I just received my SR80 and the piece that connects the rudder to the servo wire was broken. I replaced it with the metal parts. I ran it on 2200mah 4s and the speed was not impressive but was super smooth great boat. Ive seen some people running 6s on stock esc&motor without issue.

Just received my SR80 Pro yesterday. Tested this little beast this morning with 4S & everything stock except that I split the water cooling going through the motor & motor controller. GPS logged 95.4km/h max speed.

@@MrMad2424 I think you are using the revolectrix 4s 5000 mahs. I’m thinking about going with the SMC 5200 Graphenes or 5200 DVs. The DVs get VERY hot when I run them down past 3.8 to around 3.65 in my soniceake, but maybe any battery would do that.

Yo buddy. Remember, you have to turn on the transmitter first and then connect to the battery. But if you power on a boat first it will cause damage for the receive, so better trun on the remote first.
And you finnish playing rc, you have to pull the plug battery first and then turn off a remote.

Iv got this but o want all the metal parts that the pros got but can’t find them anywhere
The pros metal prop is 5mm shaft. Horrible. Hardly no props fit in US cause 3/16 is the preferred size here. Try www.offshoreelectrics.com and you can get metal rudder that should work. Also a sleeve adapter that will convert the 4mm prop shaft to 3/16 and you can run several props that way.

Random but what type of clear tape did you use? Looks stronger than regular packaging tape.
Hockey tape. You can get it at most sports stores like dicks or local skate stores.

But how did u fit the dashbota prop when the stock prop has a larger bore.
i used an adapter sleeve aka piece of brass tubing, or you can run a couple rounds of teflon/pvc tape around the prop shaft to make up the difference.
This is the non pro version of the sr48 it had a 4mm prop shaft. the pro version has a 5mm prop shaft. For my 4mm shaft i used an adapter sleeve that went over the prop shaft and it made it where my 3/16 props would fit it properly.

i really like the Veles 29" Brushless Catamaran RTR not sure what the pros and cons are between the two
@@electric_meadows_racing Veles is a great boat but it's around $400.00 that's why i didn't mention it. As for as quiet these boats are fast electric and are designed to run wide open throttle because the motors are water cooled. So they really aren't made for sneaking up on anything.
Hey Mr. Mad- What are the run times like with a 4S 5000 mah set up? BTW- I always mix in full throttle, half throttle and quarter throttle so my boats can cool down.
You could probably get 7-8 min on and off the throttle.

Geico 36? 6s? 1900 kv range. The Tp motors pull mega amps so you'll prolly have to upgrade esc also.

I'm considering this for my first boat. Definitely not my first rc though. Do you think there's going to be plenty of replacement parts for this? So far hasn't seem pretty reliable? I was looking at the Sonic wake 36 of course it's a little bit bigger and also seems like it it's from a bigger reputable company so I'm just curious if buying this one that cost less would be better and adding the money I saved from the Sonic wake to this boat. I've been looking at both what's the difference in this one and the sr-85 pro they look identical but color
things come and go all the time but the boat consist of a hull and motor and esc...motors and esc's are available lots of places. This boat is better than the sr85 pro
