It was interesting watching the learning curve. It took me a while to figure out how to adjust the arc as well. The normal inclination would be to squeeze the two ends of one spring to loosen and adjust, kind of like spring clamps on the end of a dumbbell. All that is needed is to pull (not push) one end of any part of the spring.
So I was sitting here for 5 minutes watching you try to adjust it while it was on side stripe and I was saying “LIFT UP THE PIÑ ON THE BACK AND MOVE IT IN BETWEEN THE TWO THINGS YOU CAN MOVE” 😅 I saw that immediately when I powered mine up to adjust it 😂
Wait, I just realized, on rainbird's website, it said not to use the side inlet in freezing conditions. You might want to use a 1/2 inch riser upside-down on the bottom inlet to drain the water.
a nozzle with a shorter distance...LOL...turn the diffuser...doink!!!!!!!!!! quite hitting your fence..unless you want to replace it too in no time....
One should read the instructions on the box before installing. The lever hanging down hitting the stops can be pulled up to get passed the stops, plus the stops can be adjusted from side to side. You also have a nozzle adjustment screw next to the tip of the water sprayer. It will adjust the spray coming out, from long to short. These last a very long time. Plus I didn't see in your video as to weather or not you put the plug from the side entrance for the water into the bottom hole.
I got one and it throws about 3 gallons per minute. Reading the instructions is very important. My neighbors had two of them mounted on PVC with a water hose attachment, they moved and put it in the trash pile , I use it instead of my sprinkler system.
Hi People. We have just moved in to a house that has two massive tanks full of water and no seeming way of using it!!! I am assuming that the outlets we have around the garden saying Rain Bird Maxi Paw have something to do with it. How do we turn it on?? We have opened the valve to the tank and turned the pump , but nothing happens. Is there a secret switch or button somewhere? Help. : ) Nicole
+Ben Walters "Insert the arc adjustment side (the plastic, not metal side) of the tool into the slot on the top that has a "+" on one side and a "-" on the other. To decrease, turn towards the "-". To increase, turn toward the "+" is what I would say.
I absolutely am in love with a Maxi-Paw!

7 years late, but just in case someone reads your comment... Had a side install on some maxi paws for almost 2 decades and no problems.
The Buckner sprinkler is from 1964
You're killing me smalls!!
to all concerned, I still have the Buckner one. I'm gonna wash all the dirt off of it and yes, I am gonna keep it.
I wish you had told us what those extra parts are called. This is something I need to do--exactly.
They were orbit flexible risers.
I am all for your trying but seriously, I got more out of reading the sticker on the bird .. Maybe you should have done that before you did the video.

It sometimes happens when the arc is not set correctly
That Buckner rotor is extremely rare to find I hope you didn't trash it.
Andrew 94 He kept it.
I have a very similar one in my backyard but it's a Mini-Paw.
6:42 & 6:45 the arm is hitting you!
Did you read the manual?
Shayne Waite Nope, just screwed around with it until I figured it out :D
Lol
Where did you get you Buckner ball drive rotor?
HappyJigg I'm not sure where it came from, it was in the system when we moved into the house. I did keep it though.
ok
How much PSI or bar pressure is going to your sprinkler?
Pretty disappointed you didn't put the GP on the top of the sprinkler.
Sounds so enthusiastic 🙄 ah ah yeah ooo that's really good, oh yeah its really tight mmmm "I think we're good" oh yeah

Justin Rubio there should be a control box for you to set. If not you could contact the person who sold you the house.
Great technique with CC
How much prise sir
Tekiu for rain bird maxi paw
Tolong setip jenis seprinkel di sertai harga untuk yg berniat beli
omg, sorry dude, but it was painful watching you try to figure out the trips.
Try to explain how to adjust the arc on both a Hunter PGP and A Rain Bird 5000 to someone over the phone or in writing. Now that's painful
+envidjunkie lol yeah I had no idea what I was doing xD

+Sam Nudge it is really that simple, but because the PGP adjusts the left side and the 5000 adjusts the right side, it confuses them.
Glad you figured it out though.
I love this video I’ve probably watched it 100 times👍👍👍🤑🤑👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are kidding me tight it with a wrench you shuld put a rotor in thay clog up
