, lack of nightlife, lack of seasoning on your food.... Kendrick said it best, we got the finest women, weed, and weather in the world too. Everywhere has its ups and downs.
This looks like one of the most dangerous bridges in LA as it's situated in-between two dangerous areas (unless of course you're looking to get your car stolen or want to get mugged). Geez, if I want that kind of excitement I'll visit the Tenderloin in San Francisco!
LMAOOOOOOO
Well do that or keep your scary ass in the house!
Feels awesome to have you in East Los 🙌🏼
Right on Gumer!

Amazing view and sound in Los Angeles! I can never get enough from the views of Los Angeles, A great city tour :) New subscriber is here from the Philippines ❤💚
Thanks for the sub!
Great Work
I love your video. Born an raised in EAST LOS. but sadly it won't last looking like this. I seen this happened all the time. ..taggers an encampment here they come. I will visit it this week .. your video is great 👍👏
Thanks Maggie!
They announced that they'll have security for this bridge and homeless infestations are not gonna be allowed or people living in the bridge. Hopefully is true
Can't wait to drive on the bridge
6th street Bridge . Gateway to Heaven or Hell 💥
Thank you for this video!!! Thank you !! I didn't know it was finish!!!
My pleasure Jerry!
Great video! LA
Thank you for sharing this video. Be nice if the bridge had also been designed for outdoor concerts of major music events.
Wow 😮 awesome.
Sure,it looks great now.I'll give it 30 days till it's covered in graffiti and filth.I love LA!
Weird take, graffiti is part of our culture. It's never going away, ever.
Your writing’s comes across to me as if it’s a positive thing. What’s your take?
All I can think of our gangs and tigers when I see graffiti…
And the embarrassing shameless ugly American export to the rest of the world.
Do not confuse find mural artists with taggers.
@@claudiomarangone614 I understand your dislikes, I don't think we have one without the other. I was born and raised here so they all make up the city to me. Just like the homeless, there's such disparity ( over the top "riches") in LA, how could the opposite of the spectrum not exist? I've seen Bentley's next to tents, that's our makeup. Rich immigrants, poor natives, empty downtown complexes, empty mansions, a true metropolis, lol
I wish it was a utopia brother, but the homeless guy at the Crenshaw entrance of the 10 freeway makes some of the most thought provoking art you'll ever see.
You were right
@@KevinPorche7 what a shity culture, we don't deserve anything nice
It was wonderful!
Great idea for pedi days. Golden Gate park does that. Regardless of what people think LA can be a fun walking town, just need to leave the attitude at home. Thanks for the vid. C U on the next one...
It already has walking paths.
Real cool Chris
Homeless will love it
Awesome Chris :) thanks for the video
My pleasure!
That's great idea, maybe one Sunday a month they can close it off for pedestrians, bicycles or even street food vending
Beautiful bridge Love L A
I’m also a new sub too that bridge is wholesome
Welcome to Yellow Productions!
Look at how clean and nice it was... Before the graffiti and the tire track marks and before the homeless moved in. Enjoy this video, it will never look like this again.
Probably true.
TOP!
In Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, there's a boulevard called the Malecon runs along the shoreline. On Sundays, part of it is closed to traffic and it becomes a seaside urban park -- food vendors, street soccer and basketball games, music, artists selling their work. Couples, families come out and stroll, kids play and skate, couples flirt. It's a great time. The new 6th Street Viaduct would be ideal for that.
No
You definitely don’t want to park your car in Boyle heights 😂
Exactly! All these new white people and hippies think it’s all good and dandy. East LA is the Hispanic version of South Central and Boyle heights the Hispanic Compton
How long for homeless tents, graffiti, and old homeless RVs to be along the beautiful bridge? 1 week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks? Welcome To Los Angeles
The camping capital of USA
Thursday
It's already happening
You thought it would take a week? Lol
Very Cool! Thanks!
You bet!
Awesome place I need to go to LA
Go to Miami instead. Gavin Newsom sucks. I use to live there. I’d stay away.
@@Bswinevideo I've already been to Miami I actually lived in Florida for about 20 something years But I take your word for it about Gavin Newsome
@@Hicks-g1m 💯
beautiful! infrastructure well done...
Forget the car thing, they should let this stay a walking experience, build cafes, restaurants and museums and let old california car displays like they showed come on diff times, interactive shit on that bridge. We have enough traffic and cars all over the roads we don't have enough places for people to walk and see actual city views from a pedestrian experience.
Amen Carl!
Hopefully
Hi! Where do you suggest I park if I’m starting my journey on Boyle heights side?
Thanks!
Park in a neighboring state that's better than CA.
I just saw the newest German in Venice TH-cam that dropped a few hours ago, with filming of this viaduct from last night.
This is why we can't have nice things. :(
Wow this took almost a decade I remember that when we saw this first time I was 5 yrs or 6 yrs old and some construction were made during this time when we past the area
can't believe its been 7 months already. 7 months later, ghetto as people have done donut wheels on it, crashed, vandalized etc see this is why we can't have any nice things.
Sad indeed
This video is like Pravda at this point.
Great video, beautiful place (not the river). They could use it like a "street with food" (those van's who prepare food could park there) every Sunday...people will love it.
Thanks Gilberto! Yes. Food trucks on the bridge would be neat!
The river could easily be beautified by removing the cement and letting trees grow as they would naturally.
@@YellowProductions Food trucks is the name I was searching! My family and I already missing California...
Yay bringe the ghetto style to the bridge

