Not even gonna rip on Phil here, these were the greatest days of televised poker. Now we have NPC players and pokergo. Even if you absolutely hate Hellmuth no one ever made better tv with a deck of 52 and that is an undisputed fact.
I love Phill Hellmuth's passion for the game. I'm a fan personally. His outbursts are ALL about how engaged he is with poker. I doubt you can find anyone who loves poker as passionately and wholeheartedly as him. He gets a bad rep and people seem to love to see him fail and feel bad which sucks, I think. But goddamn, he's GREAT for all things poker: TV personality, the bravado makes it interesting, his skill on a different level. Tony G is funny but a complete douchebag. I wouldn't want to be friends with him, but Phil? Hell yeah, seems like a cool guy to hang out with and he's a good guy despite being high on himself in terms of poker. But the latter I think is mainly due to how much he loves poker, him not being at the top for something he cares so deeply about is an insult to him.

It's a lot of bad calls and bets. With the editing, we don't see all the hands folded and the low action hands because it's not good TV entertainment. @@GAYMERLEW 2011 the big game season 2
@Seen TV, @Arthur Galimullin The hand starts at 1:44:50
I forget who said it but this is one of my favourite quotes about Phil Hellmuth:
"Phil Hellmuth is one of the greatest poker players of all time and if you only ever watched clips of him on TH-cam you've never seen him win a hand."
No one said that. You saw the top comment
@@mrearl8952 this comment is on every hellmuth video
Because morons of the game love to see him lose! You never see his brilliance of the game!
@mrearl you asserted yourself so confidently too.
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994 isn't that my point?
This is the best video put together I've watched
Looking back on these, he sure playe like shit in a lot of hands, and a lot of his blowups and bitching wasn't justified at all
@@T3n50r Phil is a legend, they were acting obnoxious as fuck. Made great TV but not the atmosphere Phil is used to. They were doing way too much comedy and he just wanted to win.
@@lulspintheblock As much calm as Phil is, imagine if they allowed to have a gun at these tables. It gives a whole new meaning to guns don’t kill people.
@@lulspintheblock Honestly if your the one getting bullied at a poker table and everyone's gaining up on you it's because there intimidated by you. Unfortunately Phil let them win back then by letting them get in his head. Whether they were doing it on purpose or not, they did it cuz they knew that's there best chance to beat him. Looking back he should take all the bullying as a compliment...even tho I've seen him do quite some bullying himself.
Doyle giggling after Tony's completely random "you're a disgrace to the game" might just be my favourite thing ever.
favorite part for sure lmao
As Phil laughs with his 14 bracelets.
@@howcroft22 Relax fanboy, the entire reason he gets needled is because he's good an everyone knows it. It's the same reason they don't needle the cannons for bad reads.

The look on Hellmuth's face when Wiggins won 75% of that pot was priceless!😁
Yeah he was real proud of himself when he talked the cannon into running it 4 times with 2 likely outs.
I love how Phil reads their hands and still calls them. Does what a true calling station does.

Phil Hellmuth is always a masterclass in entertainment. His passion and fire at the table are unmatched! I like Phil. You need players like him or it would be boring.
he's super annoying
Only when he's getting owned. Which is often.

Phil makes his own bad luck. I loved watching these on TV. Negreanu taking every opportunity to wind Phil up. Great stuff.

24:30 that is legitimately incredible that Daniel knew what cards Phil had.
funny how daniel gets everyone gossiping, all bubbly like him
Hes like a computer. Prahlad is a GREAT player, and he was way off on what he thought Phil had. Daniel remembered how Phil played a previous hand or two preflop, and nailed what he had.
Genius.

@@richardthomas1566 I mean everyone speculates what hand other players have. That's a huge part of the game.

Pure entertainment
Hahaha this is gold. At a certain point, I started feeling bad for Phil. He was literally getting the worst draws of his life
It’s mostly filled with horrible calls
he also gets lucky a lot
It's a lot of bad calls and bets. With the editing, we don't see all the hands folded and the low action hands because it's not good TV entertainment.
If you rely on the draw of the cards to win, you will get lucky and win at pretty much the same rate that you get bad beaten with the way the odds work. The aim of poker is to make your opponent fold so you always win without needing the luck of the draw.
I could watch these all day! Sadly his reactions are how I feel in my head but would never have the balls to do outloud!
