I felt for Russell in this exchange, and it showed the lack of insight or depth to some people in the face of tangible evidence. Also his demeaning nature towards Russell in his search of something greater than drugs and pu**y. What a waste of an opportunity to have that level of depth in front of you and just laugh back with no substance. It was similar to an overgrown adolescent with no maturity who only response is so what. Noit to.mention the structure of the interview is he basically gets wasted and incoherent for the second half. This man showed how out of touch, privileged and nieve he is. Its not even like he makes an attempt to disect or understand. He comes across so ignorant it almost appears to be a character or satire which is the greatest insult and condemnation of his stupidity.

I didn’t realize how immature Bill is: shows you can be smart but still not wise. Russell Brand has moved beyond hedonism, which it appears that Bill has not, into something waaaay more meaningful. I’m really happy for him. I hope I’m on that path too.

So nice of you calling it immaturity, l'm shocked with his stu**dity to the poit of unreformed. Drastically disclosed. All his lates guess are unbelievably smarter including Rosanne. Oliver Stone was almost annoyed with Bill's lack of simple knowledge.

I love when Russell is on a talk show and he really lets jokes rip in between his incredible mastery of the English language. It's really fun and entertaining to watch.
But it is really cool just hearing him slow down in this relaxed format, even more so than on his podcast.

And the greatest part about it is how he wasn't always like this. 15-20 years ago he was kind of a hot mess (a phrase I'd almost never use to describe a guy). And Maher wonders why you'd bother with all of that painful self inquiry; the answer is literally sitting right in front of you, Bill!

So many sad Bill hating trolls leaving comments. 😢 I’m a big fan of both Bill and Russell. And this podcast takes on many shapes for each episode based mostly on the guest and their agenda and point of view. And Bill offers a fun and easy way to talk. Trolls, get your heads out of your asses. In this episode more than most others, I am so impressed at how clear and perfectly articulate Russell is in every word he says. His clarity of thought and ability to express it is remarkable. I do agree with some of you trolls that Bill should have delayed smoking or drinking to keep up. A conversation with RB requires full focus and undivided attention. A great example of people with different points of view having a conversation. Bravo.

I stopped because it became a bigger chore than just living straight...I'm now happy we'll as happy as 1 gets anyway ..looking back on that life now some parts were fun but as a whole it was a dark pit of misery that I was self inflicting on myself trying to numb myself from all of life's ups and downs...I don't regret a single second including the felony I caught because that is what set me free from the grip of the needle
