    Agree - family should not be involved in a charity, where they can benefit financially.

    It would have been better to give £16000 to the charity and kept £2000. But personally I would have given the whole to charity.

      @@MrDavey2010Yes it was, she reached out to all channels for exposure as it was originally for £1k but it spiralled out of control and she and hubby, jumped on the bandwagon and knew exactly what they were up to due to greed, all greed and making money for their no income business during the pandemic which also was a big con!

    ‘The family felt really bad about it…..’
    So bad that they hung on to all the money that they took and then had the nerve to build a spa, without planning permission, and falsely claiming it was for a charitable purpose - LIARS!!
    Tom would be turning in his grave with shame if he knew what they had done.

    I believe that this will turn out to be a bit of an own goal for the family.
    Myself like many others knew a little of what was going regarding this story of creaming off the funds etc however after tonight many many more will learn a lot more & from the little section you’ve shown it doesn’t look good & I think the fallout for the family & the charity is going to be massive!

    I don't believe there's a charity out there, that doesn't have a highly paid boss that takes more money that they need. I won't give money to charity organisations because it goes on wages and advertising rather than the people who need to benefit from it.

    • @barbaraperry6201

      I get your point, I do - the money is meant for the service-users. Hundreds of volunteers give their valuable free time and humanity in delivering the charitable services. But they are not contracted and so can leave whenever they like, overnight if they need to. You need contracted staff to maintain the ‘employment’, standards, ethics and delivery of services. Also the staff are rarely on permanent contracts, unlike other commercial and public service contracts. They are often one year/three years and have to constantly seek funding to keep the staff and utility bills. It’s exhausting managing a charity.

  • @Boo-pv4hn
    @Boo-pv4hn 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I’m sorry but unless you’re doing it and there is a proviso that it’s going to a charity, they have the right to keep it, they have an excessive amount to the nhs! You can’t expect someone to run charities and not earn a living? What about all the charities that spend millions of our money on people to advertise there charity ( often sit around chatting and on there phone) and millions on an excess of managers! That’s our money?! But no one is up in arms about that. Now if the book alludes it’s going to charity then legally yes they are doing something wrong as it’s false advertising and misleading and family often are better to be involved in the charities then bigwigs, because that often makes the difference on money going to the causes and money wastage.
