I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

I literally CANNOT stop listening to A.C.E's version of HYLT it's so soft and addicting istg- I never knew HYLT could sound so angelic and A.C.E pulled it off amazingly ( I mean ofc they're A.C.E ) the harmonies, falsettos, the arrangement is all so beautiful..so, thank you for reacting to it!

a lot of the time when boy groups do dance covers of girl group songs people like it when they 'masculinize' the choreo but honestly... i love when they commit to the femininity of the original. it shows that they don't view feminine choreo as lesser and they respect the girls' original hard work. we love kings who drink their respect women juice.
(also ngl it certainly doesnt hurt that guys doing girl group choreo is lowkey sexy too)
I love it when they don't do that either. Treasure really went all the way with that cover and it's amazing. Reminds me of iKon dancing to red Velvet. They didn't try to make it more masculine too 👏

It's pronounced Gah-ho. He has really good songs, you should check him out and his group PLT. They're kinda like SuperM and are just solo artists under the same label brought together. I recommend their songs Igoholic and Hocus Pocus.
For Gaho solo songs, I recommend Stay Here and Fly.

A.C.E really do the best covers. I have always said that if i was an artist and a.c.e did a cover of my song i would be nervous because their covers are always better than the originals lol they ate. and made it their own. I love them
Keopi_Milk yes, I do watch their covers last year and became their stan for a month (they are the group, I stan outside YG btw) but I lost connection when I became busy in school, and didnt catch up with their past contents

my favourite thing about the vocal covers is that they’re so different from the original. they both really made the song their own i love them so much they did so well
fun fact: Hyunsuk was really close with Byeongkwan, Sehyoon, and Donghun (especially Byeongkwan) when they were all on the survival show Mixnine. Donghun, Byeongkwan, and Hyunsuk all made it to the top9 and would've debuted together in a temporary group if that group wasn't cancelled. Also hyunsuk would've been the maknae in that group but now he is the oldest and leader in treasure. I highly recommend looking up pictures of byeongkwan with hyunsuk theyre very cute!
Omg ACE?!???? they all sounded so good individually you wouldn’t know who the rappers are unless they start rapping lol wow, i got to listen to one of their covers before which was also good i think it was just the three vocals. I am now convinced to stan ACE hard 😂

for real though, Gaho and A.C.E are my favorite soloist/boy group, I'm well aware of how amazing they are but both completely blew my mind with their HYLT covers, they are just that good, their vocals are out of this world and the new arrangements are god tier. it's so sad to see both suffer the same fate of getting more attention for their covers or in Gaho's case OSTs than their own songs.

The styling of Gaho and Ace arrangement are pretty different from one another, but I loved how they both arranged it and made it their own. Like seriously their covers were just amazing. It’s crazy to see how much one can change a style of a song.

I really like how you put all my thought about A.C.E in just a perfect wayy. Maybe because we usually hear all these choir things in their cover. But overall, they totally nailed it!!