Amazing bridge!
Thanks for your videos. I just found your channel. I am here in Valencia, but is not visiting LA much due to the last Pandemic news. I will try to go next time maybe. God bless 🙏 🌹
Welcome to Yellow Productions!
Noted for my incoming trip to LA in two months !
I never knew Mexicans were so into architecture until..... 6th St. MoFo Bridge! 😇
Yes close it every Sunday for pedestrians.
Hell no
as somone who has never been to USA it reminds me of Grand thief auto V
I hear that about alot of my Los Angeles videos :)
it was in GTA San Andreas too. Rockstar loves that bridge it seems
How about checking out downtown Milwaukee?
Beautifull bridge! I am wondering why they don’t use more “Placemaking”. Make a place a better place. Maybe it could be an area with more functions 24/7. Like a sportlocation, bicycle maker, streeft food etc. Just to make it a happy place for everybody and you will avoid crime.
The bridge is cool but hopefully they don’t knock down the other bridge!! The bridge is what makes LA look even doper! A lot of cities ruin their own history!
Nice man. Curious, what neighborhood will claim this bridge?
Tres puntos ese!!!!
@@brownjatt21 hahahahah
Its a bridge, only a bridge but after this video the most famous bridge in LA. Thank you and greetings
Thanks Carmen :)
Probably the most tagged up now.🤣😂
Chris always does a fantastic job on his travel videos. He is a man of the people.
@@562Omar Awww.
Hey I was there too!
Neat!
"Let's go ruin the bridge. " - (you know who.) 😂
"It ain't pretty, but it's famous" describes LA perfectly
Lots of actual Boyle Heights residents didn’t know about the opening, nor were they allowed in once they found out. Hopefully moving forward it’ll be accessible to all not just the arts district folks. Also, very irresponsible of you to inform viewers to park in Boyle heights and then venture into the Arts district via the bridge, why burden the residents with already difficult parking situation?
🤔 wow
This is a lie. My friend from Boyle Heights is the one who told me to go with them. Stop creating non-sense. The only reason People would not know it if if they don't have a phone.
The ticketed event was probably full of arrogant gentrifying hipsters
@@iwantsteakee807 I live in Boyle Heights, I found pretty late was still able to get tickets. I own a phone. I didn’t say all residents were turned away, I said a lot of familiar faces were. Towards the end of the even they were let in. Majority of people I witnessed there, were you know … it’s all good the bridge is beautiful.
@@r9molina1 okay it’s their city as well lmao stop acting like y’all own the place

Don’t leave your car in Boyle heights unless you want it broken into
10 days later and the thugs and gangs have taken the bridge over.
I’d rather LA invest in fighting homelessness by building a homeless shelter rather than a bridge
LA already puts money into the homeless problem. its a sink hole, it only gets worse.
a building isnt going to house all of them. even if they use up the entire block of skid row
Thats what the bridge is for no?
@@bread1266 more nice place for poor n homeless to live.
I also think this bridge is a waste of money. what does it accomplish?
The street vendors didn't waste any time!
It's kind of beautiful!!
Cant wait to see daredevils skate and rode a bike on the top of it.. looks perfect for them
Who designed the bridge, Ronald McD???!!
LA 🇺🇸❤️
To be fair, there should be an opening day for the homeless so they can scope out their future homestead, and an opening day for taggers so that they figure out how to get to the hard to reach spots, and an opening day for the thieves, robbers, and muggers so that they can preview the best hiding spots to prey on their victims.
🤣🤣🤣
He did it all for them in this video. They can work remote now. Gotta love the internet
Better living thru technology.
Someone has probably already graffitied the bridge!
They have. They did a report on the news about how people are already vandalizing the bridge.
Is it still closed?
Who wants to go to la anymore 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️☀️
Nice 👍
Thanks panjo!
I know people in foreign countries like Myanmar and Bangladesh that refuse to visit the US because of the amount of homeless people in Los Angeles. It's so obvious Los Angeles is in a state of disrepair that people in 3rd world countries know about it.
I have been working in LA for 30 years, at present, the homeless rate is at an all time high. I park across the street from where I work but always look over my shoulder to make sure they don’t fuck with me. I carry stun gun and pepper spray just in case. A homeless person attacked a person with metal pipe just this past weekend. LA is shitsville.
This bridge has become a testament of how Los Angelinos live in a circus, be careful not to get hit by a car during one of the sideshows!
0:44 Check out this view over an industrial wasteland and a dried up polluted river, wow, amazing!
I will never understand why people love LA.
I used to lived in LA for 45 yrs untul 2017, l would park my car on the West side in the arts district instead of the East side Boyle Heights side. Just my recommendation from experience, lol
Thanks for the tip M :)
How long before it’s graffitied up?
It was built on top of a hell dumpster fire 🔥 😂
Cheering a glorified slab of concrete….a “bridge” thad crosses a pee stream of a river. I’ve seen it all.
Sorry to go negative on what seems to be a beautiful addition to LA, BUT, can’t help but wonder about the degree of infestation (tents and human filth) two weeks into it.
Yea once that parks built down below....
