Very cool, it’s amazing how far these boats have comes since the 90’s.
Well, I've only just got back into the hobby and exploring all sorts of RC and I love all of them! Ya, back then boats were super expensive and all were nitro-powered, the only ones I knew then were Kyoshos.
Hi love the video. Very informative. I started out with a SR65 brushless, then moved on to Volantex's SR85 catamaran. SR65 runs great still, had issues with SR85 cat cracking and leaking in places. So I moved on to ProBoats. Volantex mono hulls work ok but they need to improve their catamaran. I have a ProBoat Veles V2 now and a ProBoat Miss Geico V2. Amazing boats! I still would like a mono hull maybe the Sonicwake or Impulse next. Enjoy your boat I know that Volantex model will be good, have fun. :) Also I don't get why non pro is faster, maybe it's lighter with part plastic parts ? And the non pro has a reverse function, I don't think the pro has that. I'm thinking of trying the SR85 catamaran's 80A speed controller and putting it into the SR65.
you play on sea water ? dosent it will rusty the part even faster?
@@shafiqaiman8199 no bro it’s reservoir so it’s “fresh” water. I did, however, ran it in the sea and so far everything is still ok. No rust!
@@uncleraymond I see , may I know what the maintenance and cost ?
@@shafiqaiman8199 really depends on personal habits bro. Cos I don’t really maintain or service it regularly but I’m think won’t cost much. Maybe just need to apply some marine grease on the shaft, which will cost you a few dollars only.
Just chance upon your video. The boat will self-right itself. You need not have to throttle to create torque roll. What I notice is you placed the battery in the wrong location.
@@ongkimchoon7383 thanks for the tip. I’ll try different battery location next time. It’s been a while since I went on the water with this boat though…
