What a coincidence, i googled "The Trickster Mark Hammil" because i started to remember the 90s show, and this video released 25 minutes ago came out. I'm not complaining :)
I thought it was funny that they brought Hamil on to play a Joker-like character after he'd been the voice of the Joker for decades, only to discover that he'd also been voicing the Trickster for decades.
I definitely agree about how good his performances are and think he doesn't get enough credit. I also agree that his first go as the Trickster didn't catch me, but for me it was from disliking how different he was from the comic villain (a favorite of mine at that time) and still not being able to stop seeing Luke. But thanks to that performance it opened me up to accepting him as other parts. I also can 't help but see his partner as possibly influencing Harley Quinn's creation, but I might be way off on that.
Harley Quinn's first appearance was in 1992 (just one year after this Flash episode aired). So it's quite possible! I hadn't thought of that before. Thanks
Ivan E yeah sorry he's not comic accurate, i get that, the comic version is good too, I doubt it but would you say the version from Justice League show is comic accurate? But he's such a highlight.
Ivan E I see the Hamill Trickster James Jesse as a different character to the comic James Jesse. And I only care about him because him and Ragdoll are the only good villains on the show consistently. 11:52 is this trickster in JLA accurate to the comic version or too exaggerated?
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 Visually, other than looking young and having wilder hair this cartoon one looks like him, but I guess the big difference with the live action portrayals and the comic character ( at least the one from when I collected his series, the Silver and Bronze Age eras) is that he was never shown as crazy or comical, mostly just gimmicky; he didn't have much by way of personality to distinguish himself actually. But these modern performances certainly are more zany and even scary (in a Joker-lite kinda way) and I bet more memorable to fans.
Fun fact: There was one person they considered to voice the Joker in Batman TAS before Mark Hamill. Tim Curry was chosen because of his performance as Pennywise the Clown, but was turned down due to the directors finding his voice as being too scary and not clown enough.
Really? I heard Tim Curry was considered to play the Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film, but I never heard that he was considered to do the voice in the animation.
All Mark has to do now is play the Joker in live action. If he does, he’d be the only actor to’ve played two different characters who’re based off of each other in animation, games, and live action formats.

Additionally, Barry discovers that his father Henry's mother's maiden name was Garrick. Then at the very end of the season, Barry discovers that his father's doppelganger of Earth 3 is a speedster with a different name: Jay Garrick (so for some reason, on Earth 3, his father's doppelganger took the last name of his mother instead of his father, and was given a different first name). Note: This was a change in story from the comics. In the comics, Henry Allen and Jay Garrick are NOT doppelgangers... Additionally, much later in Season 5, Barry met another speedster named Barry Allen (from Earth 90) who looks exactly like his father (and is the same character of the 1990 show, in continuity with that show). He was referred to as the "Earth 90 Flash." It was never confirmed if this Earth 90 Barry Allen was a doppelganger of Earth 1's Henry Allen, or if the fact that they look the same is simply coincidental... Okay. Did that make any sense?

It only takes a couple months to grow a beard, something you obviously know nothing about🤣 good video though!
I've had beards - just not as long as Hamill's in the Last Jedi. Thanks, though. I'm glad you liked the video.
You had the joker and made him the watered down shitty flash villan trickster. old bored joker looking for a new game with the bat missing would have been so much better
Joker vs the Flash?
@@Joelikesmoviesnstuff it's happened before in a comic surely
@@kerrydouce9200 I would be amazed if it hasn't.
